EDD: 2-15
How many weeks today: 37+5
Appointment plans/results: Checkup on Thursday.
How ya feeling: Something happened to my pelvis on Saturday. I only did a couple of loads of laundry and walked at the store for maybe half an hour. When I got home my pelvic pain got increasingly worse until bed and I literally could not move once I was lying down. DH had to get me out of bed for bathroom trips. The pain was excruciating. I thought of calling the on-call doctor, but wasn't sure what to do. Yesterday I was careful not to walk much or do anything strenuous. This morning I was able to roll myself out of bed and hobble in to work, but I don't know how I'm going to tolerate this for two or three more weeks!
Goals for the week/to do list: Get some picture mounting brackets since apparently none of the frames I bought have them. wth? Also, survive this pain.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? A good cup of coffee with a large breakfast will sometimes help. Also colace every day.

EDD: 2/5
How many weeks today: 39+1
Appointment plans/results: Appointment on Wednesday. Everything is going well.
How ya feeling: I'm feeling good. We didn't get as much done around the house this weekend as I would have hoped but we did get alot of quality family time in as a party of 3. I've got lots to do before the maid comes on Wednesday.
Goals for the week/to do list: Completely put away the laundry and try to keep the toys in check. I also have two bags full of baby stuff I need to go through that was given to us.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Coffee
How ya feeling: SO ready to be done. I've been ready since about 37 weeks, but now that I had the prodromal labor scare and bloody show, I'm SO ready to have this baby. And it's also miserable having to work when it's the last thing I want to do.
Goals for the week/to do list: have the baby, see friend who is visiting from D.C. Tomorrow. Try to pretend like I care at work. Clean the floors on the first floor of our house. Wash the wubbanub.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Purchasing a squatty potty. I swore I never would and I'm so glad I swallowed my pride.
Appointment plans/results: Tomorrow morning for GBS swab and first cervical check.
How ya feeling: My sinus infection is better. Still not quite 100% but I'll take it. Pregnancy wise I feel good other than the belly being big enough to prevent me from being comfortable when trying to lay down. Usual frequent peeing and heartburn but I really can't complain.
Goals for the week/to do list: I blocked off the whole day at work tomorrow to get through my work "nesting". AKA make sure my desk is organized and create all my lists for everyone who will be filling in so they will have zero excuses to bother me while on leave. I want to make a couple more freezer meals this week as well.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? I haven't really tried any remedy's this go around. I do have my colace and miralax ready for after delivery.
Appointment plans/results: Last Tuesday went well. Next appointment is Thursday.
How ya feeling: I overdid it this weekend. My back was KILLING me last night to the point of tears. It's slightly better today and I brought my heating pad into work so hopefully that helps a bit.
Goals for the week/to do list: Finish my thank you cards, pack a few more things in my hospital bag, keep my house clean before my dad and uncle come to finish the nursery, survive...
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Haven't found a good one yet.
How many weeks today: 36w3d (glad I have a phone app to tell me)
Appointment plans/results: u/s, NST, and OB checkup tomorrow. This will be a growth u/s, so I get to see how big they've gotten :-). It may also be a decision-making u/s--induction or c-section? If they're in the same position as last week I'm inclined to call c-section in my own mind at least so I have something to plan for. If bottom baby is head down... I guess I'll just hope she stays that way for another nine days and plan on an induction.
How ya feeling: Beat up. Bad sleep, awful dreams, and a long bout of belly pain last night. I'm tired and achy. I wish I could tell which way the babies are facing so I could tell if the belly pain is related to babies changing position.
Goals for the week/to do list: SO MUCH to do. Dresser delivery on Wednesday, so I can set up our double changing station after that and sort clothes and diapers. Finalize everything at work so I can be gone for a couple of months. Pack hospital stuff for MH, including a new foam pad so he can hopefully sleep better on the hard hospital couch. Schedule a contractor to fix the nursery wall and paint it (and pick paint). Try like hell to get our two empty rental units rented. Other smaller cleaning and organizational tasks.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Best: antibiotics. Favorite: Maybe roasted veggies?

