Where is everyone on working out? I have been doing the elliptical 5 days a week and lifting 2. However I'm starting to think its time to cut it down as I get tired way sooner now. Looking for some ideas. Didn't see a recent check In, but mobile is so limited.
I'm still teaching aerobics 3 days a week and doing cardio a few other days. (My classes are all strength training/lifting classes) it's getting harder to do a few moves. I have a hard time doing a power clean without getting close to hitting my belly.
I am thinking when I adjust my workout, I will switch to doing a few days in the water. I heard it helps when pregnant. The only problem with this is none of my bathing suits fit, and I would need to buy a new one.

I'm starting to really cut back. I'm just completely drained after teaching classes. I'm doing 5 classes a week nitrating in March. 2 low impact, 1 strength and 2 Zumba. I actually made it further than I anticipated! I thought I would have to completely stop by March. I may start doing some low impact resistance training at home to make up for some of what I have paused. Twins is way different. I. Had no problem making it to 38 weeks with DD.

I have cut way back on running and have replaced it with elliptical workouts 6/days a week, plus a barre class and some yoga. I am noticing that I am a lot more tired lately- I mimicked a "long run" on the elliptical on Saturday (1:45 minutes) and then went on with my day- after walking the mall for a couple hours with my sister I was dead tired. My feet even hurt! I mostly cut back on running because I was getting pelvic pains and was getting sick of having to pee every mile... on the elliptical I don't usually have to pee.

Still teaching zumba 3x per week. Not sure how much further I'm going to make it! Only because I worked one night at the hospital and now I'm limping and have loose SI JOints again. I'm hoping they calm down so I will be able to teach... And work.
Gym membership expired and I can't walk for long periods of time anymore because of my diastasis recti, so now I'm pretty much limited to sedentary exercise. Lifting while sitting on the ball, squats, some yoga poses and stretches. I try to do 20 minutes of this every morning.

Holy Smokes! I thought it was tough just being pregnant and teaching... I can't imagine being pregnant with twins!
I take a hip hop class once a week and try to get to line dancing when I can. We are on vacation in Florida right now so doing lots of walking, biking, kayaking. DH is always on me to add strength training to my routine.
After I have the LO is like to get back into teaching Zumba - although my ZIN membership has expired so I'd have to take the workshop all over again I'm thinking I have enough hip hop and Latin songs in my area all that I could teach some kind of dance fusion class, but might need ACE or AFFA certification first.
I am still going to Crossfit 3 days a week. In the last week I have started modifying everything but a few lifts. I am done running (i row instead) and do planks, squats or wall sits in place of any abdominal work. Just in general I am taking it pretty slow. I figure showing up is half the battle right now.
Awesome job ladies! Ive been practicing vinyasa yoga 2-3x a week and recently started attending a prenatal class in addition as a lot of my practice has been limited. How is everyone doing with regular/prenatal yoga?

I'm still doing pilates twice a week with my instructor and hope to get a little more in at home. I had to quit running and it's really making me depressed, especially since it's been sunny and 60 the last week or so. We've been building out our nursery so I've been crazy running around on the weekends always on my feet, so that's making me feel okay about not having a routine yet. I hope to start swimming this week. There's an aqua jog class at my community pool that I think will be fun. It's just getting so much harder because I'm heavier, slower and have less flexibility/lung capacity to do anything.
You all are seriously so inspirational and awesome! I waitress, and that is all the working out I can find it in myself to do. And I'm cutting back on that schedule too. Just tooo tired. You all kick some serious ass!

Don't be scared i don't mind running, But since its freezing out its maybe 50m laps and awful. I do like the rower, though! Watch a couple of videos on proper technique, you'll save a ton of effort and get the same result!
I usually work out 4-5 days a week. I do the stair machine (looks like an escalator) amd walking on the treadmill. I follow that with some LIGHT lifting.
But I went on strike last week. I was just burnt out. I had an emotional moment where I just didn't want to think about staying healthy. Plus my DH was leaving at the end of the week for a one week trip. So I was just feeling down in the dumps.
I knew working out would have helped my emotional state but I just was not willing to suit up and go.
Reading this thread and everything you fellow mommas are doing has seriously reinspired me!!!!
staccajaye, Thanks for the moral support! It really feels great. The workouts are 20 minutes but they feel like such a lame 20 minutes compared to what I used to do only a few weeks ago, and what so many of you others are still doing (great job everyone !!!) But I have to remind myself that consistent is good too. Thanks

You ladies are putting me to shame. I'm still doing zumba once a week. I don't know how much longer I can keep that up, I've only been making though half the class the past couple of times. I've been going to the warm water pool at the Y with the family once a week (It feels amazing on my sore hips!). I'm hoping the weather will turn around soon (-2 today) so that I can at least walk the neighborhood a couple times a week.

You ladies are inspiring me as well! I wear a calorie counter and saw I still burn 8-1000 cals per class. That doesn't include afterburn. I am seriously trying to workout as long as I can!
@tiggyt753 you better give yourself your due credit!
corrys12 I sometimes lose my motivation too. If I wasn't teaching, it would be even harder. Keep going!!!
veenie damn girl! Now I give an award to you. Crossfit is something I could not see myself doing. Kudos!

nurserachel22 if you like to lift and are self competitive it's great! Anyone can do it, but I realize not everyone has the desire. I fought it for 2+ years because I hated H talking about it all.the.time. But, here I am 1+ years later sticking to the first exercise plan ever!

Try a belly band - they really help keep the baby off your bladder and stop them from bouncing around so much. It worked for me for a couple months, but now it's just too painful overall to carry the extra weight and be bouncing that much.
Hi ladies! Im teaching spin 3x a werek, lifting 2x a week, and doing yoga qx a week.Ive been playing volleyball 1x a week, but I think this thursday is my last time because my hips are starting to get sore.
Luckily I have my boyfriend to motivate me but lately I have been running/walking for 30 minutes with some light lifting at least three times a week, and yoga three times a week. It definetly helps me feel better but I get so exhausted some days it's hard to go. Also when I start running I get a little crampy on my lower belly and almost always have to stop to pee, is it just the weight getting bounced around?

Thanks I may have to try to invest in one. The cramping doesn't last but the first ten minutes are so uncomfortable.
I had to give up running once I hit the second trimester.... It was causing me to cramp up no matter how easy I took it. So I've been doing elliptical for 30-45 mins at a time, walking on treadmill for 30 mins, and alternating days of lifting and Tracy Anderson's prenatal DVD series. I can't wait until it gets warmer and we can walk outside again!!

I have been trying to get to the gym 2-3 times a week depending on my schedule (I work full time nights and sometimes that's about all I can do). I have been walking on the treadmill and I throw in a few intervals of jogging. Sometimes it feels better than others but I just try and listen to my body. Usually my bladder is screaming. Lately my legs are a little more sore (must be the extra 20 lbs they aren't used to carrying). I also lift weights after I walk. I've lowered the weight a little but mostly modified the exercises I am doing. My whole workout is about an hour total and I'm usually pretty beat by the end. Makes me feel like a loser but it's better than nothing.
