I was just coming to start the weekend thread. Hai hikingmama222!!

I'm pretty excited. DH finally got his Amazon gift card and the elliptical we ordered is being delivered this morning. Yay fitness!

Otherwise, DH is working the short shift today. Usually they do 7-11, but the baby was up at 4:15 so he went in early. I'm hoping he peaces out at 10, but he already txt and said they were busy this morning. I promptly txt him back that he's not actually the one on call, so cool story bro. I'm ready to have some help with these kids.

DS1 seems a little better today. He feels a little warm, but he's playing a little and ate breakfast, so FX he's really on the up and up now.

5:30 wake up call in our house. I was up feeding DS. The dog was downstairs pacing and licking his empty water bowl, so I sent DH down to fill it. He put the dog out and then the dog wasn't coming back in so DH had to get dressed and go get him. He was laying in the snow at the bottom of the stairs to the deck. Poor guy is really having issues with stairs. All the commotion woke DD up and DS wouldn't go back to sleep. So I brought the kids downstairs. DH went back to sleep (he's up at 430 during the week so I let him sleep in, I don't mind being up early).

DS fell back asleep in the wrap while I was puttering around and DD is watching TV. She's got gymnastics this morning and my mom and sister are coming over this afternoon. Hoping to run out on my own and get a pedicure, it's much needed.

@kitchen I'm blaming you. After you mentioned winning your custom I've been obsessing over more wraps... I'd love to try a silk blend. The $$ scare me though Just so many pretties out there!

Anyone else's litle nursling become super distracted while eating lately? I'm lucky if he can focus long enough to stay on for 5 minutes. Once my let down is over he pretty much won't stick around to keep feeding. So he's reverse cycling. Night time feedings are now 20+ minute affairs... every 2 hours.

Hi! britta! Glad DS1 is feeling better. You definitely need a break after the last few weeks with your boys. Hope DH gets out of work early.

I made French Toast. Big P is watching Ice Age Continental Drift and Lil P just woke up from her nap. Mr. P didn't feel good overnight and is still sleeping. I hope to go pick up my wedding and engagement ring later today.

Rough night of sleep here, and then DS2 keeps going from happy to inconsolable over and over again. Really hoping the afternoon is better because I have got to stop eating all my stress feelings.

hikingmama222 I don't know how you are functioning on sleep like that. I felt like a zombie the nights DS2 reverted back to every 3-4 hour feedings during the night. I can't imagine.

Delivery guy just called. He said he'll be here about 12:30. I guess that's pretty close to the 9-12 delivery window I chose. 🤔 DH still hasn't left work. I'm annoyed. I know is bosses and coworkers appreciate his work ethic and I'm proud of him, but dude. The weight of the service's needs do not rest on your shoulders alone. You've already stayed an hour later than your obligation, I think it's ok to leave the rest of the work to the call person. Especially given that the extra help you're providing is very highly unlikely to be reciprocated the next time you're on call on the weekend.

Good morning, ladies. I'm feeling so much better today, thankfully. I had brunch reservations with a couple of my friends tomorrow, but the weather is supposed to be iffy, so we're going to lunch today instead. I'm heading to my friend's house in a few minutes.

I love that my girls are old enough to bundle themselves up for the snow. They just went out into the snow and I didn't have to help at all! We got 17.5" on Thursday and then got another couple of inches last night, so they have plenty of snow to play in now.

DH took DD1 out in the snow this morning. I got some cute pics and bundled up DD2 for a few pics too.
Now they're both napping.
We don't have much planned for the rest of the weekend. I wanted to bring DD1 to get valentine's for her preschool. And maybe get away for some me time.

We're here. Brutal night for both kids. Ds wouldn't go to sleep til after 10, dd was up at 3 and 7. Dh is having friends over so I'm solo with both of them today. Other then that not much happening.

We had a play date this morning, and now both kids are down for naps!🙌🏻
I am catching up on Project Runway Jr then probably going to do some work. Nothing exciting for this weekend. DH has to work, so solo parenting for me.

Hello!

N had swimming this morning, and then we rode out to the aquarium. The aquarium had a bunch of Valentine's Day activities inside, and we wandered around for a while. MH had to stop at Harbor Freight for something, and I think we'll be heading home since both boys are asleep. MH has some stuff to do outside when we get home, and I have to do laundry.

hikingmama222 G is constantly on and off while nursing. It doesn't matter if there is a lot going on or if we're in his room quiet. I'm so sorry about the reverse cycling.

This is all new to me since DD was FF. He still doesn't go more than 2 hrs between "snacks".

My in laws had gotten the stomach bug yesterday but felt well enough to drive home today. Ophelia is back to her normal self and thankfully no one else is sick yet.

We took a family trip to Target then played outside since it's in the 50s here today. Nothing too exciting.

I keep saying I'm going to eat healthy to lose these final 10 baby pounds but Papa John's is calling my name right now.

Both kids were napping so I snuck away for a pedicure. Way overdue, my feet are so gross. My heals have never been this dry.

DS2 is refusing to nap and keeps crying. He stops when i massage his gums, but he also isn't burping after feeds, so not sure if its teething or gas or both or nothing.

Spoke too soon again. DS1 faded quickly by lunchtime. He's trying to rally so hard, poor guy.

His temp isn't high (100.6), so I haven't called, but he just wants to lay around. He's pointing to the right side of his face and saying it hurts there when he chews and swallows. His right ear was the one infected this time, so I suppose that makes sense. I feel so bad for him.

Thank you! No nap, but I put him to bed an hour earlier than normal. He's already woken up once, but I remembered to give him some gas drops with that wake up.

This could be completely anecdotal but my DS has a virus where the only symptom was high temp/ lethargy/ lack of appetite for at least a week. No rashes or anything else. It got so high he would shiver. Pedi just said as long as it comes down with meds then he's okay. It was gone and he was fine but he never know what he had.

For sure, you're right. But he also has strep throat, so he definitely has a bacterial infection. Also also, he was treated with a 7 day course of abx for an ear infection 2 weeks ago. We waited the 3-4 days that a typical viral ear infection will resolve in before treating it, so it was most likely bacterial. The fact that it recurred within a week of treatment has the pedi already beliving this one is bacterial as well, and likely abx resistant.

Anyway, this all probably sounds argumentative and I realize no1reallycurr what's going on with my kid, so I apologize. He's going on almost a week with a fever and complaints of head/throat pain for the second time in as many weeks. I'm frustrated for him. 😩

I gotta figure out how to stop these 4am party sessions... ever since DD realized she can make a lot of noise with her mouth (aka screeching for fun), she has been waking up at 4a doing it. Girl, mama wants to sleeeeeep.
