Quiet morning on the boards I see. Ever since C got sick he's been waking up earlier and earlier. Today he was up for the day at 5:45 (yesterday was around 6:10) I tried laying him back down and told him it wasn't time to wake up yet but he didn't believe me. DHs parents host a customer appreciation lunch in every year and it's today. C and I will head in to help shortly. It runs until 2p and I know there is no way he'll make it the full time. I was hoping I'd be able to get him to make it until 1, but since he was up super early I'm guessing we'll be leaving pretty early. DH and I invite a few of our bigger customers to this as well. (DHs shop is located in the back of his parents store and the lunch takes place in the shop.) Other than that not much else is planned. We'll come home for his nap and then head back into town for Friday night dinner at the in laws. What's everyone up to today?

Grumpy morning here. I bought a new camera the day before yesterday so I was super excited to take some photos. Now my computer won't turn on, so I can't upload/edit anything. We already blew the budget replacing our camera so a new MacBook is not an option. Just annoyed that everything stops working at the same time. I need these things to run a business but can't replace them without making money... Haha.
We still have no internet, no TV, and I'm tired of listening to the same 50 songs on my phone. If this month has taught me anything it's that I rely way too much on technology.

I'm so glad it's finally Friday, this week has been kind of a shit show. But DS and I successfully navigated the grocery store this morning, and then I think we're headed up to my sisters after his nap to have dinner with her since H will be gone until late to go to a game. I'm just looking forward to getting back home, getting DS to bed and then having some tea and passing out early.
Oh no sugarkissed!! Hope you can get a new/fixed computer soon!
DS is at preschool for a rare Friday class (they usually don't unless they need a make up class). So he had a 3 day week and gymnastics yesterday, he's on the run! He's been asking H to take him to gymnastics lately which is fine and I know he likes the bonding time with him when H is at work all day, but yesterday he gave me a hug and said "Mom, maybe you can take me to gymnastics today so we can have a boy and girl trip". (It's about a 15 minute drive in the next town over and right at our normal supper time so one of us needs to stay home to get that ready). So that was sweet and fun to see how much he's been learning again since I haven't gone yet since the new set started a few weeks ago.
Friday nights are popcorn nights in this house, then tomorrow we are off to the ILs for the rest of the weekend. Happy Friday!

I grocery shopped alone while C was at dance class this morning and it was AH-mazing! Got the stuff to make baked ziti for dinner and an amazing deal on chicken that I'm going to throw in the crockpot for chicken enchiladas later this week:)

I'm standing in the parenting section of this little Downtown Bklyn bookstore on my lunch break, and I hear the request for a book called, "Parenting begins before conception." I was amused.

We just had a 3 hr playdate with cousins. It was so nice to spend time with my SIL. I think we'll have to do those a lot more often. Just groceries left on our agenda for the day. I'm about the call my student loan bank and ask to refinance for a shorter term with a lower APR. FX I don't sound like a buffoon.
ok. So...you thought it was amusing that a person who is thinking of TTC would want to read a book about parenting? Or do you disagree with the notion that parenting begins before conception?
I guess I don't see why someone wanting to be informed about a decision they are thinking of making is amusing. But I guess TETO and all that.
I think it's great to read parenting books before getting pregnant, or deciding to have a baby, or adopting, or what have you. It made me chuckle because it's such a park slope (Brooklyn) mom thing to ask for. They have their children being interviewed for kindergarten when they're 6 months old.
Please don't read into it as something that it's not.
I'm due for a yearly physical soon so will be going after our trip and will ask then. But I'm wondering if I'm feeling tired/weak today from all the blood loss from my period. It's been super heavy lately. Do any of you deal with this and feel like shit from it? I take a multivitamin daily but I wonder if taking iron pills around this time would help? I just took Advil hopefully I will feel better after it kicks in. Blah.
I used to have this in high school. I would up my iron intake (red meat/spinach/ etc.) during that week.

Recovering from brutal stomach flu, so currently snuggling T while he naps. On the bright side, I lost 6 lbs this week. Also got a new phone (finally). RIP LG Enact. This weekend promises to be fun. Handgun class on Saturday, and Pampered Chef party with my SIL on Sunday (complete with chocolate fountain).
Today my boss brought us coffee and donuts for breakfast and then pizza for lunch. It was fabulous. Oh and LO made it through four full weeks of daycare without getting sick and his Valentine cards turned out great. Today was a huge win!
