loves2shop4shoes the only time I had any bloody mucous was the day my doctor stripped my membranes. And I went into labor 36-48 hours labor. This pregnancy I've been losing my mucous plug in pieces over the last week. No blood in it at all. Hopefully you'll kick in soon!!

flyinghorses6 and loves2shop4shoes good luck! I hope these babies come soon. I can't believe I'm 39 weeks today. We have plans to go to church and then drive an hour to go see my mom in the hospital. She was admitted over a week ago for an infection from her surgery. She was hoping to be discharged Friday or Saturday but then they found her stomach to be inflamed so they're trying different meds to see if that helps. Thankfully, DH is driving just in case I go into labor.
oldbaylover1024 I hope your contractions ease up soon. The cinnamon rolls sound divine. I need to get motivated to make something before we leave.
I keep running to this thread to see if anyone is having a baby!
Last night we went out for my birthday dinner and it was actually really fun. I'm just in a funk worrying about the baby after everything that happened last week. I'm not uncomfortable, just have this feeling that baby would be safer on the outside. I'm trying to relax a bit with Henry this morning and am just letting him watch cartoons. He was signing for more Elmo but we are watching Arthur since that's what I want to watch. What a nice mom!
@winegirl9 I hope they pass! If you haven't done it yet, use that time to shower or sleep or do anything you can't do while taking care of two babies!
loves2shop4shoes I lost my mucus plug last Monday night and nothing... just more pink discharge all week. Though I think you are further along than me and I'm not sure I would have lost mine if I hadn't been so sick. Hopefully it means something for you!
I'm over here sweating at the thought of this baby coming any sooner than 40 weeks. My mom, who is supposed to be watching DS for us when I'm in labor, is traveling about 16 hours away this week.... her estranged dad is dying and she needs closure. I totally support her going, but I need her here when this baby comes. So if things go according to plan, she'll be back in time to turn around and get here (we are 4 hours from my parents). I do not envy my mother's situation, I'm hoping she get what she needs out of her trip.
Other than that, hopefully this is a normal Sunday. We might try to go get a chest freezer today, it's the last thing on the list before baby. DH is adamant no breastmilk goes in the kitchen freezer. He was a trooper last time, so I will do what I can to not fill our freezer up. Also it is currently occupied by popsicles, ice cream, eggos and other pregnancy craving foods, sorry DH.
loves2shop4shoes, in my last pregnancy, I went into labor about 2 weeks after my bloody show made an appearance. I know this is not the news you want to hear. :/
for some people it means imminent labor and for some it means nothing, so it's hard to say what will happen. The mucus plug can regenerate :/ I hope yours means that you will be holding a baby soon

loves2shop4shoes I never had my bloody show, FWIW. Unfortunately I think you can just never tell. I never had any indication that things were imminent when my water broke. I was certain I had weeks left. That said, I holler your time is soon!

Sounds like everyone is busy today! We grocery shopped - I'm hoping it's the last big trip we make for a little while. I stocked up on stuff for guests, too. You know, stuff that anyone can make for my preschooler LOL
Also was hoping to get things going with baby. Ugh. Wishful thinking. I have a feeling I'll be here until the 10th, which is alright. Plans are made and I know I shouldn't be so eager. Sigh... Patience - I need some

Is anyone else's toddler like EXTRA needy these days? Like, they know something is about to happen and change their life? Maybe he's just getting 2y molars or something else explainable, but I can't help but think that his extra clinginess and fussing is because there is another baby impending.

Yeah, unfortunately this. With my first I had no bloody show at all. My second was the day I had my first membrane sweep and she was born the next day. This time I've been dropping huge chunks of mucous plug for 3 weeks and had my first bloody show like a week and a half ago, went to bed hopeful, then nothing. It's not a super reliable sign sadly, but hopefully it's a good sign for you!
We're off to do some more home reno shopping this morning then home to clean up. I want to wash walls so DH can start painting the main level. Maybe that will jog some baby progress.
DD1 has been having "bad dreams" she says. Not sure if it's her response to the upcoming change, though she's thoroughly excited for a baby in the house. Anyway, I told her we could make a dream catcher today and I want to buy some Lavender EO to make a calming room spray for her. Maybe subconsciously some of these things will help her relax.

