I got a first stretch of sleep from B of 4.5 hrs - his longest yet! Today will be spent managing both kiddos while DH goes to shovel us and our tenants out. Daycare is closed (again), so boo to that. I'm over all this snow.
DH mixed up the twins last night. Haha- fist of many in sure!
Hardly any sleep last night. We have determined the formula is giving her especially major gas and tummy issues so we stopped the formula overnight. So now need to talk to pedi about another kind to try.

At the hospital for my induction! Pit was started about 7:00am. So far I feel nothing. We'll see how this goes, I am a bit paranoid about it taking forever because I'm only 38 weeks. But the Dr's and nurses don't seem worried. I'll keep you all updated!

I'm pretty much dead exhausted. R will not sleep anywhere but on my chest. She gets pretty good stretches if I let her and try to just doze off propped up. But last night I tried the RNP, bassinet, and dock a tot. She lasted an hour in the dock a tot with many shushes and resettling. And my nipples hurt even more now that I'm dealing with enforcement. The left is scabbed over and both just hurt. I think R has a shallow latch, it's not fun right now.
flyinghorses6 hang in there. I always say, I'm not worried about labor and delivery. It's one day, plus drugs. The weeks afterward of recovery and trying to get the hang of breastfeeding, etc. that's the hard part. Hang in there.
I'm sorry R isn't sleeping, flyinghorses6. Is your husband still home with you? Can he take some shifts overnight occasionally?
Good luck also, to everyone who is flying solo with 2 today. Yikes!
I hope your contractions and cramps mean something, staz! Have fun at your last day of work!
I hope your pediatrician can help you out on a better solution for formula @jacks605. Gassy newborns are so sad. And create so much sleep deprivation.
We had an issue with my in-laws yesterday. I'll spare you, maybe, but I'm still kind of mad about it. And it's giving me all sorts of anxiety about them watching F while we're in the hospital. If we have to stay for more than 24 hours, and C is an easy baby (lol), I'm thinking of just sending MH home and flying mostly solo. I'm legitimately thinking they will disregard all advice and instructions we give them and just let F do whatever he wants. And you know, he's 18-months old! He doesn't really know what's good for him at this stage in life!
It's not helping my anxiety in leaving him. And I think MH is mad at me for getting upset about it. Dude.
We're going to visit great grandma today, and then returning home to continue to work on getting life ready for whenever this little munchkin decides to show up. Everyone is starting to tell me "tell her to wait one day because you don't want her to come this day because of xyz." I am telling her no such thing - she can come as soon as she wants!
Good luck monicageller! It took me a couple hours to feel the pitocin, and then it felt like my belly was getting hard -- uncomfortable but not painful. Hour #4 was when it really kicked in.
flyinghorses6 LO also kind of hates her bassinet. She's sleeping like a rock right now in the pnp, so I'm considering trying that in the MOTN. I could sleep on the couch. If it's successful, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat because our glider is comfortable...but not that comfortable.
shawnabm1320, I hate the "Well you don't want to have her this day or that day because *insert bullshit reason here*. Yeah, no. There's ONE day I legitimately don't want to have my kid (the anniversary of my mom's death) but any other day is fair game. She'll come when she's ready to come regardless of the day and that's all I have to say about that. People suck.
@nomnom- sorry for the csection news. My OB agreed to do a final U/S to check positions the morning of my section. Is that a possibility for you? Quick check and if A has moved change to plan B - induction for a vaginal delivery?
flyinghorses6- that was how we slept for the first week since getting in and out of bed wasn't comfortable for me. G will sleep in his EnP but O won't...hopefully switching formula helps this!
monicageller Good luck today!! Keep us updated if you can!
Well this baby is measuring just as big as DD. It's estimated at 9lb 3 oz. right now. I know that it could be off but DD actually measured smaller on her ultrasound than she did when she was born. That being said the doctor left it in my hands as far as when I want my cut off date to be but she didn't want me going past my due date. She said I could schedule for as early as Thursday. I am really still hoping for a VBAC so I scheduled it for next Tuesday the 21st since my OB will be at the hospital that day. I'm currently 3cm so I am progressing so I wanted to give it another week to try to let my body do it's thing. Feeling lots of feels and hoping this baby decides to make it's way out within the next week.
Hang in there flyinghorses6. I hope R starts sleeping for longer stretches soon.
I am over pregnancy today. I'm especially annoyed about how difficult it is to put on compression socks when nine months pregnant. My feet are swelling badly so I really have to wear them when sitting at my desk all day.
Also, they were forecasting a winter storm for today and I was anticipating another snow day, but it fizzled overnight. So now I'm unexpectedly at work. I'm trying to convince myself that I can do this for 2 more weeks. 9 more mornings...

pivot fingers crossed that baby decides to come on it own!
Thanks everyone! My update: Dr came in to check me around 9:30 and I was 2-3 and she broke my water. I'm still not really feeling my contractions. But now that my water has been broken I'm assuming they will start being uncomfortable soon.
ETA: Dr told the nurse to check me again in two hours and if I haven't progressed much they might do a foley.
AFM, last night was super uncomfortable but the pressure is gone again. Also now I have a nice big hemorrhoid which is BS because when I was constipated from the iron, nothing. Now that I've been regular and no issues, hemorrhoid. As if sitting isn't already uncomfortable.
This is officially week 40. Wednesday is 40w bang on and my next midwife appointment. I hope she says head is engaged this week. My belly is totally lower and not holding up my boobs anymore so that has to mean something. I just really don't want a 3rd late baby to have to be forced out of me, nor do I want to be induced. This baby needs to get on board now, I've been patient up until now.

Fx your last week of work flies by staz! Hope a formula switch is the ticket to fixing tummy issues @jacks605. Sorry for the c-section news nomnom. My co-worker had her baby flip literally minutes before her surgery. Maybe you can request a last minute check? monicageller good luck today!!! You'll do great!

cosmicav all my sympathies for idiot comments coming your way. The last day at work, this lady came up to me and shouted "you're not going to make it!!!" Uhhhh... what? Like, am I about to die or something? flyinghorses6 this lo will also only sleep if I'm holding her. DD1 was never like this, so I'm at a complete loss as what to do. Let me know if you discover tips or tricks.