EDD: 2/19
How many weeks today: 37+1 stm
Appointment plans/results: Belly check tomorrow and gbs results. I did my own swab at midwives and worry I'm swabbing wrong. I mean it's pretty straight-forward but if I'm negative I'll still wonder. At least I didn't have to clean up my lady bits for a viewing I guess 🤗
How ya feeling: not bad. I was dead on Friday and Saturday from cleaning and prepping for dd's day party, but I have healed nicely.
Goals for the week/to do list: assemble a diaper cart, hang even ONE decor item in baby's room, talk DH in to assembling stroller, return sound machine we have two of, install car seat bases.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Not really necessary. I've had a few unpleasant bathroom trips but I have coffee every morning, nothing is stopping that train.

sweetieheart32 - I had this happen with DS1. It was pelvic girdle pain and I had to go to a chiropractor every few days to ease the pain. It was awful. I hope you feel better soon!

EDD: 2/12
How many weeks today: 38+1
Appointment plans/results: Thursday, but with the NP, my doctor is out, so no membrane stripping...
How ya feeling: still lovingly over it.
Goals for the week/to do list: I guess I might actually start a hospital bag this week. I feel like I'm going to be induced, so I haven't put any priority on it at all.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? like sweetieheart32, said, coffee with a big breakfast!

EDD: 2/17 (scheduled C-section 2/10)
How many weeks today: 37w3d
Appointment plans/results: Had a regular appointment and NST this morning. Baby passed the NST with flying colors, and my belly is measuring on track for 37w, so that was good. Only one more appointment left!
How ya feeling: Not well. I had painful contractions every 30 minutes from 2 a.m. until about 9 a.m. so I barely slept. Originally, MH wasn't supposed to come to today's appointment, but the contractions had me nervous, so he came along. Doc said their just normal and, since the NST didn't show any and I hadn't felt any since about 9 a.m., she said to just wait it out. So I'm WFH today in my soft pants.
Goals for the week/to do list: Put the PnP together so baby has somewhere to sleep. And pressure MH to put his car seat base in his car (it's been in the box in our hallway for about two weeks). I never packed the hospital bag. I may do that today while I'm home. Or at least get it started.
TMI GTKY: A bowl of Raisin Bran and two cups of black coffee every morning, followed by at least a gallon of water a day. It's about the only thing that'll keep things moving.
PAL May '17 Siggy Challenge: Picnics - Feminist Picnic
Two MM/C 1/09/12 & MM/C 4/26/12 BFP#3 - Rainbow #1 born 5/11/13 via unplanned C-section Two CP 11/23/15 & 5/13/16 BFP#6 - Rainbow #2 born 2/10/17 via planned C-section
Appt Plans/ Results: NST and cervical check today. Hopefully, little lady passes the nst this time and we don't have to make a trip to the hospital. Also hoping to actual get a cervical check and hear whether there's progress or not. Praying for progress.
How Ya Feeling? Comparatively fabulous today vs the migraine hell of the previous 3 days. I'll be so happy when I can take my meds again.
Goals For This Week: Get everything planned for A's 14th (Aaaahhhhh!!!!!) birthday on Friday. Hold baby in until next week so there's no infringing on A's day.
TMI/ GTKY: Coffee and copious amounts of orange juice. Unfortunately, it hasn't always worked and there have been episodes where I feel like I've given birth to my colon. I'm embarrassed for my hemorrhoidal arse.

EDD: 2/7
How many weeks today: 38+6
Appointment plans/results: Thursday for a belly check, cervical check and membrane sweep to try to get labor going if this baby isn't here yet.
How ya feeling: definitely ready to be done. I feel ok after having 2 nights off, but I know how bad work has been making me feel lately so I'm just dreading now until I have the baby. I'm due in a week, and I work 6 more shifts. Like how will I even do that? What was I thinking with this schedule?
Goals for the week/to do list: survive, keep K happy and not just watching tv all day

EDD: 2/24
How many weeks today: 36 +3
Appointment plans/results: I have my gbs swab and blood work on Thursday. Yay. I don't know if they'll check me, but if they offer I'm leaning towards accepting. I'll be almost 37 weeks at that point, and I'm curious.
How ya feeling: Ok. I think I'm getting sciatic pain. I basically can't lift my leg if I've been bending over a lot. And my hemorrhoid or varicose vein is back 😕 It's so sore, and I'm so embarrassed for my appointment on Thursday. I know that's dumb, but oh well. Lol
Goals for the week/to do list: continue knocking things off my list. Biggest things: hospital paperwork, install car seats, wash my nursing pillow covers and other baby things
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Bacon, oatmeal, and vegetables (but not at the same time...)

