Morning ladies I didn't see a spam threads so put it here.
I'm so not ready for this snow we are supposed to get. We did a ton of walking this weekend, hoping LO stays in until Weds to at least let the roads be cleared. Have a good one ladies.

It's tax day for my family today. We are also giving my cat away today. I feel like a terrible person and incredibly relieved at the same time. There is only so much I can put up with, and he has pooped on the floor for months. I have had him forever though. So, it's bitersweet. And I woke up so crampy. Still trying to distinguish if it's baby or poop. And finally, Im glad I am in Houston and don't have to deal with snow. It's "cold" today... high in the 50s.

Good morning! Today is Baby Yoshi's due date...and I'm set to start on cervidil tonight/pitocin tomorrow am. I'm anxious as hell, but a weird sort of relieved that we'll already be in the hospital before these 5-8 inches of coming snow are supposed to accumulate here. Trying to eat normally today for my GD diet is going to be interesting...I'm predicting some off numbers due to the anxiety.

40 week checkup this morning. Hoping for more progress. I have A LOT of TMI things going on downstairs, so hopefully labor is in the near future.
I had contractions on and off all weekend. They'd get as close as 10 minutes apart, stick around for an hour, and then stop I'm ready to get this show on the road.
Baby was a little fussy last night so I'm kinda groggy this morning, but we're watching the today show and snuggling on the couch, mentally willing DH to come up and make us breakfast soon.
My mom is coming today and she'll be staying for the week. If I'm really not doing well when she's due to leave, she'll stay longer, but my goal is to be able to let her go next week.
Good luck to everyone preparing to meet their little ones today and in the next few days!

I don't even know why I'm at work. All of my stuff is done. Since I'm still here, they're all "oh you're here! We must have time to get this done yet!"
Snow here too. I have my last NST today before my induction at midnight on Wednesday and I'm just trying to make it through the hours and not go stir crazy. Jealous of all the baby snuggles! !
Morning! its -35 here today. I haven't been outside except to get home from the hospital and one Dr visit for LO in 2 weeks and I feel like I am going stir crazy!!
DS was up every 2 hours last night... so by the time he eats, has a change and gets back to sleep I only got few 45 minute naps last night. The lack of sleep is adding to my stir crazy feeling.

I'm so ready for the snuggles.. I can't wait. This false labor/is this my water breaking and people calling me every day asking if I'm "unpregnant" is getting old. Lol. I'm ready to get this over and done with to have my LO in my arms.

i'm ready for baby R to come out. however i will NOT force him to. My dr is on vaca and wants the other dr to do some testing - i think NST? not sure- U/S & heartbeat for 20 mins. on Thursday and the "backup plan" is to induce on monday. no thank you. i will only be 40+6 so I am pushing to wait until 41+6.
Not sure that this warrants its own thread so I thought I would put it here... I'm curious about those of you who have had a membrane sweep. It doesn't matter to me if it works, cause I know it will work if it's meant to or not. What I'm wondering is how you felt after. I have my 39 week appt tomorrow morning at 9:15. Then I have to go to work. I don't think I would be able to change it to later in the day but I can try. I just know that I've heard it can make you pretty uncomfortable afterwards whether or not it works. Should I do it? Or only do it if I can get my appointment changed to later in the day? Thoughts from you lovely ladies? At my appt last Thursday I was 3cm, 70% and very soft, so I think it is an option if I want to. Anyone want to give me their opinions?

I was 3cm and 70% when I had mine done. I was mostly just crampy after. I had some slight blood but nothing major and I had some minor contractions. I think you're fine to do it early in the day.
Some people have some major symptoms though so take what I said with a grain of salt.

I have an appointment to get my second pregnancy granuloma cut out of my mouth. I am not looking forward to novicane shots in the roof of my mouth and stitches. However... It is ruining my perfect teeth (lots of time and money spent on braces) and I'm talking with a lisp again. The joys of pregnancy
I have my first NST today also. I don't have an appointment scheduled at my OB's office yet... I just called in and left a message on the nurses line asking what protocol is. If the baby is in distress... Does the tech read the results? Do they send them to my doctor? I have no idea how any of this works. I hate that I didn't ask enough questions.
I'm jealous of all the beautiful outside babies!! Keep up the good work mommas!
39+1 today and I'm so tired of being pregnant! Knowing that I could still have 2 more weeks makes me really sad. MIL flies in on Wednesday so I'm really hoping LO decides to wait until then but doesn't Thursday 2/19 sound like a nice birthday?
The snow they are calling for makes me nervous too. Especially since we have to drive to Raleigh to pick up MIL. NC does not typically handle snow well and I'm not trying to be on the roads with a bunch of crazies that can't drive.