Everybody in my house is all over me!! My dogs are my shadows, DD1 is needy and crying over the smallest things (but that might be her being tired for lack of sleep because of her bad dreams I mentioned above). DD2 who is such a daddy's girl, wants nothing to do with DH. Only I am good enough now. And my cats won't stop hovering. This was my male cat all last night. Laying on me and petting my face.

Yes cosmicav I was just saying to DH that she must have a feeling something is about to happen. Super clingy, super needy, not communicating her needs well and throwing fits. I'm trying to be extra loving and patient. I just wish she communicated a little more/better so I could figure out exactly how to help her. Also holding her breaks my body in half, and that's all she seems to want these days.
loves2shop4shoes, I think it was 48 hours from first blood to labor starting? I had one day of brown spotting, one day of pink spotting, then labor, if I remember right.

OMG, YES! So much so that I asked about it in a mom's group last week. My independent daddy loving toddler has become a mommy velcro and while I like the snuggles... kid, go play with toys!

I have a baby shower this afternoon. Not mine, mind you. A friend of mine who is due a week after me. No one thought to do a sprinkle for me, or any kind of recognition. I'm really trying not to be frustrated, but I was pretty upset for the afternoon when I got the invite. It is her first kid, and my second. So I need to shove the attitude and celebrate with her.
I haven't seen this friend in a while... but heard from her FIL (who is our pastor) that she is quite large and has gained quite a bit of weight. I'm over here measuring small and slender, still. I hope no one take it upon themselves to compare us, but I know it's gonna happen.

+1 to a clingy toddler. He's started saying "momma come back" when I leave. It about broke my heart this morning. On the plus side though, he's not really one for cuddling and he's been cuddly lately and I love it. Just hoping adding a baby in two(ish) weeks doesn't completely wreck him.

Update: nothing going on over here. Had some more blood tinged mucus this morning, then nothing. Have had some menstrual like cramps intermittently but no contractions.
I doubt anything is going to happen today. I think my baby just likes to punk me. Watch me end up having to get induced...
loves2shop4shoes, my contractions felt more like menstrual cramps and less like actual contractions. Could be early labor! Then again, with DD I had my bloody show weeks before actual labor started...
+1 to the super clingy toddler. It's simultaneously endearing and annoying.

loves2shop4shoes with DS I had contractions all day that I didn't know were labor contractions, bloody show at midnight and 7 hrs later had a baby. So I guess be on the look out! My dog has been ridiculously clingy lately. Not sure if it's bc he's sick or if he knows I'm pregnant. Took him to the vet on Friday and he said "yea I think he has heart disease, possibly a tumor but just watch him for now and here's some antibiotics in case skin issues pop up". My dog is really old, I know the end is near but just not sure when. Loving his snuggles lately tho.

loves2shop4shoes my cramping stopped too I was so hopeful this morning because it was constant. I've had more braxton hicks today than any other day, but all my optimism is gone.
I'm laughing at myself sitting here waiting for labor when I know realistically I could be pregnant for another 2 weeks

My toddler decided that a 10-minute nap on the way home from church was all he needed today. Yikes. Im thinking early bedtime for him, a cup of tea for me, and some sewing to end my night. I did nothing today except crochet a hat for baby girl, and go to church. I keep making doubles of the hats I've made because the newborn size looks so so small. I keep thinking they won't fit her!

I love the E! Red Carpet...if only my toddler would let me sit down and watch it. Any time DH wants to come home would be amazing...solo parenting all weekend, every weekend ughhhh

Mine has started saying "come here mama," or "pick up J?" when I need to leave for work and it is breaking my heart for sure.

MH's stomach is worse; J is super hyper because of the antibiotic, yet still very snotty and irritable; and my snot is now Technicolor and my head is pounding. Seriously?! I have no patience for this BS.
I may go to my OB appointment tomorrow morning then WFH. Maybe the OB will give me a note.
Also dealing with a jerk co-worker. On a Sunday. Via email. Not in the mood, bro.

My sister gave me a baby mobile that she made. I put it carefully in the box so it wouldn't tangle and put the box on a dresser. So cleaning lady and nanny and DH keep moving the box around. Today I go get the mobile to hang it and guess what. All tangled. I might actually have to cut all of the strings and rethread it. I'm irrationally angry at this.
