I have a cold! I was doing so good with avoiding most of the sicknesses roaming around but now I have the sore throat and congestion.
DD was eating breakfast and with only 3 bites left she realized she was wearing the purple bib and not her favorite green bib. She's been on the floor screaming for 15 minutes now.
emmalynn Sorry about the cold, I had one a week or two ago and it was miserable!
I'm totally drained from the weekend. Being outside a ton with a super active toddler took every ounce of energy I had! I was thinking of starting to wash baby clothes today but I guess it's really a bit early for that. I finally have the closet cleaned out and I want to start getting these clothes out of the totes in my room!

emmalynn, sorry about having a cold. I had one 2 months ago and it sucked. My dad and DD are just getting over theirs and now my mom has it. So far, MH has managed to avoid it.
lupincat, I plan on starting to wash baby clothes either next weekend or the following. The furniture is being delivered on 3/2 so I want to wait until closer to then when I'll actually have a place to put them away. I bought some Dreft because I like scented Tide for our clothes but until we know baby boy doesn't have skin allergies, I'll wash his stuff in the gentle detergent.
Is anyone else noticing a reemergence of pregnancy symptoms? I feel just generally icky 24/7 again and I'm back to not really being able to eat much, especially in the evenings. I take 2 bites of dinner and I'm full. Add that on top of feeling huge and it being hard to move and I am very much over being pregnant at this point.
my sister came over to watch the girls because school and daycare are closed today. I'm so jealous. It's going to be nice again today and I'm stuck at work while they're all at home having fun.
I did too much cooking yesterday and now my lower back is on fire. hope the chiropractor helps this afternoon. I also have a MW appointment and will finally get to meet the new MW...I was on her schedule once but she was sick. Since I scheduled out all my 2 week appointments through the end of March, I was able to get a good rotation through all three of them.

Boo Monday. DS kept waking up throughout the night coughing so we had a rough night of sleep. Planning on going to yoga later this morning and maybe a run tonight. There's a girls night tonight at some Italian restaurant for drinks and dessert, but I'm not sure if I want to go yet. I probably should go and socialize. Plus there will be tiramisu.

BabyStandish, I think I might start keeping some crackers by my bed again. I didn't have this last time but I was on Zofran the whole time. I still take Diclegis but it is definitely not as helpful as Zofran. I feel like this baby likes to spread out more than DD did. I will feel him low by my bladder and then the next thing I know, I feel him by my ribs. I think he's squishing my insides more than DD did. But only 9 1/2 more weeks!

sleepymonkey eek! 9 1/2 weeks is so close! It's more like 12/13 for me. I have a feeling once I hit 3rd tri next week I'm going to have a mini freak out since I haven't really done anything to prepare.

BabyStandish, I can't believe we're all so close! I am feeling a lot better now that we got the nursery mostly cleaned out and ready for furniture but I was just sitting in a meeting and started making a list in my head of everything I still need to do/get before this kid comes. I think I missed more than half of what was said in the meeting.
can someone remind me how much drawer space I'm going to need (no closet space available)
DD1&2 both had a full dresser in their nurseries...the top drawer was cloth diapers, etc. and then I think two drawers for clothes.
I don't have that and will need to get creative. Maybe I just need to get the baby clothes bin down and to help DH see the reality of us needing to figure something out.
Busy day/ week at work, plus H is working long hours so really not much help with DD. The plus side is that it will probably go by quickly.
I have my 28 week appointment tomorrow and I'm getting tested for everything under the sun apparently, starting with the good ol' GD test. I've been treated 3 times in the last month for a bacterial infection, and once for a UTI, and I think I still have both, so will ask them to check that. It's making me so miserable...I want to cry.
lupincat, I think I'll be washing and putting clothes away next month.
emmalynn, sorry you're dealing with a cold, that's the worst
chknma, I only needed 2 drawers for DD, but I didn't do cloth diapers which I imagine take up more room than disposables, and I only had 1 size out at a time.
Post by sleepymonkey on Feb 20, 2017 12:12:29 GMT -5
chknma, I think we used 4 drawers for DD. One for pj's, one for onesies and bottoms, one for outfits, and one for socks and other accessories. But admittedly I totally overbuy for babies so I needed room,
Hi ladies. DH is working and DD is at daycare but I have the day off today - did some shopping and cleaning this morning and now just hanging out relaxing. I'm getting over illness number 7 of this pregnancy, which I thought was a resurgence of a sinus infection but the doctor at urgent care told me was probably another cold. I'm off tomorrow too but have to go for my 3-hour GTT first thing in the morning so that will suck I'm sure. Otherwise trying to enjoy the time off to myself!
sleepymonkey I feel you on the return of symptoms. I've had nausea and headaches all this week. I keep telling myself only 10 1/2 weeks to go.
Everyone is off today. I got up with DS because I was hungry. We spent 2 hours putting together a Lego boom truck this morning. DH made us waffles when he woke up.
DH went through a bunch of old baby clothes his brother gave us and donated things won't use last night. So nice to get stuff out of the house.
I pulled out a container of blankets and sheets to see what we had. They stink like spit up or something :s.
Work from home day today. I'm putting DD down for a nap and then get some stuff done. @lildiamondeyes I've got to price my clothes for our kids sale in a couple weeks. They are sorted and ready and I'm trying not to wait till the last minute because that's what I do every time.
+1 on needing small frequent meals. Hunger quickly segues into nausea these days.
I'm listening to DS be sad and resist a nap in his room and fighting the urge to go in there. We spent the morning playing with his cousins and he is SO exhausted he fell asleep in the 10 min ride back to our house but the car seat to crib transition did NOT go over well. I want to go in there but I also know if I do, a nap is not happening today. Please give up, DS!

