Cleaned up this morning. The house looked like a bomb went off. Now I'm taking a break since it doesn't take much to wind me these days.
Next on the to do list is to go downstairs and start figuring out storage. We've decided instead of renting the lower half of the house out, we're going to set it up as a playroom in the main living area so I can watch some kids of a family DH works with. The first bedroom will be a nap room and the 2nd a spare bedroom and storage for our personal use. We figure I can make as much as a renter would provide and we wouldn't have to do as many renos as quickly and it will give the kids some outside social interaction while I commit to this SAHM thing. I hope it's a good fit for our family.

Probably in April/May. We plan to find a middle ground on when they need care, and when I feel ready to take on more. DD1 is pretty easy going being 4 and will start kindergarten in September. We're starting with just the one other sib set to see if it's something we can handle.

My poor C has pink eye. I picked him up early from DC yday and am home w him right now. DC said he could come back tmrw if his eye isn't runny. We'll play it by ear though and see how he's looking/feeling.

I'm so in love with my new winter coat. The one I bought last year sucked. It was heavy, bullky and didn't keep me warm. I felt the cold air coming in by my shoulders. After weeks of searching, I finally found one that wasn't too bullky and didn't have that quilted puffy look. It's a bit snug in the midsection but I'm hoping that's just bloaty AF. I'm kind of hoping it'll get really cold so I can really try it out! I kept the tag on just in case lol.
Totally- does your area have never ending waitlists like ours?
Only 3 out of probably 15 centers in the 4 towns I'm looking at even have spots. I'm interviewing them all and we will try to interview some in home tol

So my daughter is a whiner lol she cries if I am not holding her or if I leave the room. She is a stage 5 clinger LOL Well last night she threw a legit tantrum lol I mean she laid down crying and screaming and we decided to just watch and see what happens. She peeked to see if we were watching and yes we were so continued on complete with rolling all over the floor and then she brought out the big guns and literally started laying there kicking her legs. This was all over me not picking her up. Oh gees if this is 1, I am scared for 2 lol

Well I am shit mom. As stated above my daughter has been so clingy lately and crying a lot....I brought her to doc, the poor kid has a double ear infection and 4 molars coming in WTF no wonder she is crying. Ugh my poor sweet child.

Not a shit mom. DD1 had so many ear infections with 0 symptoms. And at this age when they really do just lose their shit over everything, how can you sort that out from losing her shit because she's sick. We just do our best.
colinsfebmommy, don't feel guilty. Unless I noticed a high fever or the baby acting really lethargic - I would never think there was an ear infection. Sometimes they are just cranky from teething or from being too tired.
L is getting his molars too and it is hell at night. On top of that, DD has HFM. She has been a cranky mess all week and then developed a rash. I just hope L doesn't get it.

Not a shit mom. If she had no symptoms, you wouldn't know about the ear infection. And molars suck.
DD has one that has broken through, but isn't up all the way yet. She went from 2 teeth until 13 mo and then 5 broken through in a month and a half.

My guy keeps puking. He has a bit of a cough, and I think the cough just triggers the gag reflex sometimes. He seems fine otherwise...appetite, energy etc.

Ugh, I have to go to a service center to get my license and Medicare card done. I just hate going there. And I'll have dd2 with me who's cutting molars. Maybe if she screams her face off while we wait they'll see me faster? Might work.

we're here too. F puked ALL over last night - today, DH reports he is doing just fine.

Daycare interviews have f'd with her naps so I've literally been sitting in my car with her asleep for almost an he and a half until the next one
Any good prospects ldub?
There is one center that I liked, further from home and more $, but I really got a good feeling. We are going to check out at least one more in home place. I'm torn because I feel like the centers are more focused on teaching but in home is so much cheaper!!

I feel like when they are really little, the in-home can be nice. I like that there are fewer kids for my little guy and he is the only one under 2 in the day home he is in. But when they get to be a bit older, they benefit more from the structured learning activities.

The in home I interviewed can have up to 8, which I don't really like. The big reason I like the one center is because they have a 4:1 ratio and only 1 teacher, so very small class size. It made such a difference.

Ya. And at this age, having them focus on 7 other kids is a huge thing too... is the price hugely different? I mean, if it's still affordable it'd be worth it in my mind. But that's just me...

It would be about $90 more a week. I'm hoping that the other in home we will see tomorrow will be a good balance of both the small group size and price reduction!! Otherwise it's worth the money to me.

They can have up to 8 and it is just one person? How many babies can they have?
Where I live, they can have 6 but only two under two. My day-home only has five and my LO is actually the only one under two. So I'm pretty happy with those numbers.

I'm sure it's something to do with the licensing and a certain # being older kids. I don't know, she just told me that is what she can have and most days she has around 6. We are interviewing another in home Monday.
