Just wrapping up wake up 2 (for the baby). Toddler, on the other hand, has been up five times. She has the same cold as me, so I know she's miserable. My H has handled exactly one toddler wake-up. Annoying. Especially since I'm sick, and he is not.
New low: puking into a trash can while nursing baby.
I'm debating calling the on call line. My bleeding isn't crazy or anything, but I got really light headed when I tried to get up to go to the bathroom and the pain is like worse than labor. The last thing I need is to be sent to the ER though
We just spent an hour and 20 mins on lefty, and she still wailed and rooted when she came off, so are now giving righty a chance to play. Mama would love to go back to sleep, C is bright eyed and doesn't look even close to milk drunk
I think B over eats during his nighttime feeding, then gets the hiccups and has gas and is so uncomfortable he wakes himself back up. So after sleeping for 20minutes after his 5:30 feed, he's back up. DD must have heard him fuss so she's up, so I'm up. Ugh.

Okay, this is not normal imo. Even for DS who was super slow and sleepy, even for my slow flow boobs (small pores, it's a real thing), he was only ever on one side for 30-45 minutes. I think you need to see an LC ASAP and have them do a weighted feed and see how much she's transferring

I gave N 1.75oz that I pumped earlier, then let her cluster feed before bed. 4.5 hours! We had one false alarm around the 3 hour mark and I got up to pee but I'm really glad I went back to bed!
Almost 1 pm here, trying to get DD for an early nap...DS is sleeping in the wrap on me. DD wanted to be carried all morning, meanwhile DS freaks out unless he's on me. Fun times.

I'm going Tuesday to a lactation circle to do a weighted feed and then have my pp visit immediately after with a mw who happens to be a LC. Her output is fine so I'm not worried about her not getting nutrition, I'm just wondering if one of us is very inefficient.
I'm on wake up 3 at 4am. LO has had bad gas pains and reflux so i didn't leave his room after his midnight wake up. Broken sleep on the sofa feels like no sleep at all. Hoping he'll settle better soon and I can get back to bed.

biscotto, That sounds like a special kind of hell. I mean, Yay for the love they have for you but not so yay for the lack of space.
W just gave me a 2.5hr stretch! I actually think he would've fallen back to sleep without nursing but my poor boob was so engorged I welcomed having to get up and nurse.

Thanks everyone I cry when she holds my necklace it's like she knows.
W slept from 12:30-6:30!!! Sound peaceful sleep too but now she is up up and there is no way I'm getting more sleep. I can usually put her back down after her 6am ish feed.
Hi, I ended up being able to go to the bathroom and that helped significantly. I still feel like shit, but I'm thinking maybe I have a stomach bug since H felt similarly the other night. The pain isn't really in my uterus, it's more like my entire abdomen. I'm still going to call in a bit I think.
I managed an hour of sleep before the 6.15am wake up. He nursed for 10 min and went back to sleep which is not normal. But DS1 was up by then. I got up to get him breakfast, made tea for DH then kicked him out of bed to look after DS1 so I could rest. I figured it wasn't worth trying to sleep because LO will wake up soon. That was 30 min ago. Will try now do of course he'll wake up in 5min...
pibblemom do you get the tingly sensation and then your boobs get really full feeling after she sucks for a little bit? If so is it possible that she's pain crying because gassy or reflux and when you try to unlatch her she's rooting for comfort? Does she fall asleep while eating after 5-10 minutes? Because she could be getting enough and just comfort sucking in which case I'd try giving her a soother and snuggling and also maybe burping more frequently as you nurse.

pibblemom that sounds like a good plan with the circle and mw. Just as a note: DS technically had the right amount of diaper output but wasn't gaining and was in trouble. Diapers aren't the whole story.
Well, I just put DD on my food scale. With her sleeper on she's up over 7 lbs 5 oz. at the pedi Weds she was 7 lbs 1 oz. I'll have to weigh the sleeper and see what it weighs, or get her naked and do it again but I don't think gaining is an issue.
