Yesterday was our first solo day without my parents and it went fine. N refused to go to bed until midnight which is a little rough for me. I'm feeding her right now and then hoping we can get another two or three hours.
No plans today outside the house. I need to finalize my photo selections so we can get the digital images. Two of my best friends are coming over after dinner.
And N is two weeks today so I'd like to get some semi posed photos!

biscotto, remind me how you ended up in Europe? Did you meet you H in Europe, or in the US and move to Europe for him? Why are you leaving Switzerland? Is H from there? Why Italian citizenship? Why US? Do you have dual citizenship?
We just put L in his first fluff. OMG I forgot how ridiculous cloth diapers look on tiny newborn butts.
Soo cute! What kind? I'm waiting til I can do stairs to start because MH doesn't want to wash them yet (I don't blame him!). We are putting the girls in matching diapers today though for the newborn shoot!
@orangcrush we are using prefolds and covers right now osocozy and thirsties duo wrap size 1. Gahhhh the matching diapers sound so cute! Thankfully H has owned diapering for the most part since our first, so I mostly get out of laundry

or feel free to ignore my creepy questions ;-)
No problem :-)
I came to Switzerland as an au-pair almost 9 years ago! H is from Naples, Italy. We met here. He came for his job, but he has since lost his job and we're moving to Naples for his and my new job and to be closer to family, as much as his parents drive me crazy, I will be thankful to have someone to babysit the kids sometimes! The weather is a million times better than here, the cost of living is dramatically less, and we own a home there.
So DS and DD are Italian because their father is Italian, they're American from me. I am from the Midwest. I don't have dual citizenship, but I've applied for Italian. I would have Swiss citizenship if we lived here a few more years.

DS1 is being adorable and sitting next to W with his iPad and they're watching Octonauts. DS1 is also obsessing over W's feet right now. I'll have to make sure he doesn't actually bite them.

DS dumped N's blanket on her head while she was sleeping yesterday. Thankfully it was the crochet one my mom made so not really a suffocation hazard but it did make me realize we have to supervise more carefully

DS1 was given some skinny jeans and just had a mini meltdown because he needed to pee and insists that pants have to come all the way off and he couldn't get them off his feet.
Who here swaddles? Arms in or arms out? I swaddled DS the first couple days but after like a week, he hated it. I've been swaddling him arms out with a fleece Halo swaddle, but it just seems so hot. I put him in a lighter sleep sack for tonight, hopefully he gives us his normal 4sh hour stretches. I don't really see the difference in arms out swaddles and sleep sacks?

biscotto, swaddle arms out using a Halo sleep sack as well. I do the same thing as @joybaby5: cotton sleeper w/ fleece sleep sack or fleece sleeper w/ cotton.

We so arms out in the sleep sack. I also just put her in a long sleeve onesie at night.

We survived our first outing alone together. It was hailing on our way. Eye doctor went well. Her eyes look great. Also spoke with her pedi tomorrow picking up a prescription for Zantac hopefully this helps.
Lol lakegirl. I made so many hospital purchases too. I was like, welp, I'm gonna get home in 2 days...might as we prime some stuff so it's waiting for me!
I put B in his first cloth diaper. Total lolz at how big his fluff butt is.
This made me laugh, and then my incision hurt and it reminded me why I can't read funny things.
We are surviving our first day home ok. I had a moment of feeling overwhelmed because she's not taking the nipple shield like she did this morning when the LC showed me how, but aside from that going ok. My mom came over so I could shower, H went food shopping and to pick up my prescriptions and some nipple cream that my MWs make. I'm relieved that my milk is coming in, and it seems to be helping C with her sucking over vigorously. I am able to get a little bit in the bottle when pumping and even that is much better in just the last 24 hours.

DS1 has only been consistently potty trained for like 10 days. We've been keeping him in sweatpants.
It's a bit sad because he has cute jeans he isn't wearing anymore.
He also insists on taking his pants totally off. Usually socks too
