Last night I booked a ticket to go see my BFF and her DS next month. I'm so excited! I haven't seen them since this time last year and she'll be about 36w pregnant with DS2. I'm going to help her maybe sort and wash baby clothes and put together freezer meals and that kind of stuff.
Happy Valentines Day! DD blocked the door while I was trying to leave for work. DH had to come get her. She screamed Mama and cried hysterically while I left. MOTY.
Happy Valentine's Day! J was fever and vomit free all night so we dropped him at DC this morning. He was all smiles and excited for his baby yoga class.

Last night my DD opened her V-day gift and I got her a Fragrant Jewel bath bomb. It has a ring inside! She loved it and the ring is so pretty! Only $14.

I hate mornings like those hugs mama.
Thanks! I'm sure she was fine after I walked out the door, but that is the craziest she has ever been when I had to go to work.
lgsdesigner, it's pretty much the worst. I like working full time, but I hope I'm not screwing her up in the long run. I'm sure I'm not, but that's the kind of stuff that I think about.

My mother was a full time worker and also went to nursing school. She tried so hard, but growing up there were things she had to miss and many times when I felt a little sad. That being said-- I had and still have serious respect for her because not only did she do it to care for her children, but she also taught me HUGE independence and responsibility which made me the strong woman I am today.

Your mom sounds like a bad ass. My mom got her masters degree when I was 2 and worked full time as well. So I totally get it. My mom always taught me to rely on myself and bitches get shit done, basically. My dad was not involved in my childhood (he was around but that's about it), so I'm glad C has a dad that is very hands on and very involved. Especially, since I can't always be there.
honda13 sorry about the tough morning. I hate mornings like those. The working mom guilt is so awful. I cried all the way to work last time DS did that but the bottom line is that I am helping to provide for him. It is so hard. Hang in there

Fun! And, by the sound of it, solo trip? Even more fun, I'm jealous

Yup! I'll leave early Sat morning before she's up and come back late Mon when she's already asleep. 3 days to myself and a chance for DH to see how it goes without me.

seventythree - As a wife of a weightlifter, I get it. He's cooking off weekly meals all the time and when I was pregnant and I smelled the chicken and sweet potatoes being cooked off I literally locked myself in our bedroom until he was done. My gag reflex was real.
