1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I feel like I'm at a good comfortable place right now.. which means its time to mix things up a bit! I'm encouraged by the progress Ive already made and excited to push myself a bit more.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Started Bikini Body Mommy! Omg my muscles forgot what it feels like the day after exercise, when you haven't exercised in a very long time!
3. What are your goals for this week? BBM every day, clean eating at least 5 out of 7 days. Ive realized I do better overall if I go in with a mindset that "cheats" are really treats, and I feel fine treating myself to an indulgence a couple times a week.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? Just that I miss warm weather SO much and can't wait for the seasons of park playing and outdoor swim sessions.
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? I don't think Ive ever worked out with other people, outside of like a group sport practice in HS. I like alone.

1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? better than expected, I'm only 3 minutes away from my 10k goal. And if I keep dropping 2 minutes a race, that's only 2 races until I meet it!
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Smashed it! My goal was to run my race today in 1:03, I ran it in 1:02! Which I really didn't think was going to happen since I had positive splits for miles 3 and 4.
3. What are your goals for this week? I need to get better about drinking water on the weekend. I'm fine during the work week, but I've fallen into old habits of not eating out drinking on the weekend when we're running around.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I kind of hit this in randoms but I'm super excited to get a new 10k PR after 7 years!
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? Depends. I love my long runs with friends, but otherwise I like doing things on my own time, which is more conducive to solo workouts.
1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I think I am progressing because my clothes are feeling quite a bit looser but it isn't super obvious. I'm hoping the difference will be more noticeable when summer hits.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Worked out 5X a week. Bought heavier weights and feel good about the difference.
3. What are your goals for this week? Work out 5X a week. Try not to make too many bad food decisions.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? There is currently an ice cream cake leftover from the Super Bowl in our freezer that MIL brought over; that thing needs to disappear stat.
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? Definitely solo. When I am with others it is more often than not my kids and they are a huge distraction.
1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I'm pretty happy so far! Even though I've only lost a few actual pounds so far, I have noticed I don't have to suck my belly in to button my pants anymore, and I've been doing really well on moving more thanks to my FitBit and I feel like I've also done better than I have in a long time with curbing how much I snack and eat sweets. I still allow myself treats, but overall, I've been making healthier choices, and I feel better for it.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Pretty ok. Down another pound for the week. This weekend we ate not so great thanks to a lot of unexpected stress thrown at us, but I kicked ass during the work week, so I guess things balance out in the end, right?
3. What are your goals for this week? I feel myself fighting the cold DS and H have, and my period is due just about any nanosecond now, so between those two, honestly, I just want to survive and not gain weight. If I'm feeling ok I'll try to get on the elliptical once or twice still (didn't happen Sunday), but hopefully I can keep the sweets cravings under control by getting chocolate out of my house. I had made a batch of chocolate cupcakes for the Super Bowl party we were supposed to go to before we realized DS had a fever, and those are now sitting in the lunchroom at work instead of my house.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? Not this week.
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? When I'm doing my elliptical or an exercise DVD, I prefer to be alone, because those things normally get me huffing and puffing. I really like taking walks with H though to unwind when we get back to daylight after dinner, and before our first kids my BFF and I were doing a yoga class together, which was nice because it was someone to be accountable with.

2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? I've been doing really well during the week and then falling off the wagon a bit on weekends. I need to make more effort fri-sun.
3. What are your goals for this week? Hitting 7,000 steps/day Work out 2x this week Lose 1lb by next Monday

