What did everyone think? Thoughts on Aaron? I thought he was way too clean to be up to any good.
And seeing Darryl cry just about broke my heart.
I thought it was a good episode. I for sure thought something was going to happen to Judith when Carl left her to go help with the door! I almost lost it. That whole 'holding the barn door' scene almost seemed like Maggie had dreamt it.
Aaron does look suspicious, especially with regards to his appearance. But I know his deal from the comics so I won't spoil. It's going to be exciting to see how much darker the show will get until something good happens. Something good HAS to happen, right?!

I was nervous about Judith too! I was thinking if something happens I might break my TV in grief!
Ugh what a boring episode!!! Nothing interesting happened. I almost fell asleep.
I prefer episodes like last nights to the ones where they kill off characters I like.
I was reading how people think the show is more suited for binge watching. Kind of like Breaking Bad. It's hard to get through the slower episodes but some are jam packed with action. I like the ebb and flow of them and they can't all be like Die Hard each week. I think showing the real struggles they would face was interesting. I've always wondered why we don't see them scavenging for food more often. I know it would be boring but it's pretty important.

Wait, that wasn't a dream? I thought it was! Then again I admit I was playing on my phone so I wasn't paying attention 100% last night.
NO! Ahh must resist. Even when I read on the Subreddit I have to dodge comic spoilers. I know they aren't always alighted right with the show but I avoid spoiling things for myself.
I liked the episode but I don't mind slower episodes here and there. Sasha annoyed me. I'm not convinced yet that Aaron is a bad guy, but even if he is good it's too good to be true... Or atleast too good to last long for the group, they never get that lucky! I liked all the symbolism. Like how the three in the group about ready to give up, were the first three to go hold the door, a definite turning point for Maggie I think. Father Gabriel was one of the last to go over, but he did end up going. I think his character is still struggling with being a coward and self serving (ironic as he was a religious man) but the longer he is with the group and when he finally forms some bonds I think we will see him become stronger and more willing to put the group before himself. I hope they develop his character and don't just kill him off.
Aaron knew Rick's name. Is that simply because he has been following him or do you think Morgan maybe ran into Aaron's group first on his way to find Rick in DC and he told them about Rick?

I don't think so. When Maggie and Sasha walk out of the barn it looks like a tornado swept the walkers away. Maybe it was, but then why would all of those walkers be outside. There were a lot of them.

No dream! A tornado came through and got all the walkers but just missed the barn! Seems like a few times there was some type of "miracle" this episode. The tornado, the dogs showing up just when they needed food and the rain just when they were struggling with drinking that water from "friends".

It didn't seem like it. Now I'm not sure. But all the damage outside was real. H and I were wondering why all the walkers would be drawn to them in a hoard like that. It seems like the storm drew them out. But their fire was tiny and they weren't being loud. Just kind of convenient.

Yeah, usually the character in general in on point but how the character develops and their story line is usually a little different.
Man reading what other people pick up on in these episodes helps so much. I don't know if it's because I'm always so tired come Sunday night or what, but I wouldn't notice half of the things you guys do if nobody pointed them out to me!
Poppy I used to read the subreddit religiously, but I stopped redditing once I started spending all my time on TD and now here again. Maybe I need to go back just for that!

Maybe Aaron lured them there. Since he was obviously the one who left them water, and then he shows up in the morning, I thought he had something to do with the hoard too.
shmee, you have to put down your phone! I notice I miss a lot too if I'm not giving it full attention. I used to do that a lot with Mad Men too. I'd miss looks or whispers because I was on TD.
You know what makes me crazy? Why are some of the walkers silent? Most of the time you can hear them coming from forever away but then like the one who killed Tyrese is silent and sneaky. No. They are not stealthy.
I think te Hord was just an easy way for the writers to set up the scene. Same with why some walkers are quiet. They need to be to make the scene work. I've had to stop letting some things bother me, like the silent walkers and clean shaven legs/faces.
Next week I vow to put my phone in the other room for TWD. Let's see if I'm more observant.
I think watching Talking Dead is very informative too. They talk about things I didn't pick up on or haven't thought of. I like the insight it gives me to the show. Plus Hardwick is adorable. He's a nut and makes the show fun. It looks like next weeks episode will be a good one for a no phone rule.

That's actually a very good point. I'm sure if I was binge watching it, I wouldn't have minded that episode. But where I wait all week long anxiously for a new episode, Im looking for it to be thrilling and exciting. Last nights just wasn't. But again, if I was watching a marathon of it on Netflix, it would have been a perfect filler episode after last weeks.

I totally binge watched ALL seasons of breaking bad lol v
That's what we did too. We started them right before the final season and watched that live. It was amazing. I've done that with a lot of shows actually. BB is one I miss a lot. It was gooood tv!

I really need to re watch the episode but I agree that Aaron is super sketchy. I was ready to lose it when Judith was left on the floor in the door scene. I had a flash back to that horrible scene when the guy from terminus had her.
I just watched it, so late to the convo. I cried when Darryl cried H laughed at me. Aaron is too clean, he even had like a layered outfit on too, what was that about?
