Yesterday ds and I made pudding. I decided to be responsible and only eat half of my bowl. I put the rest back in the fridge with my spoon in it with plans to have it with my morning coffee. Well I have my coffee but no pudding. Who eats a half eaten pudding that's clearly not yours? Who eats the last of something when there's a super pregnant lady in the house? Silly boys. *adds a bunch of things to the honey do list*
My DH is notorious for eating anything and everything in the house lakegirl, even when it's clearly not for him. (Well, clear to me.) I had a whole mega box of Frozen gummies for DD that I bought from target a week ago. Guess what's half empty already? Not cool DH.
Bs bilirubin is down to 19, so we've made good progress. If it's lower this morning they may let him out to nurse instead of having me pump. For some reason, my pumping output is steadily decreasing with each session...so I'm eager to get him back to breast. We're here through tomorrow since he has to be observed for 48 hrs, so I'll be here mostly just TCFing all day.
Good morning ladies. We're here at the hospital, I get to shower this morning and have my IV out of my hand, looking forward to feeling more normal after that. Going home tomorrow I believe. I miss DD1 but she's been having fun at my parents.
ellabee I hope he continues on the right track! FX

I have nothing exciting to report. E hasn't pooped since Tuesday so she is crabby a bit. Those STM's when did you transition #1 to a crib in their own room? H wants to soon but it still feels early. H probably won't get good sleep if we keeps her in the pack and play in our room.
peaseblossom55 - we transitioned our DD to a crib in her own room at 4 months. I thought it was a good age and worked well for us. Earlier than that probably would have just been masochistic because she was up more than twice a night to feed.
Good morning ladies. I could've probably joined you in the MOTN thread since I slept like absolute shit, then DH let the pup out of his crate and never thought that maybe his whining meant he had to go out, so I woke up from a near slumber on the couch to take the dogs out. While he's still in bed. I can't believe that it never even occurred to him... So, yeah, another day I'm not exactly a happy camper. Ugh.
Morning! Last night was another cluster feeding night. We are at the hospital this morning for W's 2 day appt and weight check. And a BP check for me (which they just did and was normal).
peaseblossom55, with DS1 we put him in is crib in his own room at 2 weeks (he was napping in there on occasion from day 1). He was a very noisy sleeper and after moving him we all slept better.
Now with DS2, he's been in his own room (which is immediately adjacent to our bedroom) since coming home. I slept in there t h e first few nights and now we just sleep with the door open. His MOTN wake ups last 45-90min so being in a seperate room means DH is disturbed as little as possible.
We learned first time around that our relationship suffers when we're both sleep deprived so trying to minimize that where possible.
DH and I had a fight last night mostly because I'm feeling overwhelmed and undersupported but prompted by him being short with me a couple of times. I hope it cleared the air and helps but time will tell...
Not sure what are plans are today. It's st and windy so options with DS1 after his swim lesson are limited. Maybe the library. It could be a long day if we're stuck at home...

In regards to sleeping, DS1 moved to a crib at 3 weeks. This was mostly because we wanted him used to it before we moved across the country so the transition would be easier. W is a noisy sleeper lately and I think it's because he's congested but I may try the crib out tonight so that I can get some sleep. He's napped in it fine so I'm unconcerned.

peaseblossom55 we moved DS to a crib in his own room at 4.5 months but it perfectly lined up with returning from a trip where he had to learn to sleep flat in a PNP
With N the plan is to move her before I go back to work, which is around May 1.
I have to get up to feed anyway because our bedroom isn't conductive to that, but I just like being able to check on them or rock them without getting up

lakegirl who eats half a bowl of pudding?? My ex used to do shit like that. My current H would never.
ellabee great news on the bili levels! Hope you can BF soon.
@orangcrush I never did shower at the hospital, I just wanted to get home! Getting the IV out was huge though. Hope your going home is on schedule
carrots we're using the RNP unapologetically. DS would not sleep until we got one when he was around 5 weeks. We don't even have a crib set up for N yet because DS is still using it
pibblemom sorry for your rough night and your DH not using his brain
tex hope his checkup goes well, glad your BP is normal!
bazinga sorry about your fight I hope it clears the air and resets expectations appropriately
As for us, N was a very good girl for me last night. She is BFing like a champ and my body is producing milk well. Such a difference than with DS. She's pooped like 4 times in the last 12 hours, just eating like crazy.
DH is working this afternoon but my parents are coming over to help. Monday is my dad's last day, their visit has flown by. My mom will be here another week after that.
Bili is down to 17. I think if the next check is under 15 they may let him nurse.
He's eating a bit more than I'm pumping, and I'm adding in a few mls of the milk I got from my milk saver last week to top off the bottles. I'm a bit nervous about my supply, but I keep telling myself we can get back on track with nursing once we're home.

