I'm on my way to work. It's gone from super slow to insanity as we finally got direction yesterday and now have to have some things finalized by tomorrow. My portion is small, though, so I'll be around!

I'm sure I'll go to make dinner and be missing an ingredient so I probably should take a full inventory around lunch time so I can go to the store if need be.
Alternative fact: I just love waking up with DS2's head so low in my crotch that he's cutting off circulation to the left side. It's the best feeling ever to wake up to.

So last night I was binging on YouTube videos with pregnancy tips. I oiled up my stomach, because I have a ton of argan oil that I don't use. Another tip was to EVOO up your vagina. Does anyone else do this? Did their midwife recommend perineal massage?
@wineandcupcakes - No thyroid knowledge here, but if your doctor who manages your thyroid issue is happy and your OB is happy, I wouldn't stress too much. Of course you can ask them about it if you'd like. I assume they would be happy to help.

No to the EVOO and no to massage. My tear was completely internal and only 2nd degree...
I did do red raspberry leaf tea and EPO (orally) as I got closer to my EDD. RRL to ripen and prep the uterus, EPO to help with softening the cervix (I know some who did it vaginally). I think that was the correct reasonings I was given for those.
Moisturizing the stomach and other areas (boobs, thighs, where the leg meets the upper body, too) can help with stretch marks but you may still have them pop up as genetics come into play. I really like the palmer's tummy cocoa butter (the tub stuff, not the tube) for helping with reducing their appearance and moisturizing. Not sure how well argon oil works as I've never tried it.
My RI has been testing my thyroid throughout pregnancy (I had a thyroid scan and antibody screening. They were testing it every week or two until I was stable, then monthly.
On 12/13 my TSH was 1.7 (normal T3/T4) On 1/17 my TSH was 3.74 (normal T3/T4)
Can this hurt the babies? I know it's not crazy high but I get so stressed so easily these days. Also, there have been so many nights that I was up eating late and would wake up 4 hours later, take the dogs out and take my levothyroxine and go back to sleep...I'm wondering if I had a full stomach from eating so late and decreased digestion due to sleep and pregnancy which defeated the effectiveness of the meds.
Now I'm freaking out.
You should be good. Mine is 1.5 but I'm medicated. Most doctors won't treat anything below 5.5 TSH especially if your T3 and T4 are normal. No worries. Let me look on my chart and I can post the range my doctor wants time to stay in for third tri.

Ok my chart says below 3.5 is my third tri goal. But your TSH can GREATLY fluctuate thru the day so I think if that is borderline high but your T3/T4 are normal then they don't worry about it. I forget to take my synthroid all the time. I think iron and calcium are what interferes with absorption so maybe try to stay away from those with your late night snacks :-)
@wineandcupcakes your thyroid levels can vary in pregnancy. Normally, they like TSH to below 5, but I think it's preferred to be below 3 in pregnancy. Did they ask you to do a rescreen? The babies will be tested at birth during their heel prick screening.
Are you on synthroid or the generic? DH's doctor had him on the name brand stuff until he was stable and for a few months following before going to generic due to the variability of the generic dosage.
As a side note, I would push for them to be tested again at a year. DS1's hypothyroidism wasn't found until after the one year mark. He was tested at 13 months due to the fact that he was still toothless..

DH's instructions are to avoid iron and calcium within 4 hours of before or after taking it.
We have the same instructions for DS1 but toddlers...
Granted, DH is on 125 mcg/mg (i forget what the standard units are for that one, forgive me) and DS1 is only on 25..

hpnegirl I have stretch marks from gaining and losing weight so I could careless about those. I even have them on my shoulders because I grew fast as a child/teen. I will probably continue at night with the argan oil though because it did help my itching of my belly.

That's exactly what I usually had - 2 Greek yogurts! I'm also medicated (75mcg levothyroxine) and so I'm afraid that the 4 hours of sleep + decreased digestion due to sleep and pregnancy + calcium intake is what screwed me up and now I'm so very angry at myself. I'm so afraid I hurt the babies.
Yeah I'd try cutting back on iron and calcium close to your meds time. You might just not be absorbing it well. The babies will be fine 😊. I think you're close enough to goal that all will be well.

