I'm going to hit my dietbet goal so my Monday is actually off to a good start. Except that C is sick. I'm (aka my mom who is a nurse) is thinking fifths disease because she has the red cheeks. Paging pghtruelove because I think J has had it before? Any tips on making her more comfortable? She's so pitiful:(
mrsmonogrammed, poor C, hope she feels better. I don't know what her other symptoms are, but last week when W had RSV, his cheeks were super red while he had a fever. Either way, hope she's back to normal soon!
As for us, my morning was off to a pretty crap-tastic start. DS was NOT happy when I told him that he had to go to school today. Or when I told him it's just not possible for mommy to hold him every second of the morning while I'm trying to get us out the door. Or when I made him a waffle, after he requested one. Oi. Anyone else's kid super clingy lately? I thought it was from being sick, but even though he's back to being healthy, the clingy-ness has remained. Hoping things go up from here.
Another late night with J, I think he finally fell asleep around 10:15. Thankfully when he woke up at 6 I was able to convince him to fall back asleep in our bed until 7:30. I am thinking about maybe a light projector or something for his room? He freaked out and was almost hyperventilating when I shut his door last night, which is kind of new.
mrsmonogrammed, LO has had fifth disease before but it wasn't too bad and he didn't seem bothered by it too much. I hope it passes and C starts feeling better soon.
DD was puking last night and H was sick too; I was able to convince both of them to stay home today. LO and I still feel fine so I am hoping it is just something they ate and we won't catch it.
A little bit of a snowy day here but nothing to get too excited about. I've been enjoying the mild winter.
Boo, sucks coming back to work after an awesome weekend.
Trying out a spin class with a coworker today though so I'm looking forward to that. Oh and we got a notification that the new couch we ordered like 2 weeks ago is ready to be delivered; the estimated lead time was like 4-6 weeks so we're excited to get it sooner. And I'm changing my 9/80 work schedule effective this week so I have Friday off again. Much needed since my sister's baby shower in on Saturday and we are making masquerade mask style cookie favors that are probably going to take all day.

Thanks ladies! Widget123 that sounds like DD- she's been eating fine and acting normal, just a little more cuddly with longer naps and a runny nose. I've been on top of Tylenol/Motrin for her fever (100.1 yesterday morning) so hopefully it continues this way!
jillywilly were there any other symptoms for W's RSV? I was planning on letting LO work her way though the virus unless she seemed like she was really not feeling well, but I don't want to mess around with RSV!
I don't want to get annoying with my purge pictures, but I know a few of us are working on it right now and I'm just feeling super good about it after this weekend!
Because we took the old hand me down from MIL dresser out of out bedroom (and let me tell you that few extra square feet feels like a TON in there!)
Moved it into our mud room giving us some much needed winter accessory storage (it used to all be squished in that black bench, meaning squished and laying all around and on top of it)
And cleaning out the bench that was in there gave us the perfect storage spot every good Canadian needs!
Wahoo! I'm waiting for one storage unit to come in the mail hopefully today or tomorrow and we can finish our bedroom!

Happy Monday y'all!
It was a busy weekend, but the first time in weeks I didn't have to work! Which was so nice. Baseball season officially started Saturday, so LBB has practice this afternoon. I'm looking forward to that. I am not looking forward to the conversation I have to have with BH's DCP this afternoon about moving him though.
My first two classes were cancelled for today so I have planning until 1:20!!! So, I'm here instead of doing the planning I intend to do. I'll still get it done.
Meeting my mom and O for dinner since H is OOT. At least it's a short trip. I don't know how you do this on the reg, sugarkissed.
Oh! I got a pair of pajamas for FREE today from Carter's. They have free shipping on any order and PJs are 50% off. So I went to look since O has outgrown almost all of his warm fleece stuff and winter is still a couple months longer. They had a pair for $10, I had $10 in rewards, and free shipping=free!!!

tiffbot those small changes make a huge difference! We are contemplating going under contract for a new home build and I already told DH i want to start the Konmari because i don't want to move all this stuff.

She just wanted to sleep all the time. When she was awake I would give her Luke warm baths, since she likes the bath, to help with her fever. Once the body rash kicked in she was really itchy so Benadryl was our best friend.

mrsmonogrammed, sorry, I totally didn't mean to alarm you that she has RSV! I think his cheeks were rosy because of his fever - it got to about 101/102 at the peak of it. The only reason I took him to the pediatrician last week was because day care had told us there was an RSV case in his class, so I wanted to make sure he got checked out. Luckily he seemed to have a relatively mild case, he never really had any problems breathing, which his doctor told us was the main thing. Otherwise, it was pretty much just like any other virus - fever, cranky, runny nose, and a fairly nasty cough. He had a little wheezing going on too, which was the main difference between that and a "normal" virus.
I'm here! After thinking TCF was down, I realized that I was trying to log in with my work email....oops!
I totally thought I was dying on Friday...food poisoning sucks! Woke up feeling 95% better on Saturday.
DH is *I think* accepting a new job today for a pilot position. This opportunity sounds like a good fit for us and he seems very excited about it. I'm not so excited about him being going on 2-3 day trips, but it sounds like he'll be home more often, in general, than his job now. You guys will have to keep me same while he's gone for training for two weeks.
I'm leaving work in an hour to head over to M's IFSP meeting. FX they give him twice a week of speech, although I'm sure they'll only approve once a week.
DH is taking MIL to a specialist dermatologist who could hopefully provide some sort of treatment plan for her autoimmune issues. The poor woman hasn't been able to eat any fruits/vegetables or spicy food in 5 months.

jessila Honestly, DH is gone so often than when he's home now I feel like he's in the way. Haha. I love it when he's back, don't get me wrong... But you get used to them being away. I still hate it though!
tiffbot Amazing job purging! We just moved in so our stuff is all in boxes but my plan is to purge over the next few months. We couldn't do it while moving because most of it was DH's and he wasn't around to pack.

mrsmonogrammed we just got over RSV here too. It started out as what seemed like a cold. Runny nose, sneezing, a small cough and hard time sleeping. She never really got a fever but I was also giving her ibuprofen because all 4 eye teeth were coming in so maybe that helped unknowingly with the that. I had a cold too and it just seemed to be lingering with her and her cough got worse, just sounded deep in her chest and she had that wet cough. We had to do a nebulizer treatment in the office and then an inhaler with the mask 2-3 times a day at home for a week. She had an antibiotic as well because of the deep wheezing. She's all good now though.
jillywilly J has been randomly clingy too. And is all about mama only... except now all of a sudden she wants to live with my parents. She's there one day a week and recently a lot of time on weekends. I had to carry her out kicking and squirming yesterday while she made grabby hands and sad begging sounds towards my mom, my dad, and then a last ditch effort to my sister who was holding the door for me. Apparently they are more fun. Which is probably true, DH and I are neck deep in new house painting and packing boxes and associated craziness. Still, I want to go back to the days where she runs into my arms when I go to pick her up... sigh.