Ugh that happened to us after playgroup last week but I stupidly went in and that was the end of "naptime". I hope your DS gives up the good fight soon!

So now that I have my RCS scheduled, I'm trying to figure out what the "correct" answer is when someone asks my due date. Do I tell them 5/6, which is the official due date, or 4/28, which is my scheduled RCS? I know it doesn't really matter but I'm torn.

Hi everyone! Add me to the list of having pg symptoms return. Though for me I have just started getting full soooooo fast and then I feel awful and huge and tight and like there's just no space in my abdomen. I still have no idea what BH feel like but wonder if I get them.
Today we finished a huge book cataloging project as one part of clearing out the nursery. We got this awesome app that scans barcodes for books so we now have all my books boxed up but we know what's in each box! For now they're going to the basement until the day when we can have a nice reading area (with lots of bookshelves) in a new house. We have one box called "to read" that is staying out somewhere. Tonight we have our first hypnobirthing class so I'm super excited about that. I think there are only 2 other couples so it will be nice and small and I already know the instructor so that's cool. (She also teaches prenatal yoga.). I don't think DW is looking forward to it at all. Oh and we finally bit the bullet and dropped my car off for an insane amount of work it's been needing. I'm expecting it to cost around $1500!!

sleepymonkey for me it would depend on whether you want everyone knowing exactly when you're having the baby. You could just use your actual DD then when s/he's early be like surprise! And then tell those the RCS date who you want to know.

He eventually fell asleep standing up leaning against the side of the crib holding his blanket and monkey haha! I was going to go in and ease him down but he did that himself after a minute or two (or fell over, hard to say haha!)
I get third tri heartburn but it's similar to the beginning of MS. I'm already over it and taking Zantac daily.
Also, it would be nice for these headaches to go away. My MW gave me permission to take periodic Advil since I can't take tylenol for them but also strictly stated that I am to call if they get any worse
I lost my compression socks and am currently debating if pro compressions buy 2 at full price, get 3 free is worth it (they're $50/pair but with the three free, it's 5 pair for $100 flat) for the next 10ish weeks.
sleepymonkey, I am in a similar boat but one day earlier, my due date is 5/5 and my RCS is 4/27. Honestly so far I mostly just tell people the due date when they ask. I've shared the RCS date with some family and close friends, but there's a weird part of me that doesn't want to tell everyone.
sleepymonkey my standard response has been "I'm due on May 22, but will have a csection scheduled early". I don't want people to know the actual date when it's scheduled so they'll be told the first or second week of May.
I have horrible heartburn too. I had it with C so I was kind of expecting but damn is it annoying.
We went to the library today then a quick trip to ulta then McDonald's for lunch and some playing. Now H is finishing up the baby's closet and I'm sitting on my ass watching him because I'm exhausted. I guess I could be thinking about what to make for dinner.

I am so annoyed right now. My mom called at lunch time to tell me that DD is having constipation issues today. She is on daily Miralax for this issue and has been for almost a year (it's actually a problem she has had since infancy) and as long as she has her Miralax, she's fine. She was with my in-laws this weekend so I texted MIL to ask if she have her the Miralax and MIL said "She didn't seem to need it." I texted back "Well she's having issues today." She texts "She didn't have problems at our house." WTAF? We told her to give it to her, she knows she gets it daily, and she just decided not to give it to her for 2 days. I am so pissed because DD gets constipated to the point of being physically sick and MIL knows that. I'm hoping the dose I gave her this morning helps.
Had the day off with DH. We went to breakfast then went to order the glider from BBB, they happened to have the one we wanted in stock so we got to bring it home today 😀. I was expecting to wait 6 weeks so it was good news.
sleepymonkey, oh I would be so pissed. I'm sorry your MIL did that and is being so ignorant about it. And +100 on the re-emergence of symptoms. General ick and heartburn, ugh.
I am beat. We ran around like crazy people all weekend since we were up north for my baby shower. The shower was great! But I didn't realize how tiring it was to open presents, ha. We got tons of clothes, of course, and they were all so adorable. We got lots of practical things too.
Eased back into work today with a shorter day. This is going to be a busy week, though, so I'll have to knock it out from here on out. Weee.
sleepymonkey Oh man, I would have a hard time not being super irritated by that. What is so hard for people to understand?? I'm sorry your DD is having an issue today, I hope it passes quickly.
