It is here in VA! Not sure if it is everywhere? We have an online link you can get cookies shipped directly to you but the shipping is expensive. But if you get desperate for cookies I can send you the link!
If I get desperate I will totally take you up on that.
Okay I'm finding out what the deadline is for online orders.

It's so interesting how the Girl Scout cookie thing works. MH bought some on Christmas Eve in front of a grocery store near my mom's house. I haven't seen any here yet.
I managed to keep everything I've eaten and drank today down, so I think I'm on an upswing. I hope G sleeps well again so I can get some rest.

I'm sure it's different in different areas? We started taking pre orders that are due at the end of this month and then they'll be doing booths in places like in front of grocery stores.
Sorry for all the sick Mommas and babies. O has a little cough and is congested but not bad enough to take her in yet.
We had a good day, I took DD1 to a photo booth play date, was warm enough for a walk outside, and actually had sex for the second time since O was born.
Still no bottle action around here.
I'm trying so hard to stay up for SNL but not sure I'm going to make it.
Oh yeah, also DH thawed some muffins from the freezer and I realized my Mom made them the last time she was here. I took a bite and just started bawling that it would be the last thing I ever ate that my Mom made. I'm mostly doing okay but that hit me hard.
So G listened to my wishes, and slept until 6. I feel so much better today after a solid night's sleep. Grocery shopping and prepping for my first day care drop off for both boys tomorrow. We'll also be watching football later. Go Pats! 😃
We could have had a really decent night. H and I were both lights out by 9, but I woke at 1:45 and didn't fall back to sleep until close to or after 4. In that time, DS1 woke up yelling for me because his "forehead hurt", DS2 woke up screaming and coughing that last a good 45 minutes, and DS1 woke up again during that time because "baby I waked me up!!!" I was sitting up sprialing on DS1 complaining of headache and praying to all the Gods that he wasn't getting sick. I still think H and I ate something bad, but that remains to be seen.
Anyway, I think we're feeling better today. No plans, obviously trying to lay low since DS2 is still so miserable. Yesterday he had terrible coughing fits that resulted in vomiting up at least 4 of his bottles. I think that's the most since he's been sick. We did take a drive yesterday to look at two property potentials for building on. One was a definite, absolute no and the other was a surprising possibility. We really only looked at it since we were out, not expecting much, so that was nice.
Aww britta I hate how much your little guy is struggling. O threw up some phlegm yesterday too.
becole the LC just called back with a few tips I thought I'd pass on. She suggested Playtex bottles because they have a shorter nipple (the one we haven't tried). She also said they suggest to nurse sometimes with a nipple shield so baby gets used to that texture. I have one from C so I think I'll try that today.

Thanks girl! I was also told about the playtex nipple but I haven't been able to find one in a single pack to try.
I also tried the nursing shield thing. Sometimes it works better if you get a let down and then put it on.

Playtex nipples are weirdly sized and will only fit on their own bottles (at least up here)! I have a shit ton because DS used them. DD has no interest in them because the part under the nipple (the equivalent to the areola) is too big for her dainty liking.
Right before bed last night, I thought DD had pooped. Went to change her diaper....looked like someone had sneezed in it. I should be glad she's at least clearing some of it. But eww.
fem so sorry for the unexpected and extra emotional moments there. Sending you hugs. britta that stinks about the rough night. Good luck with the bottle guys, that sounds stressful. Medela always worked for us. I also think they have nipples called calma that are supposed to be even more like the breast? I dunno, like you guys need another rec, I'm sure. We went to breakfast this am. DH and I have been trying to clean and manage kids, and it's just been kind of a circus around here. Girls are napping now and we're resting.
fem and becole I had really great success with the Born Free Breeze bottles (if you are looking for another recommendation). Good luck- I hope you guys find something that works soon!
DS1 has been a little off since he woke up from his nap today. He told me his legs hurt. After his cough from a week or so ago was getting better, he was coughing more and had a runny nose. He wouldn't eat dinner tonight and I noticed he was sort of shaking, so I asked him why. "Because I'm cold he said."
adouces06 - That stomach bug is brutal. I hope he feels better soon!
My cousin passed away today. We weren't overly close as adults, but it's still so sad. I think I may have told you about her. In early November, a week before her 37th birthday, she went into cardiac arrest and her brain was deprived of oxygen for 15 minutes. She was anorexic and the only thing she consumed was alcohol. Her blood chemistry was so bad - she had no electrolytes when they found her. She had been in a vegetative state since then, and they took her off the ventilator last weekend. She may have made some bad choices, but she was truly a good person and deserved better than this. She had gotten herself into such a bad place that my aunt and uncle have been raising her kids for the past couple of years. The last time I saw her was two years ago, when MH and I were in Boston for our anniversary. My aunt & uncle and cousins just happened to be at the same Red Sox game, so we all hooked up after the game and spent the entire evening together. When we met up, I was shocked when I saw her - she looked horrible, anorexic. And she was drunk the entire time, and almost got us all kicked out of the restaurant we were at. It was so sad to see her like that, and I really hate that it's the last memory I have of her. She was really such a sweet girl. Like me, she was also a NKOTB fan, and had never had the chance to see them in concert, so I'd wanted to take her at some point, and now I'm not going to get the chance.
adouces06 and britta can't even send enough hugs for all that sickness. jwinct that is so terribly sad about your cousin. I remember you talking about her. I'm so sorry for your loss.
