So, DS1 was a totally different newborn/infant. He was wide awake most of the day and then sleepy come a reasonable bedtime. DD is the total opposite. She's sleepy during the day still (2.5 weeks), but I wake her every 2 hours to feed for about 20-30 min each time. She's happy unless I'm changing her diaper, etc. which has been lovely thus far. However, she becomes wide awake from 10/11-1am or so. She's not happy during this time, but not screaming. I guess she's more fussing, grunting, etc.
Is this common newborn stuff and her schedule will change as she wakes up more? DS is up at 6am sharp everyday, so I'd prefer to not have one night owl and one early bird! I'm so tired....tell me there is hope, lol.
weeklyplanner, I have a similar baby who is wide away from like 10pm-1am. Except she is usually screaming. It started last Tuesday night (of course, the night before DH returned to work). She was 2.5 weeks then. So, commiseration.
To answer your question, yes. it is TOTALLY normal (and TOTALLY ANNOYING) for infants to confuse day and night.
Life twins. This has been awful the past 2 nights, the same timeframe. She's fussy to the point of screaming. I don't remember this with DD1 but I'm hoping it's just a phase.
