Also, I know lots of people have two small children and they are probably way more capable than me to do so. But sometimes I just want to be like "this shit is hard, it's Tuesday, please have pity on me."
I believe there might be people who look like they are more capable or have it more together, but I think we're all on this crazy ride together. So many situations come up in parenting with no "right" answer.

theophania - The anger and anxiety I've been feeling over current events is doing a number on me. I keep trying to push it away but I'm also glued to the news.

Same. I need to step away from the news, but so much is happening so fast I'm afraid to miss something important.
I'm helping my mom tonight with her resume and some assessments for a transfer at her work. It's so painful. She's been a nurse in the same unit for 16 years so she's out of practice, and she can barely operate a computer lol. Love her but this is exhausting.
They had a fire drill at DC and Bub got scared and peed his pants. I feel bad for my kid and also for the teacher who had to deal with that.
Aww that's sad. I wonder if they explained it to him before.
It wasn't the first time they've done it, but I'm not sure if they talk about it earlier in the day. She also told me it was after nap and he hadn't gone to the bathroom yet, so he probably really had to go in the first place. We talked about it and he doesn't seem traumatized. He said "the red button beeped and I cried" but the he got excited talking about fire trucks.
