How old is LO? 3 weeks on Wednesday

How's everything going? Better now that I'm pumping and can get an idea of how much he is taking in. The LC appointment on Saturday eased a lot of my concerns.

We also have an appointment to get W's lip and the tongue tie looked at by one of the pediatric dentists that the LC referred us to.

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share?

We had an appointment for speech therapy for DS1 this morning and I did not pump beforehand. I most definitely had a let down while I was there and leaked. And I made a diy pumping bra over the weekend.

What is something about your newborn(s) that surprised you?

I forgot how many diapers they go through lol. We've been so spoiled with our 6 diaper/day with the two year old.



GTKY: do you have any plans for Valentine's Day?

My parents will be in town, but we don't have anything planned right now.

How old is LO? 5wks

How's everything going? I feel l like we get over one hurdle go fave another. DS is gaining weight well since his TT WAS fixed and we've worked on getting better latch to help with the nipple compression. Still tgere a little but not terrible. Now he's decided to nurse with his gums instead of sticking out his tongue The LC gave me some exercises to do with him, but ouch bruised nipples.

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? Still waiting on our first awake smile that isn't gas related.

What is something about your newborn(s) that surprised you? I forgot how small they are! And how loud for something so small!

GTKY: do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? Nope. I really should go shopping for cards/gifts for DH and DS1 though so thanks for the reminder!

How old is LO? 4 weeks

How's everything going? Pretty good. I can't believe how much easier nursing is the second time around. It took me so much longer to get into a grove with DD.

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? I feel like we're dealing with a bit of reflux at the moment, but I'm going to watch it and see if it gets to the point where we need to intervene. DD had it so bad that she ended up with esophagitis and needed Prevacid, but I'm hoping we don't get there with DS.

What is something about your newborn(s) that surprised you? How alert he is! That and he has the funniest expressions.

GTKY: do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? Nope. I hadn't even thought about it...that's kinda sad lol.

opheliainwaders cluster feeding gets better, though it's hard to say when. There's often a 6 week growth spurt so could be related to that. Another common pattern is about every 2 weeks for the first 2-3 months. Hang in there! You're doing amazing!

bazinga hope the suck training works quickly and your nips heal soon. You're doing awesome.

One night of sleeping through my alarm for a night pump isn't gonna hurt my supply right? Holy engorgement. I did pump to empty afterwards.

W's tongue/ lip tie is being revised tomorrow!

tex yahoo! glad you got such a prompt appointment & revision. and, no, one missed pump session won't tank your supply. a pattern of missed pump session would. our bodies usually take a few days to adjust supply either way (up or down) depending on demand.

Thanks lilyelayne I'm hoping the pumping will be a nonissue after the we get back into the swing of things since we are getting the revision today.

Revision went well! Now just to work on getting him used to using his tongue for the latch since he had such restricted movement before.

3.5 weeks

Things are going pretty l. But I'm dealing with a little over-supply. I'm trying to pump less and less. But I soak through breast pads and shirts from my non-nursing boob. My Milkies Milk Saver should be delivered int he next couple of days, so, then I can nurse without pumping, and not waste any milk!

Share - Had to NIP, while out to dinner over the weekend. After I finished, I noticed an older man at the table across from us looking at me. I braced myself for a nasty comment. But he just said "cute family, congratulations!"

I'm surprised that she is bigger, and gaining faster than DD1. Such a pleasant surprise!

No V-day plans for us yet. We should figure that out. Maybe we'll do a lunch date and as MIL to watch the toddler.

How's everything going? just meh. I did make a request to my OB for a prescription for reglan

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? E hasn't latched in about a week, not sure why all of a sudden.

What is something about your newborn(s) that surprised you? She is getting so big so quickly

GTKY: do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? Nope I was hoping MIL would come by to watch over her this weekend or next so H & I could go to dinner, but we will see.