Yes they called in a new dose....which is 25mcg less than my current dose. Ugh. So I had to deal with that. And they want me re-screened next week and then I'll go in to be screened the following week and then it's my c/s. Now I want to see how it will be managed post pregnancy as I was never on these meds prior to ttc.
Also my endo wants me to stop synthroid cold turkey post delivery. Re test 6 weeks after delivery and then decide if I need a new dose or no synthroid at all since I was only just barely above the 5.5 threshold before getting pregnant.

I had tons of stretch marks from my dd 6/7 years ago. My tummy looked like a battlefield. I did do use all the lotions, but I was really bad about drinking water. Who knows. They lightened up and you can't see them unless I am tan (but I always wear sunscreen at the beach, so my tummy doesn't get tan). I am going to use belly creams and keep my water intake up. Hopefully it helps. My sister walked away with 3 pregnancys and no stretch marks.

Weird that they would lower it!
This has been our road with thyroid monitoring to give you an idea, two different experiences for us...
For DH his TSH was over 200 when they caught it (he has Hashimoto's). We don't know the true number as he spiked the top of the chart for the lab...
Late November 2014: TSH was above 200. Prescribed 75mcg generic synthroid. Told to go to PCP. Sees PCP a week later and gets new labs.
Mid December 2014: TSH was above 150 (new lab who's limit was 150). Dose upped to 88mcg and changed to name brand for consistency. Blood test a month later
Late January 2015: TSH was around 75. Dosage moved to 100mcg, blood test a month later
Late February/early March: TSH at 25. Dosage changed to 112mcg, blood test in 6 weeks
May 2015: TSH at 12. Dosage changed to 125mcg. Blood test in 6 weeks
July 2015: TSH below 7, retest in 6 weeks, no change to dosage.
After that test, he was given a 6 month prescription. He's been level since. He gets draws every 6 months. He was finally moved back to generic synthroid in April-ish since his levels have been consistent. He's due for a new draw soon, but I forget when.
DS1 DS1's TSH was just over 7 when they tested him in late Feb 2016. We received a referral to a pedi endo and saw her for the first time in late April 2016. She had his blood drawn then.
I received a call two weeks later that he needed a repeat draw two weeks after that (so total of 4 weeks between draws).
A week after that second draw, I got a call he was being put on 25mcg generic synthroid and to schedule a follow up three months from his first app.
He had his follow up in August with another blood draw. I don't know his numbers but they didn't change his dosage and we go back in two weeks for a follow up and redraw. He'll be monitored every 4ish months, complete with T3/T4 monitoring due to DH.
At 3 years, we will wean him off for a few months (he's a candidate to see if he'll go into remission) and see if his thyroid will start functioning normally. If not, he's on meds for life and monitoring every 4-6 months. If so, he gets yearly monitoring until adulthood

I too have stretch marks on my hips from yo-yo weight. So I don't really curr. But so far I have no new ones. I have been using cocoa butter religious so maybe I'll get lucky.

My understanding is that the biggest risk is in the first trimester before babies start producing their own TSH.
My TSH is around 3.6, with normal T4 and T4antibodies are whichever way they no longer treat. This pregnancy I'm not on meds, last time I was but I was with a different care provider.
Given that your levels aren't exceptionally high, you're in 3rd tri, and you're being monitored I think babies are probably fine. As others have said TSH can fluctuate but maybe don't have yogurt as your midnight snack in order to help absorption. Or have it every night so that your dosage will take that into account (ie when they test your TSH and adjust it will be with that constant).
Post pregnancy I kinda went off the meds on my own because morning stopped having much meaning so I'm not much help there

Yeah no new ones here either. But I also just started to pop but my skin hasn't been stretched just moved around a bit.

H is an asshole and doesn't feel the need to clear our driveway. I have 2 friends coming over tonight and I do not want them falling. I really shouldn't be shoveling but I have a feeling I will have to.

We're having a weird winter. It was super warm over the weekend (like high 50s). Now it's cold and rainy. But I looked out the back window and realized my tulips are starting to sprout. We have apparently fooled Mother Nature.

Yeah we had a warm week and Monday & Tuesday had freezing rain/sleet/snow. I made it home okay both days but our driveway has about 2 inches of slush.