EDD: 2/25 How many weeks today: 36w 2d Appointment plans/results: Have a check in with my midwife next Tuesday. Curious what I'm measuring at and how things will be. How ya feeling: pretty exhausted. Not sleeping at all. Does anyone have an umbilical hernia? I have a small one right above my belly button from birth with DS and the pain I feel is so awful. I get it when I hold DS, eat too much food or over do it in general. Lying down is the my only remedy. Goals for the week/to do list: I have another event at work on Saturday so I'll be prepping all week for that plus my normal work. Makes it hard to accomplish baby things so I'll focus on that next week. TMI GTKY: coffee has no effect for me. And I haven't found a good consistent remedy. But I do find if I have a big fast food meal, I completely clear out the next day. Maybe that's an excuse to get some CFA soon.

Post by sweetieheart32 on 7 hours ago EDD: 2/22
How many weeks today: 36+5
Appointment plans/results: Appointment on Wed, and then every week until baby comes. Everything is looking pretty normal and routine at this point so not a whole lot to report.
How ya feeling: Crummy.
Goals for the week/to do list: NOT go into labor yet, work on repairing some cloth diapers, finish moving furniture in our room, grocery shop.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? I actually have been having the opposite problem... So I'm no help there.
Post by littleredfish on Jan 30, 2017 15:52:07 GMT -5
No joke sweetieheart32, we are one person. Your post is my post basically. Same EDD 2-15, same appointment date on Thursday and same pelvic pain.
The baby dropped and the first day was glorious but now I alternate between good days and worse than ever before days. My sciatic nerve is now getting involved and a few days ago I could not walk by the end of the day. Sometimes I'm in tears just rolling over in bed. It's all on my left side like that whole hip socket is full of rocks and glass. Then days like yesterday where I washed walls and was totally fine (well, read fine as normal for being super pregnant). Then I got too confident and was sitting on the floor with my kids and could not get up without help and crying.
GTKY: my constipation was so bad the only thing that REALLY helped was the baby literally dropping into a position where I wasn't blocked off. My iron supplements were not helping either so I've stopped those and my midwife suggested liquid iron which apparently doesn't have the same side effect. Pears were a good trick though. Somebody mentioned it on here instead of juice to just eat Pears. I bought a whole bag of Pears and ate 1-2 a day with 1 colace pill at night and it got me back to regular 1 BM a day.

EDD: 2/27
How many weeks today: 36 + 0
Appointment plans/results: I had an appointment today to follow up on my elevated BP from Thursday's appointment. BP was still high so I'm at labor and delivery for labs and a nst.
How ya feeling: Feel good. I was exhausted last night because I spent all day digging out baby stuff and going through baby's clothes, etc.
Goals for the week/to do list: Will my BP down so the docs stop worrying and stop talking about inducing early.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Hasn't been a huge enough issue to do anything special.
Appointment plans/results: Next appt on Wednesday, and it will be my LAST butt shot!! We made it!!
How ya feeling: Like I've aged 30 years in the span of a few months. Pelvic bone continues to be hell, heartburn constantly, tired 24/7, all my joints are dying, I'm peeing constantly...all the good stuff. BUT!!!! I am OFFICIALLY the most pregnant I have ever been! I'm so excited that I might make it to full term this time the excitement of that is able to override the suck that is this final stretch.
Goals for the week/to do list: Breast pump needs to arrive, finish work stuff.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? Colace x 2 and juice
Appointment plans/results: Belly checks on Fridays. I'm GBS negative, which is a relief. But I've already gained almost the upper limit of my target weight gain, with no signs of stopping.
How ya feeling: It varies a lot from day to day. But in general: exhausted, heartburn, gassy, cramps/contractions and back pain. All the typical stuff.
Goals for the week/to do list: So much! My biggest goal is to handle my maternity leave paperwork with my doctor. Second biggest is organize baby's stuff in the nursery. There's piles of baby stuff everywhere. Other than that try to stay active and take care of my health.
TMI GTKY: What has been your best/favorite constipation remedy? I've had consistent and terrible diarrhea and cramps for weeks now. It gets worse after coffee.
