Up since 6:15 with DS after he peed the bed. Already have his laundry going (for obvious reasons). DH is getting donuts and the kids are watching zootopia.
We have a fundraiser tonight, so my parents are going to watch the kids.
Well yesterday was a disaster. Since C woke up so early he was done with the lunch in pretty much before it even started. We were on our way home for his nap by 11:30. Of course he only napped for 1:15 minutes. Because he napped early and it was short he was a hot mess last night for dinner at the in laws. DH walked out of the bedroom with him stating it was time to go home. C was freaking out and nothing would calm him. We hadn't even eaten dinner yet. Got home and put C to bed and he slept until about 6:30 this morning (about 11 hours.) hopefully today is better. DH and I have dinner plans with some friends tonight. I'm excited to go out and see them, but part of me wishes it was just DH and I. We really need a date night, we haven't had one since our anniversary in October.

sabrinaml hope today is better! Have fun but on your night out!
The girls and I are driving to my hometown to visit a friend today. It's going to be a long day, but I'm looking forward to doing something different. Tomorrow we have a birthday party for my niece and nephew, which I'm dreading, but the girls will have a blast loading up on sugar!

J and I are just doing some Saturday chores, trying to decide if I'm feeling well enough to go to brunch. The place down the street from me has an eggs Benedict burger that I've been dying to try.
We are en route to my ILs for the rest of the weekend. We haven't been able to go their way in a long time so it will be good! (Our place is on the way to their original hometown which is a huge drive so they've been stopping at ours lately since dealing with FILs Mom passing away at Christmas and then having to go down to get all that stuff done)
I sent an inquiry email today about getting DS registered for t-ball for the first time this spring and I'm very excited about it!
Random story, my sister is en route to Ecuador right now and when she got on her first plane yesterday she was two rows behind one of our best (and..ahem..totally my player crush) players from our pro football team. Stuff like that happens to her all the time, and she's the perfect person for it to happen to because she has such a dry sense of humour. She was laughing at the lady beside her taking a picture of the back of his head haha.

Feel better, budders! I'm glad you're able to get some rest!
DS wound up not falling asleep in the car on the way home from my sisters yesterday like I had planned, which means he was up about an hour and a half past bedtime. And naturally, he woke up on the earlier side of his normal today. We had a super busy morning going to the Little Gym and playing with his train he got yesterday, so fingers crossed this nap is a nice long one! Luckily, no other plans this weekend besides cleaning, laundry, and hopefully a trip to the children's museum.
billyhorrible add me to the 530am club with both kids
I'm sitting in the grocery store parking lot. DD fell asleep on the way here. Just catching up on the news and TCFing.
It's super icy here today. We had snow earlier this week and then it rained yesterday. Today it's below freezing. I'm excited for spring to be here soon.
STMs - any tips for getting out of the house with both kids? I want to start picking W up from daycare early once or twice a week but am still really intimidated to do much with them both (even when I have H with me too).
I wore BH everywhere, so it wasn't much different than being pregnant. What is intimidating to you? (ie, what are you concerned is going to happen when you're out with both?)

I was going to ask a similar question carrots because I wasn't really sure on what specific advice to give. Baby wear if you can and don't lug a huge diaper bag around with you. Just leave it in be car so it's there if there is an emergency. And in general just start doing it. You'll quickly figure out the right order to get things done and you will fall into a groove.
billyhorrible I think I'm most struggling with timing bc I'm not comfortable nursing M in public yet so the window where she doesn't need to be fed and it isn't W's naptime seems small.
I think this is hard. I get it, but I wish it wasn't this way for you. Not that giving a bottle is bad, but don't forget you need to pump everytime you do, relatively close to when you feed. And pumping in public would be more difficult for me personally. But no matter what, this will get easier with time, whether because you get more comfortable, or because she goes longer between feedings.

We had therapy this morning. J was a mess throughout it since he was up around 4:15 and I'm not sure he ever fell back asleep. He finally went down for a nap around 2 and is still sleeping. I'm tempted to see if my parents want him for the night so that I can actually get some sleep.
Anyone else's LO not eating as much lately? Wondering if it's normal or if I need to email his pediatrician. He had what I'm assuming was a stomachache wednesday night, then hasn't eaten much since then. He even refused his milk at lunch today, which is unheard of for him.
carrots I didn't have to do much public nursing in the beginning for short outings. LO would just sleep the whole trip because I was wearing him, I'm sure you'll find M to be similar. Sometimes I would take him back to the car to nurse if we were in line at the grocery store or something and he started to lose it. But I think in general if you are just doing quick trips you won't find yourself having to NIP as much as you are worried about. Either way you'll be ok! It's trial and error and you learn to just roll with the punches. You got this!
We're up. C thought 4:30 was an appropriate time to start the day. I tried laying him back down twice but all he did was scream. I've been up since around 3:15. I have a feeling it's going to be a long day.
Proof my child doesn't feel great: it's almost 8am and he hasn't bothered me for food. He typically eats around 7. We're supposed to go to my cousin's for their daughter's birthday party today but I don't know how I feel taking a sick kid to play with other kids. Andplusalso neither H or I really want to go.
budders I hope you feel better soon! sabrinaml I hope your day goes better than expected.
Yesterday J & I went and visited my grandparents. She didn't break anything! I was so scared she would.
Today we have my cousin's 30th birthday party. Unfortunately it's right in the middle of a normal nap time. J has been severely cranky lately, so I'm hoping she can handle it. FX!

I have to go to my niece and nephew's joint birthday party today. I don't want to go. I get irrationally annoyed when I have to go hang out with DH's family when he works away. DD1 is super excited though, so I'm doing it for that.
Still haven't bought a gift... What do 9 year old boys and 5 year old girls like?
Well I got C to lay with me on the couch and sleep from 5:35-6:25ish. Low key morning then meeting up with DH to grab lunch and pick up some groceries before nap. MIL wants C and I to go to some dog training thing at 3 with her. I spent my morning cleaning g out the pantry. It needed it but it only happened because I went to grab some cereal and noticed mouse droppings in there. So everything was pulled out and wiped down and lots of stuff was just tossed in the trash.

My kid has been blowing raspberries and talking to his animals in his crib for about the last 20 minutes instead of napping. Part of me wonders if we should just get him, but part of me is really tired and just needs a break. Go to sleep, kid!

Board games, video games, outdoor activities (sports related/active type stuff), legos... everything!

budders, I hope you're feeling better today and the rest helped with your flare up.
We had a rough go at The Little Gym today. He was not happy and cried for about half the time. He also seems to love the pictures on the walls of different kids doing gymnastics, points to them, and then turns to me and says, "eh?" I find his interest in the pictures a bit unusual, but he does seem to want me to notice them too, so I guess that's good? I don't know.
Just home now while M is napping, and DH is at his first weekend drill.
Oh yea, so our developmentalist teacher for EI apparently is an older lady, I guessing 55-60, and she can't even sit on the floor with M. And, my kid isn't the type to sit quietly and contently in a high chair to work with her. She's a nice lady and I don't want to be an agist, but would you all think it's a problem that she can't even sit on the floor ---she sat on his toy drum last time.
holliberry28 the pointing at faces sounds cute and like he is attempting to communicate to you.
I can understand her wanting to sit in a chair or a stool but she also needs to be prepared to move around a lot since kids this age tend to not want to sit still. I hope the lessons go well and are productive for him
H woke up with a cold, too. O just took a 3 1/2 hour nap. We didn't go to the cousin thing since they both feel crummy. I'm glad I told them before O's nap since we would have ended up cancelling based on his nap. The party started an hour ago and they live an hour away.
