Where did all of this snow come from already. I was so not ready to see what I saw when I looked out the window.
Welp . Hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows for me before dinner. All of you ladies out there dealing with this crazy snowy weather be safe and stay warm.
I am bottle feeding DS and we have tried Born Free, Avent and I have a Tommee Tippee bottle I haven't used yet. DS is collapsing all of the nipples during a feed. This is a new thing, he didn't at first, but the past few days its been happening with all my bottles so much I have to take the collar off several times at each feeding to clear the vacuum that gets created. I have been careful that all valves can open and that all the pieces are put together properly before a feeding and I also make sure that the collar isn't on too tight.
Any idea what is going on? Or do you have a bottle recommendation if you have experienced this before?

I'm irritated. They may move my induction up which is totally fine with me but if it's successful they are talking about giving me a binder, starting a balloon induction and sending me home afterward? I mean they are giving me an epidural already in case I have to have an emergency c/s if the baby is in distress, so why not just start labor if it's successful so I don't have to figure out more childcare, pay for a second epi, etc? Ugh, am I being unreasonable? I did not think I would be going home without a baby after this was a possibility.

I think it either means that the valve (if you have one with a valve) is clogged or you might want to move up to the next flow nipple b/c he's wanting more than he's getting.

I've never even heard of planning to send you home after starting an induction. I would ask your doctor why they're planning this.
And epidural a are expensive. My insurance with my first didn't cover it. I'm still paying it off.

I pay $250 for an epidural with my insurance, I don't want to pay $500 if I can avoid it :/

Can you get a reason for this? Especially since it's a change from the original plan. I don't think you're being unreasonable at all.

missys, I was prepared for the NST today thanks to you My H says thank you, too. She is apparently not stressed at all and has 'an abundent' amount of fluid.
Someone from my OB office is supposed to call me to set up an induction date for Sunday. I'm finally dilated (1cm) and at a -2.

Had a growth scan today. Baby still high but his head is huge and measuring over 40 weeks while I'm only 39w1d. They are not sure if his head will move and fit into my pelvis..and he's supposedly over 8 lbs. Goodness...I blame my husband!
6 days from my due date and going back to work tomorrow OB appt on weds to see what Dr has to say about my giant!

On that note, I'm off to walk on the treadmill!
So happy baby is good and I could give you a little info! Are you ready for the induction? We go in tomorrow at midnight (technically Wednesday) and I am nervous but I know it's best for us. Glad you are dilated too! I have been a steel trap down there for the past 3 weeks of internal exams and I know my doctor said an induction would go better if I was dilated a little on my own.

Good luck with your induction!! I am hopefull she will come on her own soon ... but you have a good point. I should prepare myself for the real possibility of induction. Since I lost my MP this weekend I've been kicking it into high gear with the treadmill walking and yoga ball bouncing.
Of course, we are getting a snow storm tonight so she'll probably decide to come now

Back home. Still no baby. But LO looks good and is fine. Maybe this is a sign she'll be here soon. I had some contractions while being monitored, but nothing significant. The doctor says that sever low back/hip pain is normal at this stage. I wouldn't wish this type of pain on anyone. I'm in bed with a heating pad on my back and worthless Tylenol in my system.

Fingers crossed she comes on her own! Sounds like you're making progress and doing everything right
I've been bouncing on my ball constantly. It seems like the only seat we have that is actually comfortable. I would sleep on the damn thing if I could!

missys, I LOVE BOUNCING ON THE YOGA BALL! ( I also love the quick tag feature )
Since the doctor explained to me today how much of her head she could feel, I don't think I can convince H to have akward sex with me anymore. It freaks him out and he was at my appointment with me today. So it is all about the bouncing and walking!
I don't like anything with stork or snark in the title so I went with The Littles Project. There were so many options, though. Hopefully they just use this one to narrow down and have another poll.
I did. I also voted for The Littles Project. I think its a cute name.

I'm not in love with any of them. But I'm bad at coming up with names.

Agreed. I voted for The Littles Project because it seems to have the best chance at beating the Stork names, which I don't particularly like. If I had to pick a stork, it'd be the Stork Myth.
miniwheat this happens with my Tommee Tippee bottles but i just take it out, let the nipple fix itself and put it back in. It's a good chance to wipe her mouth or burp her.

Ditto to that.
Hooked up to hear baby's heartbeat and got the Cervidil. This still feels too surreal, even being here at the hospital. Glad we're here though...the roads were pretty bad getting here since they didn't salt or anything. Stay safe ladies!

And reading more of the comments I regret my Littles project vote. Now it just reminds me of the TLC shows.

So my induction and version have been moved to Sunday. I think this means that I'll be staying there until I have him. At least I hope so. I don't want to go through all that and go home. Plus I live forty minutes away, I don't want to start induction to have to turn around again
Hi everyone. I haven't been able to around much since little ellteejay arrived, and when I am I can't make it through a whole thread! We got to come home from the hospital yesterday. My pain level had been much less than I expected post cesarean. I'm mostly managing pain with Tylenol now.
Our first night home was really really hard. Figuring out a newborn is hard you guise. I spent my morning sleep deprived and in tears. Feeling a little more perspective now so I hope I can handle whatever happens tonight better.
Madly in love with LO. I'm thinking of everyone who is still waiting to meet their LOs. I'm so excited for you!
