GTKY: Where is your favorite vacation spot? Where is somewhere you haven't been but would love to go?

How old is LO? 5 months today

How is breastfeeding going? Going well. DS has started pushing at my boob like he's trying to massage more milk out and it's kind of adorable.

How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Going ok. I usually do all right pumping what he drinks, especially after talking to MH about not giving him a bottle when I'm going to be home soon. I've been using a Medela PISA, and while it's been working fine, I've been starting to wonder if a Spectra would be more comfortable.

What are your short-term and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? I'd like to make it to a year. And after a few days of coming up a bit short pumping vs what he drank, I also added a short-term goal of making it to 6 months without having to supplement.

How are nights? They had been ok: going down around 7-9, with a wake up around 1-3, then up for the day between 6-7. But last night he was up every 2-3 hours. No fun.

Any teeth/signs of teething? Don't think so, although the drooling has ramped up again recently.

GTKY: Where is your favorite vacation spot? Aruba! We went there for our honeymoon and went back September '15. Absolutely love it there. Where is somewhere you haven't been but would love to go? I'm dying to go to Ireland. My parents, 2 of my 3 brothers, and some extended family went August '15, but since we had already planned our trip to Aruba I couldn't make another vacation work so close together.

How old is LO? 13 weeks

How is breastfeeding going? Surprisingly well! I didn't know what to expect being a FTM. My only complaint is he will latch and unlatch multiple times throughout a nursing session. I don't know why... he had a tongue tie but we had it clipped.

How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I'm pumping 3x at work. I wish I could drop down to twice but I don't think I could without supplementing (which I'm still contemplating). I think I'm the only one using the pumping room right now! It's nice going whenever I want and hogging the fridge space.

What are your short-term and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Short term goal was 12 weeks (my maternity leave) which I met. Now I'm not so sure... maybe continue to pump until DS is 6mo? Right now I'm just taking it one week at a time.

How are nights? He wakes up 1-2x per night. He's usually in bed around 8, wake up at 230 and up for the day at 630. If he wakes up twice it's around 130 & 430. I can sometimes hear him moving around other times but he's not crying and eventually self soothes.

Any teeth/signs of teething? Nope, not looking forward to this!

Questions/AW/Rant? Question about combining pumped milk - can I pump fresh milk into a bottle that already contains refrigerated milk?

GTKY: Where is your favorite vacation spot? Where is somewhere you haven't been but would love to go? Favorite - tropical beach! My H is not a beach person so we haven't taken a beach vacation lately but I want to again some day. I have only been to Europe once and there are so many other countries I would love to see.

You can combine, but I believe I remember reading that you're supposed to combine when they are similar temperatures. So technically fresh pumped milk should be allowed to cool before combining with refrigerated milk.

With that said, I have poured 5 min old fresh pumped milk into a bottle with milk that had been refrigerated a few hours and it was fine. Looked and smelled ok when it got used the next day, and DS drank it no problem. I try not to do this, but have had to at work a couple times.

Remember to always label combined milk with the date/time from the oldest milk in the mix.

How old is LO? 3 1/2 months (15 weeks)

How is breastfeeding going? Good. Over the weekend it seemed like she was nursing more than normal but she's back to her usual routine now.

What are your short-term and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? I BF DD2 until she was 2 so I'd like to do that again for Hazel. No real short term goals.

How are nights? Weekend was rough. Her sister was sick so it just threw us off her routine and she was up 2-3 times in the night. Glad to say she was back to one 5am wake up last night.

Any teeth/signs of teething? It actually looks like she has a corner of a bottom tooth in but I'm not convinced that's what it is. She's only 3 months so it's super early but she won't give me a good look so I can't tell for sure.

GTKY: Where is your favorite vacation spot? Where is somewhere you haven't been but would love to go?
My favorite place is Grand Turk. We've been there a few times on cruises and I just love their beaches. So beautiful. I want to go to Europe and just be free to go all over.
