The mamaroo is a sanity saver. Other than that, there's not a lot else we use that aren't just basic necessities.
My kid is one of the ones that doesn't really care for the mamaroo:( However the rnp that rocks itself and you can control from your phone, amazing. Laziness at its best and the best money I've spent.

So, we have a mamaroo that we are borrowing from a friend. Maybe this is a weird question, but do you use it while W is awake? Or for naps? Does he fall asleep in it with it on, or do you transfer him into it after he's asleep?
Sorry for all the questions. B doesn't seem to like his and I'm kinda feeling let down since I've heard such great things.

Things we have this time that we didn't have for DD1 that are life-changing:
A) Second nursing pillow (one for the living room, where I live during the day), one for overnight (in whatever room the babe is sleeping. Our room for now, her room in a few weeks). B) Second RNP (same reason as above)
I will be buying some milk-saving receptacle (see my poll!) with my amazon gift card!
So far my kid doesn't care for the RNP or the Halo bassinest. I'm hoping that passes. I'm going to start trying to wear her with my wraps soon because I need two hands.
TTC#1 since Feb 2011 With an RE since 2012 August 2012/March 2014: Med cycles, 5 IUIs, 5 IVFs and nothing. Diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF)
We adopted four embryos! Transferred 2 - they both took!!! Rebecca & Sara born at 23 weeks on 04/06/15. Rest in peace my angels. May 2016 - Transferred one embryo. BFP on 5/11!! We are due in January 2017!

There something about Halo Bassinest. My kid hates it too. I think it's because it's somewhat sloped.

All of the above. It works better for us as a way to keep him asleep because he seems to get bored when he's awake. But he seems to get that way anywhere when he's awake so there you go.
Swaddlemes Ring sling/wrap Extra prefolds for spitup, or receiving blankets Bamboo blankets (we like the tula ones, I've heard the a&a bamboo blankets are nice too) Extra changing pad for downstairs Extra boppy for downstairs All of the fleece sleepers Rnp for somewhere to set baby downstairs

Is it sloped? I hadn't noticed. I thought maybe it was too flat vs hospital bassinets that had a slope to them.

I'm tempted to look into a ring sling. F hates my ktan, which DS1 loved. Any R's recs?
Look on 5mr dot com and see if they have any on sale. You can get some nice wrap conversions for $50-60 if you hit the right sales. Medium size will fit most people.

RNP, burp cloths and muslin swaddles are getting the most use here. I'm planning to try some Velcro swaddles soon since I need to tie down her arms to nurse. DS refused to sleep with arms in so we never used the Velcro swaddles with him.
