The dealership guy said the best case scenario is only a couple hundred bucks, worst case is replacing the whole front of the engine. I told him I kind of hope it's the worst case so we can just get rid of it guilt-free.
Nothing planned, just hanging out around the house, exciting stuff. I think C could have silent reflux, so that's fun. She's been so fussy lately and seems so uncomfortable after eating and swallows all uncomfortably too. Has anyone dealt with this? I'll probably call the pedi on Monday if she continues like this all weekend.

How old is she?
Edit for more questions: How's diaper output/ weight gain so far? Any back arching, etc? How often/ long is she eating? How is she acting while eating? Is she usually alert after eating?

She's almost 5 weeks. Diaper output is good and she's gaining weight great. She just had her 1 month, she's up to 11 lb 8 oz, birth weight was 8 lb 10 oz. No back arching really. I try and hold her upright and she just won't sit still, she keeps moving her head around. I've been trying to do skin to skin and she won't relax or lay calmly for that either. She usually was eating every 2.5-3 hrs during the day, has done a few 4-5 hr stretch at night. Today I have been offering to nurse like every hour or two but she won't stay on for long, like sometimes 4-5 mins before pulling off and she's been writhing around and pulling away while still latched. Today she's been alert after eating. She's been up since 9 am and barely napped for 30 mins. She finally just settled down and I gave her to H to deal with. I'm going to post a video I took earlier of her and put on the pb. I feel like the swallowing she is doing and discomfort seems like reflux. I fear it could also be colic but she's been so uncomfortable all day and I thought colic was mostly in the evening. And she's not constantly crying like they say they can crying for 3 hrs.
Man I lead an exciting life because this makes me very happy -- I just ordered 3 bras that should fit (I only have one that fits currently...) that also will work for nursing, maternity underwear, and presents for DD's bday (Minnie mouse and bubble guppie things).
vlagroupie I agree with asking the pediatrician about reflux. Just wanted to rule out some other things. Definitely doesn't seem like she's hungry if weight gain and output are good, she's happy and alert and content with not nursing around the clock. The video also didn't look like hunger cues. Looks like discomfort. It could be normal newborn weird digestive stuff, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Colic to me is more like non stop screaming/ crying. This looks more like grunting/ fussing. When did she poop last?
vlagroupie G is a pretty chill baby but he still has fussy periods now and then. Colic is more consistent every day crying. C would cry when he was awake- there were very few times that he was content before 12ish weeks. She could be swallowing down reflux or she could be gassy- burp her really good and keep her up on your shoulder with her legs in a squat position. There's so many times G was fussy for a few days with a growth spurt or just gassy or fussy for a whole day and then it would be gone. G is less affected than C was by what I eat as well. Cut out caffeine alcohol and dairy (not like all dairy just don't eat pizza or drink a glass of Milk) and see if that helps.

She's had like 3 dirty diapers today, not total blowout poops but enough I would consider it a bm. She had a big blowout poop yesterday. I don't know that this has anything to do with it, but it really adds insult to injury for me...I think I'm getting my first pp period. All I can say is wtf?! With N I got my period at 6 weeks, it was awful. My skin totally starts breaking out with hormonal acne. With N I freaked out about my period and had the ob prescribe the mini pill. I'm pretty sure taking that affected my supply totally tanking and ultimately led to us stopping bf'ing. So, I'm not taking any pill this time while bf'ing even though I really want to bc if the acne gets really cystic I pretty much want to die. So far I just have a few small pimples on my chin, and I'm feeling crampy and I've got brighter red bleeding. I just want to cry I don't know why I get my period so soon Thanks for reading my novel, I'm all kinds of sunshine today.
Sorry you're in a rough patch vlagroupie. Hope you get things figured out with the babe and the hormones are kind to your skin. Completely understandable to be upset and frustrated.

I'm beginning to have serious doubts about being able to fly out Monday morning. I called the teladoc, who diagnosed as the flu. Has me starting on tamiflu and prescription anti nausea and anti diarrheal meds. I'm getting so dizzy from dehydration. And feeling guilty that H is handling both the boys leading into his solo week with them. I don't know what else to do.

Oh no Sorry you're dealing with that. I hope the meds kick in quickly.
bazingaa I'm so sorry you're feeling bad. I hope the meds clear stuff up quick and you get some relief. Please don't feel guilty, you are human and can't do everything all the time, your H should understand that. Try and rest!

So we had the realtor come today. With what she thinks the house will sell for, we will make making around a 40k profit. So that made me happy. She also said she wants to list it within the next 30 days cause there isn't a lot out there right now, so houses are selling quick. That's quicker than we were thinking, but I suppose we're ready to do it. We just have to paint and replace carpet and we will be good to go. Holy crap.
babylove518 that's great news! Good luck. The house we walked away from actually sold last week for $10K+ more than we were about to pay for it, so it must be a good time to sell!
I have both our lunches made, bags packed, clothes picked out, we both got a bath/shower tonight, and we're in bed more than 8 hours before my alarm is going to go off. Off to a good start. Just need to get us in the car by 6:30 tomorrow morning.
chrispy1122 do you have any other advice to share for my H about Korean food or customs so he doesn't embarrass himself?
Somehow missed this! He will be totally fine. I had to google Korean business customs, but a few I had heard of before were handing your business card with two hands and referring to other adults as Mr. or Mrs. Whatever or by their title. My H doesn't even call my parents by their first names (which is sort of awkward). Also don't be surprised if people give little bows when they shake his hand.
For food, he'll probably like bibimbap, bulgogi (marinated beef), Kalbi (Korean short ribs), (or any kind of Korean barbecue). Korean food is also served super-hot (temperature hot), so stews and soups will sometimes come out still boiling. Most Koreans will just start eating, but be careful! Also, it's considered impolite to pour your own drink (or at least soju, which is basically like low proof vodka). After someone pours you some, you should take the bottle and pour for them.
I think he'll have fun. Everyone that I know that has gone to Korean on business has enjoyed it. There's often a lot of eating, drinking, and sometimes karaokeing, which is funny to me.
