thelittleredm awesome on the weight loss! I'm pretty much there too, nursing really sucks the weight off-extra benefit! I actually gave most of my maternity jeans to my sil bc I absolutely hate them. They are so saggy, I figure I will just rock my yoga pants and leggings until my pre-baby jeans fit comfortably again.
ETA: also, hope the sickness in your house goes away soon. We are seriously working on almost over a month of this annoying upper respiratory thing, we just can't kick the cough.
Bs levels are down to 13! They're going to keep him under the lights overnight and then retest at 6am. Hopefully then he'll be able to come out for his rebound test for 6hrs and we'll see where he's at mid-afternoon. We've had a few good nursing sessions, and he's just passed his birthweight. Progress!

Great update ellabee! thelittleredm, congrats on the weight loss! I'm still too scared to step on the scale...
So the LC's feeding plan involves 30 min of nursing per boob. The last few times he has cried and displayed hunger cues so I supplemented with 1 oz of formula. Trying to stay positive that this doesn't indicate a supply issue. I just hope he's gaining weight.
We made it through the night. DS's fever is down, hes been eating well. The nurses fed him during the night so I could get some sleep. It took four attempts to get his IV yesterday.
Yesterday had to be one of the hardest days of my life.
((Hugs)) heybulldog56. I'm right there with you with the supply worry and the weight worry and the extra supplementing. This is hard. Fx that everything we're doing is laying the groundwork for an easier road ahead. Keep chugging along mama, we've got this.
His fever is staying down. I think he has some pain on his foot where the IV he is because he randomly screams and cries if he touches something with his foot. They let me dress him in long sleeves today and wrap him in a blanket, yesterday he had to be pratically naked with all of his monitorings and the high fever.
The last 2 nursing sessions with B have gone so well that they didn't need to supplement with my pumped milk afterwards. 😊
His levels are down to 12 this morning and they're waiting for the neonatologist to round and potentially give the okay to take him off the lights. Once he comes off they have to retest him in 6-8hrs to see if his levels rebound. So more of the same waiting around today.
I guess on the up side, if I don't get to go home today, at least I have a personal tv to watch playoff football...
Oh. Are we talking about PP weight loss? Because I'm sitting in the parking waiting for my cookie dealer, I mean Girl Scout, to hurry up and set up her booth. #cabooselyfe
LOL lakegirl. Before I went on leave, a coworker was passing around her daughters girlscout cookie sheet at work and in my heavily pregnant state I may or may not have ordered 6boxes of cookies...
Now all of these boxes are waiting for me in my office when I return to work. This is not so good for my postpartum weight loss...
ellabee I stuck with four boxes only because I messed up the math. As the girl was handing be back $4 I was like no! I can get another box! I wanted $20 worth of cookies! But didn't want to be that pregnant lady.
We are heading home today! I can't wait to see DD. My parents are taking her back to our house then we will come home this afternoon.
Nursing is going better than with DD1 (I guess I have to start doing that now!) I am super engorged and have been doing a few minutes of manual pumping on the last breast after she feeds to relieve it.
Recovery is going ok. I've been walking a bit and feel ok but I know it's mostly because of the pain meds. I am allergic to the mesh panties this time around! The worst. I have a rash all around my groin. MH is going on an undie run later lol.
My favorite girl scout cookies are thing mints. Followed very closely by the new S'mores cookies. Even though Id' rather just make toaster over s'mores. Actually, I have the ingredients. Maybe I'll make some today! Though I also bought a dry mix for peanut butter cookies. So I was thinking of making those and popping hershey's kisses on top when them come out of the oven.
B is off the lights and can room in with me! We can't leave until tomorrow morning because they want to draw his levels at 24 hrs off therapy, but at least he's with me. I won't lie that I don't mind having another day of someone bringing me my 3 meals.
That sucks about the mesh panties @orangcrush. But I'm glad you are getting to leave!
W's check this morning went pretty well. His level came down slightly and he is up 1.5 oz from yesterday. The doc wants us to come back on Tuesday for one more check (in the pediatric clinic) but he doesn't anticipate them going back up. Between W's marathon pooping sessions and getting a better latch, we are on the right track I think.
I'm feeling pessimistic enough today that I'm making pulled pork in the slow cooker.
I'm out of things to clean. If she doesn't show up while my house is immaculately spotless for my inlaw's stay I will be sad. Then I will have to eat all of these cookies.

bazinga, I took DD1 grocery shopping yesterday after nap. It's "our thing" (ie - she's a daddy's girl and typically only wants to be around him. But she loves going to the "market" with mommy). It was my first time out of the house since Tuesday. And it was glorious.
Just a word of caution. I've been bleeding a little more since last night. Maybe coincidence? Maybe more walking than I've done in the past 9 days? Maybe from lifting DD (2yo, maybe 28 pounds) in and out of the car seat and shopping cart? Maybe lifting a few heavy grocery bags? Anyway, just wanted to share.
Also, I'm nervous for my first solo trip out of the house with both girls. When I first had DD1, my SMIL went grocery shopping with me. She didn't help "hands-on" but was giving me pointers. Like, with the logistics of loading the cart to maximize it's capacity with the bucket seat taking up so much space, and loading the car up with the bags, returning the cart while baby is in it and THEN putting baby back in the car last... it was so helpful.
But how the hell does one shop with the bucket seat in the cart, and a toddler in the seat? Like, where do you put the food? Can you only purchase a frozen pizza and bag of baby carrots?
