Still pregnant hormones and not so light hearted: reading sympathy pet loss cards trying to pick one out for my neighbor. And explaining to Indiana that she wouldn't be seeing K anymore like she was person who would understand what I was saying ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Uhm, everything? Seriously I feel like I could look at a glass of water and bawl my eyes out.
DD is handling the adjustment like a champ so far, but it's killing me.
I just told my mom that they should make a shot of some sort that will stimulate these feelings for men for just a few hours - guaranteed there would be a better solution than to just wait it out!

Ok, I know this is supposed to be lighthearted, but when do the hormones level out? I have no experience with what is "normal" because last time I had severe ppd/ppa. I can tell my meds are definitely working (so far) and keep that horribleness away. I spoke with my psychiatrist (yeah I have one of those now due to my last PP experience, which just feels weird to say) and she did say it should come and go throughout the day, etc. So that basically explains my roller coaster, but mine is more anxiety then feeling pretty good...repeat the cycle all dahS. Not too much sappy stuff for me. Except for DS. I just keep looking at him and I'm dying to pick his 31lb butt up and snuggle. That one makes me cry. Ha!
I'm curious, did any of you do placenta encapsulation? Supposedly it makes these hormones not nearly as drastic? Seems very crunchy and "out there" to me, but if it helps me not live through this thread it might be worth it.

No personal experience. But I have a very dear friend who, having never dealt with emotional health issues (OMG, i'm so sorry if that's not the right wording to use), suffered from a very deep depression during her pregnancy. She DID have her placenta encapsulated, and she did NOT have PPD or PPA.
There are no studies that can prove that placenta encapsulation is what keeps the blues away. But if it can't hurt, I say why not?
