I'm exhausted. DS2 went to bed about 7:30 and then was up at 11. H went in to feed him, he was coughing something terrible, puked his bottle everywhere, and then H had to tap out because he was getting frustrated. I went in at 11:30, more suction, breathing treatment, and some CPT, and he finally settled. Of course then he was hungry, because the entire contents of his stomach were on the floor and all over H. So I fed him. Finally crawled back into bed around 1. H's alarm went off at 5:20 and DS was ready to eat again.
Both boys are at daycare today. Whether that was a good idea or not, I don't know. I can't keep 2.0 home forever, while paying out the A for a daycare spot. I called and work doesn't need me (though they said they would call if there was an emergent case), so I'm frustrated about that, and I'm annoyed with my H that he couldn't handle DS2 last night. Laundry and dirty house be damned, I'm taking a nap...before daycare calls that DS is coughing and yaking and tells me I need to come get him.
Lack of sleep is really messing with me. I want to move baby into his own room, but he's still sick. I just can't keep getting up to put the pacifier back in his mouth. He falls asleep just fine on his own, but that's where the magic ends. It's funny, DS1 couldn't fall asleep for sh-- but could stay asleep great.
Okay, I need more caffeine and less of my own ranting. On a fun note, I started reading Hillbilly Elegy. It is great so far.

So tired. DS was so restless last night. On top of being up every two hours like always he'd take 15-20 minutes to settle back down. My throat hurts and we're all really snotty. Nooooooo.
We have someone coming to fix our couch today (leather couch has a rip in the seat from the dog and DD using it like a trampoline) still cheaper than buying a new one.
Probably won't be leaving the house. Hope DD wants to nap with us this afternoon.
Ooh question for everyone: how often do you put baby in outfits during the day vs sleepers/footsie pj things?
Eh, it's about 50/50. I generally put baby in outfits on the weekend and days during the week that grandparents are picking him up from daycare. They think he's cuter in "big boy" clothes. But most weekdays I just put him in a sleeper. I put a new one on in the morning and will leave him in the same one under his swaddle for bed if it is still clean.

Hugs to all with sick babies and no sleep. Winter needs to end yesterday.
iwantbacon, I tend to only dress G if we're going somewhere. Otherwise, it's sleepers all the time. MH dresses G every day though.
The right side of my throat hurts. It's been like that off and on for the last few weeks. I thought it was from the cold I had, but now I'm not so sure. I ended up having to schedule an appointment with my PCP to get my Zoloft refilled, so I'll have her look if it's still bothering me.
G slept until 6, and N did not get up until close to 7. N did not nap yesterday, and MH and I are afraid that naps may be done with him. I guess making it to 4.5 with naps is a good run, right?

DD barfed on me twice last night. Most of it was mucus-filled so I think she is just clearing out rather than having a bug or anything else. She did well this morning and didn't have issues with her bottle, so hopefully it doesn't get worse. I can't really afford to take a sick day after only being back at work for 2.5 weeks. But then again, it is what it is.

O has been coughing up mucus all week. I've still been sending her to daycare because I'm pretty certain it's just a cold. No fever.

Couch repair guy was supposed to be here at 9. It's almost 10. Why can't service people be on time! DH booked it so I don't even have the number. He's busy at work and said he'll call at 10.
I hate negotiating on BST sites. When I give you my lowest price don't come back with a price that's $50 less! Especially when I then need to ship it across the continent which will cost me a small fortune.
iwantbacon usually sleepers. Maybe outfits two days a week. For whatever reason, I'll feel obligated to put on outfits for daycare when he starts next week.
Of course the school nurse called me at 9:30am to tell me DD1 wasn't feeling well - she has a headache. So, I told DD1 to drink some water and eat her snack and wait it out a while and if she still isn't feeling well, to call me. Not even an hour later, the school nurse called me again to tell me she still wasn't feeling well and that she hadn't gone back to class. DH had a meeting from 11-12, so he couldn't pick her up, so I had to. I picked her up then drove to my parents' house to pick DS up, and then we stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things. DD1 seems totally fine to me, but she's not one to lie about not feeling well. I feel bad being annoyed, but today was a terrible day for me to have to leave work early for a kid with a headache that "comes and goes" and no fever. I really hope the headache isn't a precursor to something worse, though.
iwantbacon- I have been putting DS in regular clothes during the day and sleepers at night, for the most part. Sometimes on the weekends I'll just leave him in a sleeper if I know we're not going anywhere, but we have so many clothes in his current size that I want him to wear them before he grows out of them, which is going to be soon.

Well maybe if maternity leave was afforded to us, we could keep our sick kids home and use sick leave! And maybe if sick leave was federally mandated for all workers, we could have less illness floating around.
I kept baby in sleepers all of maternity leave unless we were going somewhere. I would send him to daycare in sleepers because I think it's easier for the workers than chasing baby socks but he has mostly fleece and I think that's hot for daytime. Plus as he gets closer to crawling or sitting up, I don't want clothes to hinder him.

I more or less dress her everyday because we have a ton of clothes for her and I baby wear, so sleepers aren't conducive for that except right when she sizes up.
Went to a sale at one of the crunch mom stores this morning. I got a ton of crap for $60 including the A&A serenity star, a muslin bundleme for the spring and cloth-diaper safe butt cream!
