DH and I went ahead with our Valentine's plans and I actually enjoyed sex the most I have since the babies were born. Maybe the decrease in nursing is helping me out?
At one point we notice the cat is hyperfocused on an area by the couch. We take a look with a flashlight and sure enough there's a mouse. We managed to flush it out with a broom to where the cat could grab it. I'm glad we caught it but it was 1:30 am before I got to bed and there is still clean-up left to do.
DS wakes up at 2:30 to nurse. DD2 wakes up a little before 4 has a feed and then proceeds to vomit it all back up all over herself, myself and our bed. At least the fresh milk was the only thing in her belly. I slept with her on the recliner in the nursery for the rest of the night which is not a good sleep for me. She didn't keep any of her feed down this morning either, poor baby. At least I was prepared with a towel this time. I am not looking forward to today.
Well both kiddos just had their shots. 2 in the arms for DS and 5 shots for DD, 1 in each arm, 1 in one leg and 2 in the other. They gave her an extra, the DTAP I think, as they can have it anytime 6 months after the first dose, but they can wait until 18 months. So she gave it today and then at 18 months she'll only need 2 shots total. DD cried for a minute or two but was ok after that. DS rocked it, I thought he'd be super nervous. He might have been on the inside but didn't show it and he didn't flinch or anything so that was good. I was mostly worried about him over DD.
Also, I think I just need to go to public health from now on for our vaccines. That's what we did when DS was a baby but then the clinic started doing them so it's been easier to do them there with our well child checks. But they don't really say much there, hand you a form and are on their way. The gal at public health is SO much more thorough in telling you every shot, what to watch for in terms of any reaction, etc. She explained everything so much better.
I had my first session today, and I feel like it went well. The counselor gave me names and places for play groups around the area so I can look them up/attend/possibly make local mom friends!
I've been sending links of snow blowers on clearance to H all morning. lol I'm hoping he cracks.

H has started keeping milk down and is currently napping on me. Fortunately the vomiting phase on this one is short! L is almost back to normal but his stools haven't fully solidified. Now I feel like I'm just waiting to see who is next.
I'm feeling queasy but at least DH is home and I was able to take a nap.

I've started watching This Is Us. I'm hooked. I have only watched 3 episodes so I have to avoid your discussions until I catch up, but I have a feeling that won't be long
It took us FOREVER to get out of the house today. So long that we only had 30mins at the library before Lu's dr appt. C was pretty good but omg the listening lately. So bad. Like he doesn't hear me (but can hear a candy wrapper open from 10 miles away so it's not his actual hearing...). He is so easily distracted and trying to get him to do things for himself (get dressed, clean up, etc) takes so much longer than doing it myself, but he has to learn. So we move slooooooow. However in the cutest move ever, when the dr went to look in Lu's ears he yelled "please don't hurt my baby!!" ❤ and when she got her shots he came over after and held her hand and made her laugh. Those moments. My heart can hardly take them.

I woke up with a stomach bug and major sadness that my baby turned one today and I couldn't snuggle with her because I don't want her to get sick. I've been sleeping and working from home all day. I'm so excited to see her tonight and give her a cupcake. She's going to love it. I just hope I can find the energy to hang out with her some.

I'm so sorry to all that have stomach bugs. That's so miserable!
Last night of solo adulting. DH returns tomorrow morning. I'm super excited except for having to share the bed again. I sleep so much better when he's gone- I can sprawl all out, it's great.

Thanks auchick913. DD1 just coated her bed so we're now 3/3. At least DH is dealing with this one while I get DD2 in bed. I also don't feel bad since I did the vast majority of both babies' mess, including hand washing DS' car seat.
I think I live in a bubble. Or under a rock. I honestly didn't even realize going to a public health office for shots was a thing. I've always done that kind of stuff at the doctors office, which I thought was standard practice. I've never known people to do it differently around here.

I don't think you're living under a rock. I also don't know anyone IRL that has gotten immunizations at public health. Actually I assumed it was just a Canadian thing.
trtlcrzytkford216 my town only did it at public health until last year, sometime around DD's birth. It's definitely nice to do it right at well child appointments at the clinic. Much more convenient. I know the bigger town I delivered in does it at the clinic. I'm not sure why our clinic (affiliated) didn't do it before. But after yesterday, I'm thinking I prefer public health. Mainly because it's not just a hurried part of your appointment, you're there just for the shots so it's all about that.

I think it varies by doctors around here. One of H's coworkers has a kid around DD's age and they get their vaccines at their doctor's office. But my doctor does not do vaccines. It's weird
