I have an almost 10 month old DD who I breastfeed. I SAH so she only used bottles when I was away for short periods of time. She used to be great at bottles. Now, she is refusing bottles and won't drink BM from a sippy. I don't know what happened!
I left her overnight last night and today due to a work trip and she didn't drink anything but some water and ate her usual solids 3x a day. We tried formula too and it was a no go.
I have a trip in two weeks where I will be gone from her for 3 nights. Any ideas? Should I cancel my trip?! I'm assuming going 4 days/3 nights with no milk at 10 months isn't optimal. 😢

Around this time, my daughter stopped drinking from bottles at daycare (she goes three days a week). We started sending bottles and sippy cups both. For quite a while, she didn't drink much at daycare (2-3 oz all day). Finally, she started drinking out of the sippy well and is back to regular milk intake.
Since you have two weeks, I'd try to get her used to the sippy cup. Maybe try different kinds to see if she likes some better than others? Sorry if that wasn't too helpful but just wanted to let you know we had a bottle and sippy strike around that age.

I don't know if this correlates, but my daughter just turned 10 months and isn't breastfeeding very often. How is she with breastfeeding? Just curious if it's a general attitude about drinking.

She's still all about the boob. She BFs 5-6 times a day. She was dropping sessions but recently added some back in.

i think this is pretty normal, especially since your LO doesn't drink expressed BM much. i work f/t, and with both my kids, when we tried to transition from a bottle to a sippy/straw cup at 12ish months, neither was into it. they only wanted to drink BM out of a bottle or directly from the breast. they would drink water out of a straw cup, no problem, and DS1 would even drink WCM out of a straw cup, but they were finicky about BM.
have you tried a straw cup? like a very simple one- for instance take n toss brand? have you tried offering the milk cold? or even mixing in some WCM with the BM and offering it cold?
if your LO is a decent eater of solids, it wouldn't be the end of the world if she went without BM for a few days. you could do a few days of WCM, if she likes it, or try to think of ways you could "disguise" the presence of BM but still get it into her while you're away-- for instance, mixing it into oatmeal or making a smoothie with it.
