I just spent the last two hours cutting out sugar cookies, frosting them and decorating them with my children. And then we signed valentines' cards for their classes. Because I thought what a nice rainy day afternoon it would be to spend that time together in the kitchen.
At this moment, DS is crying, DD is pouting, the dog is hiding after eating half a tray of raw cut out cookies from a baking sheet.
I will be putting up a load of laundry and getting a glass of wine in about 10 minutes. We are getting a nor'easter and supposed to get around 8-14 inches, today into tomorrow. By coincidence, I am not working tomorrow.

Oh, and the shoes we just bought for Dom stink SO BAD. Like it stunk up our entire house when he came home from school Friday. They must have gotten wet with all the rain we had last week. I need to figure out how to fix this because I am not throwing away a $100+ pair of shoes.

It's really coming down out there. We did Valentines' cards today. The kindergartener did great. I did my preschooler's cards since he made two and then decided the rest were for himself. So I just put the names on a box of cards and called it good.

We did Valentines today too. DD had about 20 to do and DS has over 30. His prek class is huge. I wanted him to write the names by himself as much as possible but good grief that's way too much for a 4 year old.
I wash and dry sneakers all the time. Vinegar stinks terribly but does wonders for stinky laundry like shoes, bath mats, dish towels, etc. Just a nice splash, I don't measure.
