So after doing some reading and being frustrated with my 2.5 year olds obsession of having his fingers/toys in his mouth I'm thinking of getting one of these chewable necklaces.
His fingers get so raw and peel and he just keeps biting until they crack! He use to have a pacifier but was done with it shortly before turning two.
I even tried the gross tasting nail polish to get him to stop but that hasn't really worked as well. He only does this when sitting anywhere if he's playing and active it's no problem. It's watching a show, being in the stroller or car seat.
Anyone have experience like this? Wondering if it's worth ordering/trying it
I know someone who found it really useful for their school aged child. But the first thing they ordered ended up being huge....so maybe just investigate actual size before ordering?
I'd be nervous about a 2.5 year-old in a necklace.
I bought some spiky, slap-bracelet type things for my 4 year-old because he wouldn't stop picking at his face. I searched on amazon "fidget bracelet."
They have the snap so it just comes off if pulled on really, but I think I wouldn't leave it on him when he's playing, mostly when he's sitting, in the car or at home