I was VERY crampy when they did it with my first. Real contractions started the next day. I personally wouldn't have wanted to sit at work afterwards.

I had 2 sweeps - one at 40w 3cm/80% and it wasn't that bad. I had some cramping and bloody show that night, but nothing ended up happening.
My second sweep was 40w5d same 3cm/80%. I noticed my OB was a little more vigorous this time. My water broke in traffic on the way home from that dr appointment. In the hospital two hours later and 14 hours later, Mia was born.
Some people have some major symptoms though so take what I said with a grain of salt.

I've had NSTs done twice a week since 32 weeks. You will be set up in a comfy chair and they will have a monitor for the heartbeat and then another one for contractions. They look at the baseline heartbeat and then want the number to spike twice by 15 beats in 20 minutes to show they are getting enough oxygen. (You will notice it spike more when they move.) They will check on you and baby throughout the 20 minutes and if they think baby is sleeping or there is concern the doctor will be shown your results right away. They won't let you leave without the doctor allowing you to go. If there is concern or again if baby was sleeping they will send you to an ultrasound called a biophysical profile and check on baby that way. It's a nice 20 minutes to relax and hear them!

My OB did a membrane sweep last Wednesday. It is not comfortable during the procedure. I felt a little crampy and achy after, but not like I needed to go home and rest. It was probably comparable to period cramping. You may or may not spot a little. I know every person is different, so I hope everything goes well.
It also didn't start labor for me. It's Monday and I have had some increased BH and cramps, but not labor. I was not as dilated or effaced as you, so the immediate expectation was to push that along. Hopefully, it did that!
I am working, albeit from home, on Lundi Gras. Most of the world here is off today and tomorrow. Our company is a national company so it is hard to explain to the rest of world the culture of Mardi Gras vs. the party that they see. Our clients definitely do not understand. Most people in the office are taking off today or tomorrow, so it is really slow day. Also our local Louisiana clients are all closed today and tomorrow. So, I expect today to be slooooow.
I had some rather serious BH last night. Enough that I kept thinking, "Is this it?" It took me a long time to get to sleep, but it obviously wasn't it.

Oh I also wanted to post a PSA about an app that we're loving called Sprout Baby. We've been having to track LOs feeding and diapers for the pediatrician, and it's been super helpful. DH and I both can update it from each of our phones and see eachothers updates. It's really been great- I also track my pumping with it. In case anyone is looking for a way to track baby stuff, I highly recommend it!

I had mine swept at 38+4 to see if we could get things going bc of LOs expected size. I was like you and was confident that it would only work if he was ready so we went for it. That was on a Tuesday around 12. The actual procedure was uncomfortable but not necessarily painful for me. Afterwards I felt fine. I went grocery shopping and to the mall with no problems. I didn't feel anything until labor started Wednesday morning around 4:00. I had my DS in my arms at 12:17 on Thursday morning. My experience with a membrane sweep was definitely a positive one, but I know that's not always the case. Fx you have a positive experience too and it jump starts things for you.
Did anyone watch the SNL anniversary last night? I'm not usually a fan of Miley Cyrus, but her performance was awesome. Her voice sounded amazing.
I loved her performance! She's going to do well if she's stops being so darn crazy. If that's the kind of music she's doing from now on, I'll be a fan.
is anyone actually doing work if still at work..... #bored
Nope sitting here on my phone. I'm having a hard time getting out of the chair, almost to the point of tears. People keep asking me for stuff that requires me to get up. DH is going to have one whiny wife today. Poor guy.

i AM. And it sucks the big one. Seriously. Luckily my boss and supervisor are gone today so I can goof off a little more than normal. But I also have to do what she usually does. It sucks. And I feel like everyone is looking at me with that pained look of "you're still here??" ugh. All the more reason to do the membrane sweep tomorrow morning...

Sorry for you ladies who have snow / are expecting snow this week. It's pouring down rain here but temps are in the low 40s so no ice at all - which is great because Louisiana has far too many bridges to deal with ice.
FlutterOfYoshis hope you enjoy your last pregnant day & aren't too anxious! Good luck with your induction!
michelle142 FX you hear about progress at your appt!
@nolagal / @crazycornball (tapatalk shows nolagal but I know the actual site shows crazy cornball so I'm not sure which tags you) I hated going in to the office on Lundi Gras when I lived in NoLa. It felt so pointless. Hope you at least get off early!
As for me, this should be my last week in the office, which is exciting and a bit terrifying. So glad LO is almost here (38+4 today) but it's still weird to say no matter how going into labor works for my FTM body, I'll have an outside baby within a month.
