I've been up, save for maybe a half hour, since 3:45. DS2 was up talking and I should have just shut the monitor off. Instead, I laid awake listening to it, sure it was going to turn into something more. It did, but not for another 45 minutes. I could have had 45 more minutes of blissful sleep. Alas.
The kids will go to daycare this morning and then I plan to be in full on (early) spring cleaning mode. Work won't need me, and honestly I'm kind of indifferent to picking up at all these next two weeks. I'll work if they're short, but I'm not stressing about it now that I know I'll be getting consistent FT hours here soon. Might as well take advantage of this lady little bit of SAH time and do all the things.
I'm working from home here in a bit. I added back in the zoloft-y milk yesterday, and DD2 was up every 2 hours again. I'm taking it out today and seeing what happens tonight. I'm so tired and my throat is so raw. I'm bummed out.
DH and I are both off today, though he is getting the man cold. We are taking both boys for check ups this afternoon which will be good. Then picking up a new cable box because I need my DVR if I can't stay awake past 9pm on week nights.
The baby is up about every 3 hours the last several nights. It's definitely the regression. My baby was born 10/19, edd 10/21 so we're right on time. Doctor visit later today. I was going to take both to the zoo today but I'm tired.
becole and sanibel21 O is up constantly too, but she has been for about a month. With all that's been going on here I've been really bad about only nursing to sleep, and anytime she wakes up she needs to nurse again to get back to sleep. So I think a lot of it is my fault.
Our friends came over and played yesterday all afternoon so Day 1 with DH out of town went fast. We have a playdate today then I go to my first therapy appt at 3 (I'll take the girls to daycare for a few hours). Awesome weather in the 70s again.

Yep. DD was born 10/16 and was due 10/24 and her sleep has been off the last 4 nights so we are smack in the middle of the two. Luckily she is only waking 1-2 times but we still aren't used to it.

I'm sorry sanibel21. I know that bums you out. I am not sure what the answer is but maybe there is a different med you could take? Or do they all have the same side effects?

sanibel21 I'm sorry the Zoloft seems to be having an effect on DD. Hope tonight is better sleep for you. fem Best wishes for your therapy appt. I really need to make one soon myself.
I did a stupid last night and thought we'd try to get DS to sleep with his arms out since he's been rolling more and seems to be really upset about the swaddle sack when he wakes up (we only ever use the sack at night). Kid was up every 1.5-2 hrs. That could have also been something else though - he spat up a lot, twice, last night. He hasn't done that at night in 3-4 weeks. No clue if we're gonna try again tonight but even with DH helping, I'm exhausted. Debating going into work today. z_z

Yes 12 3 5:30 7 are the norm right now. He was getting up 4:30 and 6:30 before.
My meeting is officially canceled and the guy wrote me that he agrees I should get more involved in the NICU first. Mr. P is off and still asleep. I want to go out later today. I need to clean and call turbo tax.

Good morning!
I'm off today but MH is working. Day care is closed so I have both boys home. G had trouble settling down last night; MH and I took turns rocking him until he finally fell asleep. He woke up around 4, and I went in to give him his pacifier and rocked him again. He slept for about another hour, then woke up to eat. N woke up at 6:15 and snuggled with me for a while. I feel like we've been up forever though, but it's only 9:00.
I think we'll go outside later this morning. It's supposed to be another gorgeous day, so we'll probably take a walk or something. I need to start cleaning a bit because my mom is coming this weekend. I think MH wants me to see if she'll come Saturday and stay over so he and I can go out without kids. I'll see if she wants to do that. It would be great if she does.

We are using the Merlin sleep suit and I can't say enough good things about it. Maybe worth a try? She's been in it for at least a month now b/c she was on the verge of rolling in her swaddle and I was uncomfortable with it.
The problem is I think the zoloft is really helping me. Which I know is so important. And I have no problem giving formula. It's just that I love nursing. And after nursing DD1 for 16 months, I just did not see this nursing journey ending this soon. So I'm disappointed. But if there's anything I've learned by having kids, it's not about me or my plans or my desires.
I dropped the boys off and went grocery shopping. Just got home and made a homemade sausage egg McMuffin, so yeah. The new week "diet" is going well. It was an egg white and multigrain English muffin, so that's semi-good, yes?

I'm not even going to comment on sleep anymore. It's just horrendous in this house. Unless he's moving (swing or car) or touching me, he doesn't sleep. And even in those circumstances he doesn't stay asleep more than 1.5-2 hrs at a time.
Dd went to sleep at 7 so I went to bed with DS at 8.
Today is a holiday so DH is home from work and no school or dance for DD. My mom was on vacation last week and got back last night, she's going to come over to visit at some point today. Hope to do lots of cleaning and some meal prep today.
sanibel21 - I'm glad the meds are helping you, but sorry that it seems to be affecting your DS's sleep.
I'm sorry for those who had crappy sleep last night.
DS actually slept from 7:30pm - 4:08am, had a bottle and then woke up when I got in the shower just before 6am. I wish I could soundproof the wall between the bathroom and his bedroom. I already moved his crib to the opposite side of the room last weekend because it had been right up against the wall. I think it helps a little bit, but there is nothing to muffle the noise.
I am not feeling great. My head is congested and I just generally feel kind of crappy and really tired. I don't have a fever, so hopefully that's a good sign that I haven't caught DD1's flu. I'm staying in my office and trying to keep my germs to myself today, though. DD is feeling a lot better, but still has quite a cough. There's not school today or tomorrow, thankfully, so she's hanging out on my parents' couch. Hopefully she'll be good to go to school on Wednesday.
It's a holiday here today so DH is home. Of course he's sitting around doing nothing. We're taking the kids out later for a walk since its decently warm. no other plans for the day.

sanibel21 I am glad to hear that the Zoloft is helping you, makes it even sadder it's not agreeing with DD2. Def recommend talking to your OB (or whoever prescribed the Z) and made DD2's pedi? jwinct Hope the flu stays away, and glad to her your girl is on the mend.
I dragged myself into work. Will put in some telework hours later to make up for it, blech. ksyknelvr73, iwantbacon, thanks for the advice. I think we'll try arms out again tonight. I'm hoping it was just a tummy-trouble thing.
Anyone else's LO constantly slam their legs against the mattress at night? This isn't a new thing, but it's SUPER loud on the monitor and DH noticed it in the kitchen last night. DS loves to "crib kick" as I'm calling it.

Just talked to my recruiter and I didn't get the job. They offered me a different position (lateral move), but I declined. I'm trying not to be ridiculously bummed about it but I still am. They were "very impressed" but ultimately are going with someone who has "more experience". It kind of pisses me off b/c even though the word "manager" isn't in my job title, I do a crap-ton of it (with quite a bit of indirect reporting) and I'm fully capable of doing it.
Trying to remember that my current situation is not a bad one. It really isn't. And my boss applied for another position, so if he gets that, I am very possibly next in line for his position. That's what I'm going to focus on.

Plus one to the Merlin being awesome.
And DD was due 10.24 and born 10.18. She had been doing the every 2.5-3 hour wake ups for a week to a week and a half and last night slept for 9 hours straight. Not sure that it's anything more than a fluke but I'm going to hope so. Of course we have 4 month shots this afternoon so that may be good or bad.
Man I love my mom. She's been entertaining the kids while DH helped me clean the house and now I'm busy in the kitchen prepping a bunch of snacks and meals. It's nice being able to do a task start to finish without being interrupted 10 times.