1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I'm almost to my first short term goal which is back to/below PP weight. My long-term goal is really to be around a certain number when we TTC this summer. I think I'll make it.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? I always do terribly when H is OOT so the beginning of the week wasn't great. The rest was. We'll ignore the super bowl party yesterday. I didn't go crazy but I worked hard Saturday for those calories.
3. What are your goals for this week? Work out 3 times again; possibly add in some sort of daily core work. I'm starting to lift heavy again and I can feel my core isn't doing so hot especially when squatting. I might add in a plank challenge or something. Stay at/below calorie at least 5 days this week.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I'm officially down 10 pounds! People are noticing! It feels great! (Given the amount of weight I should lose, 10 pounds isn't a significant percentage of my body weight-so please don't feel bad about my number in comparison to yours. I'm going from very sedentary and eating whatevs to working out and tracking with the intention of losing 2lbs per week right now)
Also, I'm excited be we're getting an additional half-rack (for lifting) this week. Whenever H and I are working out together he gets the full rack and I use the crappy cable system front pegs. It's not comfortable and is awkward. I'm looking forward to feeling safer and more successful. And we're getting another barbell so we'll have one in each rack and one specifically for floor work. It's going to be so much better and faster. The plates will also have somewhere to go! Yay for organization!
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? I like both. I love group classes. I enjoy working out with my H once or more a week. It's actually giving us time to communicate like adults. That said, I also like lifting alone because I can listen to terrible music and get it done...and use the full rack.
1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I'm feeling good that I feel like my mindset has shifted. I feel less like I'm making time to work out, and that that time is there and I have to work around it. H and I have been keeping healthier groceries in the house. Sometimes I feel like I ate too much..then realize the stack of carrots and hummus (for example) I just ate that made me feel full isn't like the random anything else I would have had before.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Completed every day of both challenge groups I'm a part of!
3. What are your goals for this week? Still just keep doing both and keep up with my snacking choices/times
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I can't remember if I AWd here, but I pulled up my high top yoga pants last week and noticed I didn't have an extra bulge peeking up above the top!
5. GTKY: Do you prefer to work out alone or with others? Depends. I like my at home workouts but that I can check in with people online after. I also like our mom yoga classes, it's laid back and we get time to visit and laugh at each other but still get an exercise in! My favourite way to keep in shape before kids was rec volleyball league, so obviously a team effort there.

Water intake has greatly improved on the days I'm at work. Weekends are another story. Same with steps.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week?
Did well during the week, but not so much on the weekend. Saturday was the worst since I was gone from 7am to midnight. That means this week can only be better though.
3. What are your goals for this week?
Keep up with water intake and steps. Remember to pack my lunch and dinner, AND bring them with me to work.

This seems to be a good place to share L this weekend adopting one of my new weights. She was rocking it back and forth when I took this picture. She was so motherly to it, for some reason, lol!
1. Now that we're about a month in -- how are you progressing on your long term goals? I think I need to push my long term goal back a couple months, my original plan was 45 pounds by September (beginning of my new school year) I've lost over five pounds so far but am realizing that I might have been a little ambitious.
2. How did you do on your goal progress/choices this past week? Good on my eating, water and personal well being goals but exercise has been really really hard. I've been using dog walking as my exercise because by the time lO is in bed I'm exhausted and don't want to do anything but lately the weather has been beyond rotten (-45c with the windchill)so I've been cheating our walks.
3. What are your goals for this week? Keeping my water high and limiting junk food and snacking.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts? I miss my old town, the classes there were awesome, here I find the gyms super cliquy and competitive. The second is an AW and a rant: DH has lost 20 pounds...how is it so easy.

Yea SO went to the gym 3 times and (mostly) stopped eating fried foods and dropped like 3 pants sizes lol. WTF.
I feel you. I cut out sugar and alcohol the past month while DH had beer and ice cream every night. But I made him the same things I eat for lunch and dinner. Last night:
Me: I've still kind of been making us gluten free, non-dairy meals a lot.
DH: I noticed. I've really noticed a difference. I feel like I've lost weight, my clothes are fitting more loosely, and my stomach is way flatter.
Me: Are you kidding me? You are currently eating a giant bowl of ice cream! How is that possible?
Him: well I went surfing this weekend.
Me: You go surfing one time and you're "back in shape?" I work out every day and ran a half marathon! Life is not fair.
