Climbing back into bed after the first wake up, mh is home so he is getting R back to sleep. Hopefully I can fall asleep quickly and not lay here for the next hour trying.
Dd has her two week appointment this morning. Then chilling with my bff all day. Tonight is fil's fancy retirement party in the city. I'm excited for the food.
I'm getting a bit anxious about dd's weight check. I just want to know! I hope it's gone up enough that I can stop tracking her feeds. But I just realized her feedings started to drop off around Friday which is when she started to get a little stuffy and sneezy so now I'm worried.
ellabee, woo hoo on the sleep, I also got a 4.5 hour go last night and feel great for it. Sorry about daycare being shut though. peaseblossom55, judyblume14, meeggaannw, hope you all get some sleep. lakegirl, FX for the check in.
M is in Nursery today and I managed to get a nap in, F settles better when M is not here mostly because he's not getting cars of food pushed at him. I'm kinda hoping its also down to F settling a bit more as we approach 4 weeks. Night times are still okay and he does at least settle in his own bed after feeds which is more than his brother ever did. We're registering F today so I have to get my butt in to gear so we don't miss the appointment.
I'm tired. L is super congested so he hasn't really been sleeping well. No fevers or anything, so just keeping an eye on it for now. I definitely feel like I'm getting a cold. Boo.
ILs are here one more full day. My brother &SIL are coming over and making a big breakfast before we take them to the airport. They were up to visit SIL's parents for Chinese new year, and her mom makes the most amazing food. I'm really hoping they brought us some leftovers and/or some egg rolls for the freezer.

I was able to sleep for an extra hour after shipping H and DD off to work /daycare. I must be exhausted because we 've got some crazy wind going on right now. It's really loud and I didn't stir at all.

W only woke up once last night! I'm pretty sure we went to bed sometime between 11 and midnight so the first stretch was 3.5-4hrs and the second was 3 hours. I'm thinking it was a success to put him in his crib and then not sleep in there.

Put DD in her crib last night at 7pm. She slept until I woke her around 10:45pm attempting to do a dream feed. I think tonight I'll try bedtime routine again, but not wake her. She was then up every 2 hours until 6am, so who knows.
I'm so jealous of everyone's naps. DS is 2.5 years old and doesn't nap anymore. I've taken one 20 min nap since my c section 3.5 weeks ago. Boo! Thankful for coffee though!

ellabee, hooray for sleep, boo for closed daycare.
GL to everyone with appointments. We have B's month appointment today and I can't wait to find out how much he has gained. I think he's exceeded birth weight. We'll see.
I hope everything goes well at the pedi today lakegirl. For some reason my pedi wasn't concerned about C's drop in weight at the hospital and just had us do a 4 week check. My MWs want me to come to lactation circle every Tuesday to weigh her so I'll see what she gained tomorrow. Hoping to be back at birthweight so I can stop worrying.
weeklyplanner, I'm sorry you can't nap! I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't. Also, great news on 2lbs up from BW!
I'm working on 3-4 hours sleep here. C didn't fall asleep til after midnight and slept for 4 hours but my dogs woke me up at 330 to go out. The fact that they came to me instead of H is annoying since he's been walking them since she came home. After the 430 wake up it was basically game over and we just barely dozed on and off since. Hoping for a nice nap soon, then maybe run out and do some errands.
judyblume14 solidarity, mama. DD nursed nonstop from like 1-11pm yesterday. It was brutal.
peaseblossom55 DD has hated being swaddled, but I remembered what you said about the NICU docs swaddling with hands up, and OMG, I think she might be napping?? In her bassinet? Without screaming?? I think maybe you just changed my life!!
This made me actually lol. It's funny how baby sleep can be so life changing. It's so true though. I'm making a mental note of this hands up swaddle!

The swaddle that's gotten me the most sleep has been one arm down, one bent with her hand by her face. C loves her hands, but both up meant she broke free too quickly. Last night proved that it was not the miracle I wanted it to be since she didn't go back in her bassinet after first wake up, but it did get me the 9 hr night before and 4 hours last night so I feel like maybe it's progress. Also, I've left pandora lullaby station on and that seems to help a lot.
So I feel like I'm on a weekly dramatic tv show. Like "this week on a very special ashtogs crazy life.," because there's something like every week it seems.. My sitter called me, she's 14 weeks pregnant and miscarrying my heart is so broken for her. I told her to bring her dd over to play with L so she can go do her apt and ultrasound and get a break. Ugh. So sad
The kid that is basically guaranteed to nap after one of her morning feeds WILL NOT nap for more than 15 mins before she needs to be nursing again. I see a pattern here. 1 night of sleep, pay for it for a few days.
