I took @martini advice and called about the interview, I go in at 12. I also have to run to loft, get an outfit and shoes because I don't have time to go home and change and forget to bring dress clothes with me....Ahhhh!

Snow day here, too. It JUST started snowing. Tons of businesses and schools are closed. C'mon, New England, we make fun of the south for this shit.
I know it's been snowing in other parts of the region all morning, but I can still see my grass.
I don't remember exactly where you are but I think this is pretty definitively going to be a major storm for most of New England. It's starting a bit later (at least here) than they initially predicted, but the worst is expected middle of the day through the afternoon. Schools and businesses would end up closing early and a whole ton of people would be out on the roads to get home when that starts up. I think in this case it's a smart decision to be prepared and avoid unnecessary travel and potential accidents.
Sparkly I don't fault the schools for closing. But they're predicting 10-13 inches in my area. We didn't need to shut everything down.
It's fine, I guess it's good for parents who would otherwise need to deal with snow days. But I don't want to see any making fun of the south for shutting down anymore.
I'm so jealous of the snow. It flurried here for about half an hour yesterday but that's all. I just want one good snow so my DD can use the sled we got her for Christmas.

It's a "rain day" here in NorCal, which is weird and not a thing that happens very often. There was flooding on Monday and I guess they got nervous about the storm we're supposed to get today, so they preemptively closed schools. So I'm "working from home" and hanging out with the kids today. Kind of a nice break-up to the week, since I haven't been able to concentrate on work lately anyway.
Now if only I can get the 3 year-old out of the house.
I'm so fucked for nap time today. DD barely naps when she's at home anymore and I usually just put her in the car instead for a car nap. Hell no to doing that today with all this snow. We'll be lucky if we even get to the pedi later today. I really need her to nap!

Eh, I poke fun but am fully aware of the fact that they're not equipped to handle certain types of weather and that's why it needs to happen. 10-13" is a pretty significant amount, even when we are equipped, especially for areas where we got snow and/or ice on Tuesday. So I'm not judging. We chose to be closed today. People being off the roads mean crews can clear them more quickly and easily as the storm happens.
I need DD's DC magician teacher to come here stat to get her to nap. How do they do it? She is currently jumping on the couch and no signs of calming down anytime soon 😩

We had an information evening last night at the primary school DD will be attending and today I took her for her 4-year check up and vaccination. She is suddenly getting so big. And she will probably be cranky later due to the injection, fun times ahead.
It might be exactly what it looks like, I don't know.
But Madison Rodriquez posted the photo 11 hours ago. In that time the university has been able to conduct a thorough investigation, interview those involved and pass judgment?
It loses all of its sensationalism if it's reported after those things have occurred.

I emailed my boss this morning and she said my work is open so I got up, got dressed and drove to work. Only to find out that besides my boss, I was the only one who did in our dept. Everyone else called in around 8-8:15 (we start at 8:30). She said I could go home though so I drove right back home again. I was a little annoyed we even had to go in to begin with. I don't consider my job essential.
I'm debating about putting DD in the car as she has still not napped and just being way early for her pedi appt. She'd most likely fall asleep at home right before we'd have to leave anyway. I'm hoping the roads are plowed. FX.
Thank you! I have a twelve hour workday and day 1.5 of period so cramp hell. Ha. But I did just buy myself a lox sandwich and might get a cupcake later.
Ew that's too much working on your bday! I hope you get that cupcake (make it two).
Car nap success! It literally only took driving around the corner (very slowly) to the store (I'm parked now FTR) Hoping she sleeps for a bit and wakes in a better mood!
