Wassup, Weekend?

DS woke up at 2am for a bottle and he went right back to sleep, but I couldn't sleep. So, I was still awake when he woke up at a little before 4:30 with no desire to go back to sleep. Of course now he's sleeping in his swing after happily rolling around on the floor for like 45 minutes (not really rolling, but he scoots around and tries to roll over). I wish I could take a shower without waking anyone up, but DD2 for sure would wake up. I'd like to go to Target when it opens at 8am, or shortly thereafter, before the masses descent upon it.

DS2 was also up at 2am. This is the first time he's gotten up in the MOTN in a couple nights. He ate a couple oz and went back to bed, no problem. Got back up at 6. MH tried to put him back to bed prematurely, so neither of this got anymore sleep while listening to him whine and cough on the monitor. He's in there rocking him now, why, I don't know. Give up the ghost dude. DS1 is up now too, we don't get to sleep in anymore. This is not news. It's annoying that you're still so bent about it every fracking weekend.

That said, gawd do I wish I could just sleep till 8 one weekend.

I feel a little crabby. I should probably get some caffeine in me stat.

britta glad to hear nothing major occurred overnight.
We have a wedding tonight. I'm sure I'll enjoy myself once I'm there (minus the pumping-still gotta figure that out), but I don't know what I'm wearing. I atleast have to go to target and get spanx and nylons. Possibly shoes. I feel very flabby. Bacon and ice cream all week didn't help that. DD2 has had such trouble nursing, I'm nervous about her getting multiple bottles tonight and refuse to nurse anymore. And just having my mom and stepdad do bedtimes with the girls stresses me out. But it'll be a night out which is nice.

sanibel21 have fun at the wedding! And you can't go wrong with a little black dress. That's my go to when feeling flabby and I don't know what to wear.

DD's usually awesome sleep has been meh the past few nights. Usually I get a 4-5 hour stretch, then it's up every hour or two after that. Luckily, she goes back down easy and only eats for 10 minutes or so- yay for an efficient eater!
My uncle is up visiting from MD this weekend, so lots of family stuff planned. MH is off this weekend too, so it is nice to have him home.
Oh, I forgot to tell you guys! The company I had that job offer that I turned down called me again with a new offer. I am 99% sure I am taking it. I will be making more at the new job working part time than I currently make working full time! It doesn't offer benefits though (which we currently get through me) so I am checking to make sure my husband's plan doesn't suck and covers what we need. I am really excited though! I def need a change with what I am doing, and this new place seems so awesome.

So, MH told me he puked this morning and his stomach felt off all night. Wtf. Now I feel kinda bad for being irritated that he was halfassed parenting and wanting to come back to bed. And spiraling because my stomach has felt off too, but I was attributing it to my fiber supplement I took later than normal last night. DNW more sickness. Please just let this be something he and I ate. I guess the good(?) news is that I don't feel super awful, but (confession) I'm really not looking forward to more solo parenting today.

G slept awesome last night. I couldn't enjoy it though because I was up half the night puking. Maybe N did have a bug after all. MH took N to swimming and then they are both getting haircuts. G and I are hanging out. He'll need to eat soon; my right boob is rock hard right now (he only nurses from one side and hasn't on the right since last night). I don't plan on moving from this bed much today.

britta, I'm glad the night was relatively uneventful. I hope you and YH are not getting sick.
sanibel21, enjoy your night out! We went to a wedding when N was 3 months old, and he did great. My BIL watched him at the hotel and my ILs left the reception early to help him. MH was the best man so we stayed till the end. The only downside was N was still up when we got back to the hotel. Your girls will be just fine.

jwinct one of the things I already miss about maternity leave was the ability to go to Target during the week. Not crowded and I could be in and out. The closest one to me is 20 minutes away and is crazy on the weekends.

Gymnastics this morning for DD. DH is helping his best friend move so it's just me and the kids today. Going grocery shopping this afternoon. Not sure what else we'll end up doing.

Sleep was not great in this house last night. I feel like I would trade many things for one decent night of sleep.

1.5 weeks on Weigjt Watchers and I've only lost 0.5 lbs. I know it's a conservative plan for breastfeeding but ugh. I turned down muffins and ate fruit!

Most people will say nude nylons are a big no-no in general (I personally like nylons and don't give a shit about fashion), but nylons with open-toed shoes are definitely a no-no.

FTR, I don't think there's anything wrong with nylons, *provided they're the right color for your skin tone. I hate being cold.

Fashion is cruel. As another one with pale, being cellulite legs, I say show them off! That said, do what works best for you

So my MIL just called and asked for an update on DS2. She was like, "I didn't want to call and bother you so, going forward, is there a way you could make a post or something to let people know how he is?"

........

No, I'm not going to blow up my Facebook with updates on my son's illness. You can call me or message me if you want (which is what FIL did yesterday). Weird.

Because keeping other people updated is on every mother's priority list when their 3 month old is sick. #duh

Howdy friends. More of the same around these parts. Grocery shopping 🛒 and errands. DD is still sick. If she doesn't get worse Ive read she could be coughing for weeks. Ugh. Its horrendous to hear. Note to self: no more rsv season babies.

@snuff9861 if it is RSV, yeah the cough can last for up to 3 weeks after the virus peaks. And yeah, after DS1 I said "No more cold/flu season babies" and here I am. Le sigh. I said it again the other day and MH was like, "No. No more babies. Period. The end." Ok. Probably true.

Counting down the minutes to bedtime. I feel like I've been up for days right now. Parenting a sick child sick is the freshest of hells.

I walked around the neighborhood to help my oldest sell Girl Scout cookies and then working on laundry. Hoping to watch a movie with my H soon . Hope all the babies are feeling better and their mommies!

Solo parented today and survived! The baby was on the opposite sleep schedule of the older two but it worked out best not trying to entertain all three at once. And I didn't need a nap because I fell asleep at 730 last night and was well rested.

Spent the afternoon getting clothes, household goods, and toys ready for donating. I found a couple new organizations in town to donate to. I'm excited to support some new causes and have the items distributed to those in need free of charge.
