My Dh told me this morning he's feeling "gastro-ey" like wtf does that mean dude? Also, why tell me what while YOU'RE HOLDING THE BABY? I'm hoping he's just having digestion issues and not actually sick because if that's the case the party will be cancelled indefinitely. I was already crying over my sister being unable to come, and we're making plans for a make up date with her kids to let us "celebrate" even though they are to young to really care. It's for my sister more than anyone. Now if he's sick I think I'll end up drinking a whole bottle of wine to myself.
Seriously none of us were particularly lucky in birthdays. February here is really touchy with weather, and illnesses, I'm in late August which means all your friends from school have all summer to not see you then don't want to go to your party (true story bro) and pair it with labour day lots of people are away. Dh is beginning of January so right after Christmas. So I'm feeling a little sorry for myself this morning......sorry for the whining

Sorry kellybenelly83. I'm a January birthday with many snowed-out parties. One time my mom slid on ice bringing my birthday cake home. The icing all smashed to the side and the decorations on top fell over.
Here's to hoping it's more fun to celebrate our babies' days instead.

X has a cold so the baby I watch's mom decided to keep him home. Yay free day with X!
I have an interview this afternoon for a job that's 2 or 3 afternoons a week. It's part teaching and part social work- both are my backgrounds. I think it'd be great, but I'm worried the pay isn't going to be worth paying childcare. We'll see.

Sending your H all the healthy vibes kellybenelly83! I certainly won't blame you if you have to resort to a bottle of wine.
L has been an absolute beast the last two evenings. Nothing will distract her for more than a few seconds and all she wants is to cry, be held, get down, cry, be held, get down, cry, cry cry. I think her bottom molars may be trying to pop through, but she bites the shit out of me every time I try to check. It's so hard to work all day and want to come home to a decent time with the kids and have one bouncing off the walls and talking constantly and the other screaming and clinging.

That's frustrating, especially when your time with them is limited on weekdays (though maybe on days like that, it's not so bad). I hope whatever is bothering her settles soon.

Today I'm continuing to clean for guests this weekend. Then I have to work.
I'm also purging more baby stuff. I'm thinking of selling our PnP. We barely use it. When we travel to my hometown, my mom has an actual crib (same model as DS's) in her house. And DD sleeps on a twin bed now anyway. Now I just have to figure out what to list the price as.
Took the kids to the Y and worked out for an hour. OMG I AM SO OUT OF SHAPE. But the alone time was nice C did fine at childwatch and Lu did... okay. She cried a bit but they had someone 1:1 with her so at least I know she was getting attention. She will get used to it (hopefully)...

We went to the Y this morning too. The sitter said S was sad a little but otherwise did fine. H loves it.
Hello! H is finishing up lunch and then will be napping, S is currently napping but I'm sure she'll wake up soon. Nothing really planned for the rest of the day.
We made dijon chicken with a cauliflower parm mash tonight. Bobby could not get enough of the cauliflower. Hopefully we didn't just create a fart bomb for bedtime... lol.

Well my day turned around. Dh is fine, he's just a drama llama. So I took Ryan to daycare where he had a decent day, I got my haircut super cute, I shopped for bras and decided to be cheeky and sent Dh snaps of them on in the dressing room. It had the intended effect

Another busy day at work. Well, my morning was busy with non-work things. I had my hair done (roots dyed and just a slight trim) and then went home to meet the gal about our basement. She took some measurements and we talked ideas. We discussed some possible other future plans for creating better usable space if we plan to stay in the house long term (creating a mudroom, changing the master to create more bedrooms upstairs, etc.). We have the square footage to work with I just would like to change some things up.
I worked until 6 tonight so H got the kids. When I came home and walked in the door, DD stood right up and walked across the room over to me. And she walked the whole time until bed. I guess she's just decided she's a full time walker now. 🙈😪 She looks like such a big girl.

F16 haircut day?! I got like 5 inches chopped off. I haven't had my haircut in forEVER, so it feels so healthy! I'm also really lazy with beauty stuff, so hopefully this inspires me to actually put some product in it and style it more.
The interview went well. He seemed really interested, but I don't have the right certification (and I'm not getting it because it would cost like $6,000 to get for this stupid state and I'm not going to be here long enough to make it worth it). He said he was going to look into it, because there might be a way around it. So I'll take that as a good sign but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
