I'm calling it MOTN because I was (half) asleep already. C woke up from her brief nap after an hour, fed for 20 mins, work herself up, I supplemented with an oz of previously pumped milk, then she got back on the other boob, which I'm glad was still going bc I had been pumping it as she was eating, til she fell asleep. She mostly slept through swaddling, which she never does, so I thought we were in the clear. Wrong. 10 mins after I turn off the light a poop woke her up. We are back at square 1, but I reswaddled first, hoping she can't break free of it. She doesn't love swaddles bc she loves her hands but her startle reflex is even worse.
Times like this, when I'm totally beat, I wonder why I fight so hard to bf and if it's worth the sleep deprivation. I was FF and I think I turned out ok.

Im sorry you're struggling. Make whatever decision is best for you. Happy momma, happy baby.
We're up for wakeup #2. DS had his last dose of antibiotics, I hope his tummy starts feeing better.
Up here. It's early, but B went down at 7 so 4hrs is a win!
On a bad note, I had an allergic reaction to the neosporin I put on my side boob rash (yes, still there). 😩I'm using the lilypadz, so no more bra irritation, but I'm so horribly itchy. Ugh. Whyyyyy
B just slept three hours straight. Of course H and I were up watching tv but still, it's a good sign. He's up now for his first MOTN bottle and FX he sleeps for another three hours. Sleepy baby dust for all.
I'm in bed, R has been asleep for about 45 minutes but it doesn't seem like a deep sleep, he is making all kinds of noises. The last couple of nights he has gone down around 11 and has slept until 5:30, so I know I should go to sleep but I just feel like he is going to wake up any time now. I guess I'll close my eyes and hope for the best. I hope everyone gets some good stretches tonight!

Hugs pibblemom. It's a hard thing to do when everything is going right, let alone when it isn't. Do what's best for you and ultimately, that'll be what's best for your baby, too.
ellabee, Oh yuck. I hope that rash clears up soon!
I think W is getting down to his "final" feed before bedtime. H offered to sleep on the couch tonight since he doesn't need to be at work until noon. I think that means he'll have W so I can get some sound sleep? I don't know, he wasn't very clear about it.
Dd had a long awake period where she was super fussy and active. Evidently it tired her out because she was asleep for 3.5 hours. However, ds is awake. Mh is trying to get him to back to bed while I handle dd. I was cold and tired today so I just want to get back to sleep.
pibblemom hugs. Either way, she'll be fed and fine.

N took a nap on my chest until about 45 minutes ago when I put her to wake her up. Found a Velcro swaddle that was a hand me down I forgot about, trying that tonight. She's super mad about having her arms tied down but that's normal, it's just faster for me. FX she's done nursing soon and gives me nice long stretches.

F was sleeping peacefully in his swing. I was ready to go to sleep so I moved him to the cosleeper. This was probably a mistake. I should have left him and slept on the couch.
The Wonder Weeks app says he'll be fussy and want to sleep on me right now. Sounds accurate.
pibblemom I'm firmly team feedyourbaby however you choose to, happy mom = happy baby. However, don't quit on a bad day. Make a thorough decision if you want to switch so you know it's what you want for sure and not just sleep deprivation talking. Hugs sweetie.
meeggaannw that sounds like an amazing night. I sort of want to punch you in the nose. I'm like the best way possible thelittleredm sooo why is he sleeping on the couch then? .
lakegirl fx it goes well and you can get that good sleep in.
silvermelody I hope that swaddle works! I have two and love them!
It's 12:26 and I'm just about to go to sleep.i nursed C and swaddles her, she's out. I'm eating a cookie and watching Netflix instead of sleeping because I need like 20 min of me time. I know, crazy, but damn I'm tired and equally touched out and I just need like 20 min before bed lol.
Thanks ladies. We're up for our regularly scheduled 3am feed. I need to dissect what exactly is bothering me. I really don't mind BFing during the day. It's evening and overnights I think it would be so much easier to just let H handle sometimes.

I feel ya, nighttime is the hardest for me and I want to give up sometimes. But I kept powering through bc I know it gets better. And if it doesn't then I'll make a change.

ashtog, He decided to sleep on the couch because he was tired of being woken up because of his snoring and also because he thinks I sleep better alone when dealing with W. We switched out to have me on the couch last night because it was easier to hold W on my chest and sleep there than it was in our bed.
Wake up #1. Only got three hours this time but whatever, still better than 1!

Velcro swaddle epic fail. She fought and fought. I rocked her in the RNP, rocked her on my chest, back in the RNP. Technically she was down for 3 hours but it was basically five minutes of sleep and then five minutes of mad grunting as she tried to break free. I kept hoping she'd tire herself out but she just made herself hungry it seems. And she had a big poop.
Up for wake up #1 after H slept for 6hrs. Yay but holy engorgement. He seems to be going down for the night more consistently at 8ish now. I really should go to bed earlier than I am to take advantage of the opportunity for sleep but I also like the me time to watch some tv or something.
silvermelody, the same thing happened over here with the swaddle me. It's too stretchy and just pisses C off. I used it last night as a 2nd swaddle over the muslin blanket for added reinforcement, can't say it worked or didn't because our night was only 2ish hour stretches.
