I had a baby, guys! I'm so excited and exhausted.
So I woke up Tuesday morning with pretty regular contractions and my OB says head to the hospital. I get here and get examined and contractions are still not very strong, since the hospital is kinda far from my house I'm told to walk around the hospital for two hours to try and get things going.
So I do, and it works, contractions become more regular and stronger and they admit me around noon. I walk and walk and get monitored but things are progressing VERY slowly. Towards the evening contractions are very strong and I need anesthesia, however I'm still only dilated to 4 cm. I get anesthesia and OB breaks my water and two hours later... Nothing has changed. Same dilation, baby still pretty high. At this point I've been in labor for over 17 hours and having strong, close contractions for over 12.
So I get a C section. I'm kinda frustrated but at that point I was exhausted and out of options.
Sadly he does not share oldbaylover1024 's birthday because it was already after midnight when he was born, so 2/8.
It went well and recovery is going OK so far. Most important of all, baby is doing great!