carrots, anecdotally, my DD1 slept in a RNP next to my bed for 6 weeks. Then transitioned to a crib no problem. ( peaseblossom55, 6 weeks).
lakegirl, i'd swat the shit out of my husband with a rolled up newspaper if he tried to eat my pudding.
We had a little cluster feeding in the early portion of overnight. which actually led to a very full, very sleepy baby. And very full and uncomfortable boobs.
I know there's the newborn check-in over on the breastfeeding board, but would anyone else be interested in an ongoing nursing thread for commiseration, tips, tricks?
I have to laugh because when MH left to go home to shower DD and I were done nursing and I put her in the bassinet to nap and I was going to nap. As soon as he left she spit up/pooped then needed to nurse again. It's been so hectic while he's been gone and of course he's almost back and we are finally right back where he left us 😂
Mh is redeeming himself by going out to get me more pudding in addition to grocery shopping for dinners since all I did yesterday was snack shopping. We took ds to the playground at the park with a nice walking loop so I put in a mile. All the bumps we hit in the car felt super uncomfortable, I have to be getting close right?
I've used that Have You Had The Baby Yet site at least six times between today and yesterday. It's proving to be handy. And names! People are harrassing me to see if we picked a name yet and offering their suggestions.
They cleared B to nurse for his next feed!! Yay!! He gets his next lab draw at 10pm and if that's low enough, we'll do a rebound test to see if his levels go way back up without the lights. He has a pretty big cephalahematoma (aka bump) on his head that the pedis have said can contribute to jaundice. As the blood in the bump breaks down, it's a lot of extra volume for the body to process. Hopefully this doesn't make him rebound too much, or it looks like we might be here until Monday.

It seems so soon for her to transition but I bet we would sleep better if she did and perhaps we could stop the shift thing. I don't know. She has a hard time sleeping on flat surfaces still. Perhaps we will try naps in the crib and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice and opinions! ETA: H said he hasn't been sleeping well since his friend at work got laid off. He said 5% of the company got laid off the rest got raises and he is not sure what group he will fall under. I mentioned go back to work this Monday or call in. He won't he said he is sure he is ok but it has me worried a bit. Sigh.
I've been having cramps and contractions most of the day. Mostly attributed to being over tired but they went through my nap and continued too. They're not painful, rarely even approach nuisance level and are irregular so I'm guessing it's nothing but BH. I guess we'll see as the night goes on?
Ug. Same pibblemom. I've had some weird cramps/contractions and overall belly tightness today. Plus I've felt kind of off today and lost more of my mp. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.
Hopefully this is it for you lakegirl! I'm almost hoping it's not for me just for tonight. I scheduled to pick up some things 90 mins away with one of my employees tomorrow. I could always just send him but I'd rather not.

peaseblossom55 Just for contrast, DS has always had his own room. But slept with us until at least 2. But now one of us usually sleeps with him, and he'll be 3 soon.
My OBs don't cover deliveries on the weekends pibblemom so I'm kind of indifferent. Plus mh wants her to come on a weekday so he can skip out on work...so I'm sure she'll show up on a weekend!

Because I posted in the wrong spot, I'm posting here, too lol
Good points to my day: - I stepped on the scale for the first time since W's first checkup. I'm almost back to pre-W weight! Only a few pounds off. This was a relief because I've been panicking about how hard it would be to lose this baby weight plus the leftover from DS1. - Since I'm barely spotting at this point, I was given the green light to take a real bath! Yay! - I also had my first glass of alcohol since before W.
Not so good points: - Everyone is getting sick in my house minus H which means he'll get sick when everyone is better and be that much more irritating about it. - Had to kick H to the couch for the night so W and I have the bed to ourselves since the swing isn't helping his congestion but laying in our bed seems to work well. - My throat coat tea did nothing to help my throat. Hopefully, this Aleve will.
