sleepymonkey oh hells no, I would have DH on the phone with his mother so fast!!! You can't just ignore the parent's healthcare directives! Your poor DD...I hope she feels better!

Also I gave up on my real due date once they told me the potential RCS date. Now when anyone asks about my due date, I say the last week of April. I don't particularly mind if people know the final date when we choose it but this LO will def be an April baby.

Put me in the "so many symptoms" camp! This pregnancy is SO much harder than my last one! Last night my reflux was so bad that I couldn't fall asleep, so I got up and ate cereal. That helped but then of course I was peeing for the next hour! And DH has been super whiny the past couple days about being constipated, and I'm just like, really dude? Tell it to someone who hasn't been constipated for 6 straight months! So glad I'm only 9 weeks from baby day!

Had a great day off with DD. We made play dough in the AM (she still eats it, so I have to make the homemade non-toxic stuff) and she took an early nap. In the afternoon, we went to our local aquatics center where she went down the water slide solo, got thoroughly dunked, and amazed all the moms watching by coming up laughing and asking to go again. I was totally panicked but she loved it! I think we might take DH next time lol. Then we came home and played outside in the beautiful weather...drew with chalk, took a walk, and jumped in the bouncy house. She was in bed by 6:00 and I'm on the couch, pretty much sore all over and completely exhausted. It was totally worth it though! Back to work tomorrow for a very busy, albeit short, week.

lupincat, my in-laws are known for blatantly disregarding our wishes/ instructions when it comes to DD. They think I'm too rigid, I guess because I want DD to go to sleep at a reasonable time, take naps, not have caffeine or artificial sweeteners and be able to poop without problems.

sleepymonkey ugh that is my biggest fear with my parents that they totally ignore certain things. I'm sorry you're dealing with that! Will your H talk to them about it?

I feel like so many of you are going to have April babies and a bunch of us are in the late May camp. I'm going to get so impatient lol.

It was so great. A whirlwind, but I couldn't have asked for better. My mom, cousin, and sister did an amazing job planning it. There were owls everywhere, and everything was color-coordinated. We even had owl cupcakes that my cousin made from scratch. H and my dad hung out with the guys and had a good time, then they packed everything up for us. 

Another cousin got me this gorgeous wooden growth chart that says "future bookworm." I love it!

rosesquared, H will not confront his mom about it because he is always worried about offending her. MH isn't as close as he feels like he should be with his family so he seems to walk on eggshells with them. It is always up to me to stop them from doing something we don't want them to do with DD when we're with them. So I look like the bitch but I don't care because she is my child and my wishes (which are not unreasonable at all) should be followed. And I'm not saying my parents are angels when it comes to DD. They let her get away with a lot more than they should. But at least if we give them explicit instructions, they follow them. Ahhhh, family dynamics.

sleepymonkey , that would drive me insane. H is similar in that he's very anti-confrontation, and not super close with his family. I told him that needs to change with the baby coming, because I am not dealing with it. I may have gotten very animated about it... I hope your in-laws step up! It sucks that you have to handle it all.

sleepymonkey, I think it's one thing for grandparents to bend the rules a bit occasionally...an extra snack, staying up a bit (not hours!) past bedtime, etc....but ignoring something my child needs medically would exclude them from being able to have the PRIVILEGE of overnight visits. Would YH or ILs respond to not being able to have DD for overnight/weekend visits due to your concerns....I hate to sound like you'd be threatening them all...but it sounds like you've addressed them honoring your wishes multiple times and they still do what they want

chknma, after a rough afternoon/evening, she was finally able to pass the blockage so she was much happier this morning. This was actually the first time my in-laws ever kept DD overnight. When I go to the hospital to have baby boy, they are going to come up here and stay in a hotel for a few days and want to keep DD with them. We were going to let them but now I think I will ask my parents (who live in town) to keep her. I have a feeling my mom will insist on keeping her anyway because she was almost as upset as I was that MIL ignored our instructions.

Honestly, I hate when people preemptively buy things like that. We got a few onesies with zodiac signs on them for DS1... yeah, he wasn't born with that sign (we don't transcribe to that stuff anyway but still).

We've never had a baby in the due date month...two big sisters came early!


Hoping we can make t to May with this one!! Her sister was also a May DD and came 3 weeks early in April so even though their birthdays will be close regardless I'm hoping they'll each have their own birth month

That's horrible sleepymonkey.

I feel like I am further along than I am in size and comfort, 5th baby I tell ya. I looked at a picture of my last baby and I am as big as I was when I was 32 week. I feel achey already which isn't the norm, I tend to feel like this more towards the end. I am 27 weeks only! I am getting induced on the 12th if I haven't gone into labor before then. Work, family schedules, childcare, and such are my reasons for inducing. He has always measured ahead, so I wonder if I o'ed earlier than day 14, CM and timing really suggest that, so I might be closer to 40 weeks, than 39 in reality by that time anyhow. That's over 11 weeks away, seems like an eternity, I am just too excited to see him.

sagen, I am a lot more uncomfortable now at 29w than I was at 40w with DD. I have always heard that's common with second+ pregnancies but I was hoping to at least make it close to my due date before I was over it. I have been measuring ahead for the past 6 weeks and the MW keeps mentioning that I probably O'ed early but I was charting, temping, using OPKs so I pretty much know when I O'ed. This kid just wants to be a big boy.

While I feel heavier than I did with DS1, i think I'm in a minority that I'm actually more comfortable this time around though that changes at night time. I'm thanking my chiropractor for that one..
