I am enjoying hot coffee thanks to the good people at Sesame Street. My MIL is out of town this week, so I took the day off to hang out with my smallest Valentine. We went to the store and bought H some Swedish Fish and some break and bake cookie dough so we can have warm cookies after dinner tonight. I bought DS a balloon and he has yet to let go of it about an hour after receiving it. The sun is also shining brilliantly, and it's supposed to be in the 40s again today, so I think there will be some outside playtime as well later, yay!
Oh runty! I'm glad you show up on occasion to remind me that someone creepy is always watching and reading our posts and that this place is public. Happy Valentine's Day to you!
Moving along... jillywilly, cookie dough sounds delicious, but if I bought some, I'd just eat it without actually baking the cookies! DS seems to be feeling better but can't go to daycare today so H is hanging with him today. I can only watch so many MMC episodes before going crazy.

Happy Valentine's Day! We never really celebrate this day, but it's just the girls and I, so I told them that we are going on a date. DD1 picked IKEA. Haha. At least it's cheap.
Last day of solo parenting, so there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are all pretty happy today.

J fell asleep in front of her door last night. Here's a cute pic of her toes under the door.
She was very happy getting a couple presents this morning(a book, tshirt to wear today, cup, and loofa) and we are going to celebrate with some friend later. Happy Valentine's Day!!
9 years ago today my H and I became bf/gf. 5 years ago he asked me to marry him. Tonight we're celebrating with a family date at our favorite BBQ restaurant. I sent him a man crate full of bacon stuff, so I'm excited for him to receive it at work. I also put together a basket of Minnie stuff for G and can't wait to give it to her when I get home.
Hope everyone gets some chocolates, flowers, or adorable handmade toddler valentine cards today!

Happy Valentine's Day from my the Horrible kids!
The boys loved the balloons, and the books, and the crappy toys they got for each other.
DH and the boys made me a new cork board for hanging up their art.
We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and DH took the boys to their respective schools with Valentine's for their friends.
I brought in heart shaped fudge for my coworkers and my team leader is trying to get me to leave work early and go see Rogue One with DH at the fancy theatre down the street (the one that serves booze).
And tonight we're taking the boys to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner, which is where we took LBB on our first Valentine's Day as parents.
I was parent helper at preschool today so it was fun being there and helping them hand out their Valentines. My helper day means it's DS's special day so he was pretty excited he got to be teacher helper on Valentine's Day.
Heart shaped banana pancakes for lunch and I'll make heart shaped pizza for supper! We might even treat ourselves and drive to a nearby town that has a DQ for dessert.
I woke up to new earrings from a local jeweler (who has recently become one of the biggest in Canada I believe!). Was not expecting that or a gift at all..oh H pulled a fast one over on me.

Happy Valentines ladies! We don't do much for this holiday. I got DH a card and his favorite candy. I got C one of those plastic tubes filled with M&Ms and a big heart on top and a book, she loved them. I got a cookie at work. It wasn't that good and I regret eating it.
Other than that it's quiet at work and I'll be going home to finish painting the powder room that's all tore apart.

alayne926, sometimes I prefer when H and I are able to do lunch during the week rather than a normal dinner date. It's so nice to see each other during the day when we normally don't!

Preschool newsletter specifically stated to do simple cards... Guess who showed up with a box of store bought cards while the rest of the kids brought Pinterest masterpieces? Luckily A is far more concerned with what she receives than what she gives. Haha.
I have not done a single thing for Valentine's this year. Luckily, my first box of Hello Fresh arrived last night, so I will attempt to make dinner. This comes from someone who eats cereal, or eggs, or something not involving cooking for dinner, ever.
Ts daycare made these gorgeous painted canvases with the kids and sent him home a present from the teachers. Made me super glad I did gifts for the teachers. School was awesome, our kids did an identity fair which is basically like a science fair but the kids get to show case themselves. It was a huge hit.

I love the identity fair idea! How old are your students?
