Forgive me parenting, for I have never learned to clean.
I used to surface clean often enough that it wasn't really an issue, but it's been too long and now I'm in over my head.
Issue #1: Water(?) stains on the shower hardware. I've tried microfibre cloth and cleaning paste, then scrubbing bubbles, then surface cleaner, back to cloth and cleaning paste and finger nails. I'm making a dent in it but there has got to be a better way.
Issue #2: there's pockmark-like things and small cuts in the linoleum. How do I clean that?
Did you use CLR on the shower? Or Bar Keeper's Friend?
No. I probably should get some CLR to try. We definitely have calcium in the water. I usually use denture cleaning tabs in our kettle etc, but that's not so easy in the shower...
I don't know what bar keeper's friend is. Will google

Blue dawn + white vinegar is my to-go for all things shower, including hard water stains. 1 part each in a spray bottle, spray it down, let it sit a while, then scrub/wipe/rinse. It smells strong, but works well.

I love this combination. As for shower heads or faucets, I've diluted vinegar in plastic bags and tied it around the fixture and let it soak. It worked well to remove the grime.
I consider myself fairly good at cleaning but the pock marks in the linoleum stump me. They collect tons of dirt and are impossible to clean. I've been trying to convince my H to install laminate flooring in the house that we RENT because I hate it so much.

We have linoleum in our kitchen/laundry and the two bathrooms. I can't wait to replace it. Luckily we only have a few pockmarks in each room. There's one gouge but its in the laundry room basically underneath the dryer.
Honestly I just swiffer wet jet and don't give the pockmarks any special treatment. They're very small though.
For linoleum, I've only found two things that work.. Hands and knees scrubbing - spray, scrub with scrubber, wipe dry with microfiber. PITA. I did it last when I was 41 weeks pregnant with DD (about 4 years ago), or using a hard floor scrubber. And then said F this noise and ripped it out.
dc2london is wise. Paper towels + vinegar. We have really hard water, and that worked just as well as CLR did for us.

Ours typically gets the same treatment. Replacing it would be a priority if we weren't in a rental. DD doesn't move around and DS has been walking for a while, but he's started toileting on his own so I'm feeling a need to deep-clean the bathroom floor.

Is the bathroom large? Maybe some hand scrubbing with diluted bleach, especially around the toilet area?

I've noticed this. I'll swiffer and then spill something. I use direct cleaning spray and wipe it with a paper towel or rag and it comes up looking dirty, even though it just got cleaned. Linoleum is the worst.

It's tiny. That's basically what I've been doing, but with cleaning paste because it's the first thing I use on everything. I'm kind of scared of bleach, honestly. I don't have any ATM but it's in some of my other cleaning products.

Bleach is your friend! Heavy duty spray bottle, I think 1 part bleach to 3 parts water. Just get any rugs and other items out, spray, let it sit, wipe with a rag. Obviously a white rag or one you don't mind getting bleached.

I use vinegar over bleach on everything because I'm sloppy. It doesn't matter HOW hard I try, I swear something ends up a color it's not supposed to be and then I have to replace stuff.
I would be tempted to try to fill those marks in after they're clean? White crayon? Candle wax? I don't know if it would work, but that would bug the hell out of me.

That's why people would clean and then wax the floor.

I'm such a noob. Am I supposed to be waxing the floor?
