I'm about to take the baby into the bathroom while I shower so he can breathe in the steam and maybe clear up a little. The question is if he falls asleep in the rock and play while I'm showering do I move him to his bassinet or just leave them in the bathroom? I know I shouldn't move a sleeping baby but he doesn't sleep great and the rock and play and this is normally a pretty Long stretch.
If he were in a deep sleep, I'd try to very gently move him meeggaannw, but that's just me.
After several nights of 2hr45min stretches, B finally gave me 4hrs tonight. Not to be greedy, but fx for another one? I'm going to tell DH that this is because he/my parents took DD for the day and I was able to focus solely on Bs needs. Whether that's true or not, who knows lol.
So I decided to go to bed early tonight in the hopes of a good stretch of sleep. I turned off all the lights and went to walk to the bedroom. And kicked a slab of sodas on the floor. Am now in urgent care with a little toe sticking out from my foot at a 45 degree angle. Ouch!!
I left DH at home with DS1 but brought H with me because I've yet to pump so if he woke there'd be nothing to feed him at home Hoping we're out of here without a wake up. Thankfully it's still early here so the place is not full of drunken injured people. Yet...

I'm up pumping H is still dealing with E. I hope he Does for a bit longer so I can hopefully get some more sleep or I hope at least E gives us more 4-5 hr stretches.
I had my 6 week check and I am still bleeding and he wants to do a ultrasound next week. Ok no problem . C still has thrush. No problem. I get home and my tooth spontaneously cracks and I am in excruciating pain. Now there's a problem. Fucks. No breaks for ashtog.
I'm in Ned feeding C before she goes down for hopefully a good long stretch!
Oh my god ashtog, you really need to catch a break! I hope you can see a dentist soon and get some help. Poor you. Or at the least I hope C sleeps well for you.
So the Dr offered to realign my fractured toe without any anaesthetic. No thanks! Nerve block injection in my toe hurt more than my spinal but at least my toe points in the right direction now and I'll be home by midnight.
We are up, I swear he knows when I'm home alone. He has slept until at least 5:30-6 the last 5 or so days, except last night and tonight. Hoping to feed him quickly and get him back down and go to bed.
Oh no ashtog and bazinga! I hope you both feel better.
It's been a long night in our house. Been trying to sleep more than 30 min stretches since 10pm, it's now after 5am. The only place she'll sleep is on me tonight and every time I doze off nursing and then try to move her she wakes up 30 mins later screaming. Not sure I'm going to move her this time around. I just need sleep.
We made it home and I got H into bed for another hour and a half before wake up 1. I thought he would be awesome sooner so o lay on his sofa instead of going to bed. My foot is throbing and I've only slept an hour but I'm calling almost 6hrs sleep for H a win. Hoping he settles now so I can go to bed.
Rough night around these parts. Sorry to bazinga and ashtog for the extra stress, no fun. We were doing good with a decent stretch then up to eat followed by C not wanting to go back down. I think she needs to burp but I'd say I was trying for like 30 mins before I tapped out and called on H to help ugh.
M had a rough evening with some of her loudest crying yet but it wore her out and she gave me an 8 hour stretch. She is so inconsolable in the evenings and it's just heartbreaking but I can't think of anything else to help her.
Holy crap, 8 hrs! Sorry for the inconsolable crying but at least you finally got a break.

carrots, That sucks about the crying. I'd be going crazy about that. But yay for 8 hours of sleeping! That part sounds heavenly.
Well, I stayed up late even though I have been exhausted. It was good, I guess, because W woke up randomly at 12:45 to eat. But he gave me 3 hours before this second wake up so that's nice! He's in his crib tonight and I'm sleeping in the same room on DS1's bed since he decided to randomly go home with my mom after dinner. I'm so happy he has a twin sized bed. I'm so happy this is working out so far and the couch is unneeded. I hope he continues to sleep well tonight.

N refused to go down before midnight. I was so frustrated. We got a nearly 4 hour stretch. She'd better go back to sleep after the 7am wakeup because we can actually sleep in today
Dear Mr. Lake, Bringing the toddler and dog into our bed this morning and then leaving me with a toddler (who wants to go downstairs, not cuddle) and baby while you take the dog out is the opposite of letting me sleep in. This is not what we agreed upon. Guess I'll be sleeping in tomorrow morning? Love, Mrs. Lake
carrots LT for the sleep not the crying. pibblemom I'm so sorry for the rough night. Do you have anyone who can come by and let you take a nap today? @bazibga I am so sorry about your foot! I hope H gives you another good stretch that you can actually sleep during. lakegirl that is most assuredly not sleeping in. I say you get a nap today and a do over tomorrow.
