I'm thankful DD is such a happy, content baby. I've been repeating this today because she was up every 2 hours last night. At least she's happy or sleeping all day....
I would expect food at the party because I always give my guests a meal at a party. However, I've learned this is a regional thing on my BMB for DS. I think in other areas people often just do cake, etc.

I am thankful for my mother. Actually, I am thankful for my mom and dad but my mom is the only one coming up this weekend so my focus is on her. Anyways, I am thankful that we have such a good relationship and that she is able to afford to come up here so often to visit. And thankful that she actually wants to come up here to help with the kids, cleaning, and running errands.

ellabee, I went to a 3rd birthday party from 10am-noon. They had bagels and fruit and coffee and juice. I wouldn't expect a full meal, but at least some snacks.
Our heat is our and the HVAC company that out Home Warranty company gave us contact in for has the most horrible reviews online. Awesome.

I am thankful that even though I'm trying really hard not to bug him in the MOTN, my H has been helping me a lot between 10pm and 2am when A is all riled up...
I'm thankful that Mh took the baby downstairs from 1-6. Less thankful that the sick toddler woke up at 4 so then I was getting coughed on and he kept elbowing my very full boobs. Also, mh has Monday off! Score.
Chilling at home with the sickies today. I'd feel bad dragging them around in the cold weather. I've been pretty productive today so hopefully I'll continue the streak. Dishwasher and kitchen done. Laundry going. Trash and recyclables done. The bedroom and bathroom tidying is done.
Mom life: I've been making my tea super hot so it's still warm later when I finally get to finish it 😂

Two night of e sleeping from about 1:30-7:30. There was some fussing and grunting but so grateful. I hope it becomes the new normal. I'm really grateful for that.
I have no plans for today. Hopefully a nap though at some point.
Mh is freaking me out. He's starting a new job in April. The original plan was give a months notice in March so he could wrap up all his cases and jump right into the new job. The other day he was saying maybe just two weeks and take two weeks off to help with the munchkins. I can get behind that.
Today he's texting me that if he gives notice around now that two weeks would carry him into the beginning of March so we would still have insurance for the month. On one hand a month of help is appealing. However a month is a long time plus the money factor. His argument is that we have savings and would be fine. I'm team just because we have it doesn't mean we should spent it. He says he is "preparing a budget presentation" for me tonight.
I'll be over here hyperventilating into a bag. I don't handle big life changes well and always spiral out of control on all the what ifs.
I'm thankful that our car just had to get our battery replaced in our car and it wasn't something more.
Otherwise, today can go to hell. We rushed to get the kids ready to go for my parents to come get us (they have the car seats because the car is still in the shop...picking it up today.). And they said they would be here at 10-1030. It is 1120 and I texted my dad at 1100 and they said they would be here in 30 minutes. A phone call would have been nice.

I'm thankful to be going to Denver for the weekend! I've been going a little stir crazy. I wish the weather would be nicer there but whatever.
As far as a toddler party, if it ends at noon, I'd guess they aren't serving lunch. They may have snacks so that the cake isn't the only thing their kid is eating.

lakegirl, a month with Dh around sound sheavenly but I would share your concerns about dipping into savings if not absolutely necessary. I am very curious about his presentation. Sounds like he has put thought into it so maybe his plan is viable after all. Keep us updated!
tex, sucks about the recall. Is the company going to replace it? That's a pain in the ass but I hope it's an easy fix. Also, I would be irritated at my parents as well. Getting two kids ready is such a stress and a pain. Knowing you had more time would have been helpful.

Despite my exhaustion I have managed to be relatively productive. Took B with me to target to pick up new socks for DS1. Laundry has been started and I also unloaded and re-loaded the dishwasher. Currently eating dinasour shaped chicken nuggets with a ton of ketchup while watching Catfish. A nap is up next!

I think we're on a pretty tight schedule at night, now. I couldn't get W in bed until midnight so I hoped he'd be up at 5 instead of 4. Nope. But he did give me until 4:30. And he was up at 7 in the dot as usual. If my lungs would clear up, life would be great!
Motherhood has ruined me. I'm introducing ds to Balto, one of my favorite movies from childhood. It's new on Netflix now! I'm having all sorts of feelings about cartoon dogs, let alone that the sick kids don't have any medicine. Why doesn't anyone like poor Balto?! He's all alone. Those town dogs are so mean.
heybulldog56 Britax is gonna replace it for free thank god.
And my parents got here right after I posted. They figured they would let us relax a little and give us extra time since we weren't completely ready last time they got here at that time. A heads up phone call still would have been nice.

R's 3 birthday party redo is today since he was sick last week. 2 people can't make it but that's ok because we are going to have a play date next week instead.
It's at an indoor playplace with trampolines. I'm very excited that they'll be able to run off some energy.
I'm thankful that R and I have such good friends to enjoy the day with! I love his best friends moms, so it's awesome to get together

This is hands down in my top 3 for favorite childhood movies. I introduced it to DS1 and we basically watched it in repeat one day. When the polar bears shake the water out of their fur? By far my favorite scene. They're too cute!
Booked the playspace for DDs birthday in March. I also ordered the invites. Thanks for the feedback on the food. I think we'll end up doing light brunch fare and cake.
I also finally ordered a bunch of stuff with my Amazon completion discount. I bought some 3-6 month stuff because I can just tel that we're going to be there sooner than I expect. B unofficially weighed in at 10lbs 4oz today on my baby scale. Man he's tanking up fast!
