I don't own a brush, but we wet A's hair with a spray bottle every morning and run our fingers thru it with leave in conditioner or it would be impossible. You should see the bed head this one has.
My H is generally the giver of baths, brusher of teeth and fixer of hair.
ampaints, no i have not seen the movie. i was just telling someone i am behind of those movies. and the marvel ones (is guardians a marvel one?) well you get the drift. like i have only seen ironman 1, not the others. nor have i seen thor, or captain america, etc....
my appointment with the surgeon is tomorrow. cue all types of nervous feelings. i have a lot riding on this, like weight loss relief, hot flashes, hair loss, temper..... i might be slightly scared that the surgery won't help with this stuff even though the doctor thinks it will.
@janetheconquerer it is part of the Marvel universe, but not connected to the other movies yet. If you like action movies they're worth catching up on. Just come spend a weekend at my house, I think we have all of them. Although I still haven't seen the second Thor movie.
Good luck with the surgeon. I hope this will bring the results you hope for!
@janetheconquerer, I'll be thinking of you. Take it one day at a time; tomorrow is the appointment. Focus on that. Don't dwell on what if's now because it's unknown.
The walls are bare, there are piles of old baby clothes littering my room, and a mountain of boxes in the kitchen that took all of 20 seconds for the piranhas to decide to try to climb this morning. Definitely made a good start on Packing Day 1.
Today is the anniversary of DSD's mum's death. It's been five years, and I can't believe it's already been that long. She's going to be at a house party with her friends tonight celebrating the end of semester. I talked to her about it yesterday (I never know whether or not she wants us to acknowledge the day or not bring it up) just to make sure she'll be alright going out, and she said the best thing is big distractions, so partying it is. The difference between her now at 18 and then at 13 is like night and day. I think she's coped really well, which is such a relief.
elvenqueen , so sorry for the anniversary. I can't imagine how hard that is for everyone. I'm glad your dsd will be amongst friends though. You always sound like such a good step mother.
Thanks, I appreciate that. And if I am good stepmum, it's because she's made it easy. She's never been a difficult child by any means, so I'm pretty lucky.
I forgot how yucky that glucose test drink makes me feel. I was worried my body is reacting to it more intensely this time but my H gently reminded me this is exactly how I was complaining last time too. I just have the memory of a goldfish.
She's decided to stay in Narnia for her last semester, as she's graduating in June, so she's kind of sad about it -- she's going to miss the piranhas a lot. Not me and DH as much, haha. I think she's looking forward to enjoying living in town for a few months instead of living out in the woods (short walk to work and school, able to see her friends more often, and vastly superior internet). And she's definitely excited about getting down to Vancouver this summer. It's going to be weird not having her living with us for a few months!
