We're very excited in the Potato house for the Super Bowl. I'll be planning my menu today. Right now we're at N's swim class. G is chilling in the stroller. He gets super excited when I ask him if he wants to go in the pool. We'll definitely be signing him up in May. No other exciting plans today. Tomorrow is grocery shopping and watching the game. Go Pats!

Everyone is still sleeping. DS gave me 2 3 hr stretches, moving in the right direction at least!
Gymnastics for DD this morning then she has a friend coming over for a play date. They've had her over twice so I figured it was time to reciprocate. Hopefully I can take advantage of her being occupied and do some organizing and cleaning.
No real other plans, freezing cold out and snowing again.
DH and I were hoping on doing dinner and a movie tomorrow but still waiting to hear if my mom can babysit.
Hey-o. I've been up since 6:30. DS2 woke and when I came out to make a bottle I saw that DS1 had gotten up. So, here we are. I have my hair appt at 1:15 and will be taking off for home shortly after. H did our taxes last night...I nearly fainted when he sent me a screenshot of how much we're getting back. Again, were probably just putting it on our student loans...but still.
Yay weekend! Sleep was meh, maybe a little better than it has been. I'll take any improvement I can get. By 7:15, we were on the floor making DS1's Lego guys "talk." I was glad to get some nice play time in with him while DS2 sat quietly on my lap. Though now I am hoping we can read or go out later today because my imagination is not what it used to be.

I did our taxes on Tuesday when I was home with the boys. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw what we were getting back. We have some small bills to pay off and the rest will go into savings. We owe the state so I'm waiting to file those.
I'm legit sooo cranky today. I need to snap myself out of it. DD1 decided to add another wake up to our routine last night again. Always fun. Now we're travelling to see DH's grandmother, who we never really got Christmas gifts for, so I feel like a jackass and I was cutting up pictures in the car to put in coasters that we got as a gift. Also MIL will be there and i do not have the patience. I really need to do laundry and dishes and vacuuming and grocery shopping and hey maybe catch my breath?? Drink some water?? Pee?? No too much to ask? Ok. See? I need to stfu. Atleast the girls are being decent in the car. We're getting a good tax return too. We have a few options we're weighing. Paying off a car, getting a new roof among other house repairs, or putting it into savings and continuing to procrastinate stuff. I'll be rooting for the Pats but probably won't be staying up for the whole thing. I wish it was on earlier! Super Bowl is always fun to watch. I don't even know who is doing the halftime show?

The governor of GA declared yesterday to be Falcons Friday. My kids all had Falcons spirit days and even my office said we could wear our gear. Some pics from yesterday morning before work/school:

I've been going hardcore on my healthy eating lately and as of this morning I am down 7.2 lbs! I think I started this the week after New Years so it has been 3ish weeks? I am so happy to finally see the scale moving again.

Aside from waking up at 6:30 today, I have fallen down the stairs (only thing bruised other than my ego is my ass) and am getting DH ready to fly to Africa. Then clean all day to prep for friends coming over with their kiddo tomorrow.
sanibel21 Lady Gaga is going the halftime show. +1 wish the game started earlier. I, too, likely won't stay up for the whole thing. H has worked Super Bowl every year since DS1 was born, so it's just me and the kid(s). Not really worth staying up for.
I suddenly don't feel super well. My stomach feels...off. I wish I could take a nap, but I just put DS2 down and I have to leave in a half hour for my hair appt.
So sorry about your ass @macaroni amazing! britta fingers so crossed that you're not getting sick. Ugh! @kitchen good luck with the nanny hunt! I've decided I'm not eating enough to be EBFing this 16 lbs baby and therefore I'm hangry. Family visit done, now onto the 45 minute drive to pick up DHs car and 45 minutes home. Car naps for kids, please don't scream and/or whine the whole way home, please and thank you.

@kitchen the COL is similar here as it is for the area on Fixer Upper. I will admit, it's one perk of living in the south. We got our house brand new 5BR 3.5BA for $195k when the market crashed. I have friends who live in high COL areas who literally can't believe this.
Am I the only insane person who paces around the room with an infant attached to my boob?! This is the only way he will settle down sometimes. Once he latches on and calms down, I can sit down and nurse like a normal person. Doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be mentioned.
The other day babe was fussy and would only stay latched if I laid with him. He would only nurse side lying.

This day is getting worse. I officially have a cold and my mom's aunt in Canada just died this morning - she feels she can't risk going because even though she has citizenship and even though that judge overturned the E.O., she's worried because her birthplace says "Iran" that something might happen and she can't come home.

That's terrible all around. Sorry for the loss. And she shouldn't feel that way, but I can't blame her.

I'm so so sorry your mom even has to think about that, especially while grieving. This administration is absolute BS.
