dashook we're just up to our ears in Reno projects. We've had contractors here everyday remodeling the master bathroom. Plus DH has ripped up our backyard to install turf. And somewhere in between there we are having our big picture window replaced and the house painted.
I'm just running around procrastinating from homework and doing nursery projects/keeping the toddler from getting into shit.

We all went to bed at 8:15 tonight. Dh has to work early tomorrow. Alex fell asleep first. Leo was up to no good. I told dh I had to use the bathroom...20 min ago. Leo isn't crying for me so whatever not going back. I'm in the couch very comfy and catching up on Parenting.
When I picked Leo up at DC I asked if he had a snack. He said "yes". When I asked what he ate, he replied "a snack". Duh mami. Love our conversations.
ashlantic so glad H is finally feeling better! littlelion how are you doing after the return to work? Did it go okay overall? I am kinda looking forward to getting back to work but dreading fitting in pumping.
What is everyone up to this weekend?
I did half days this week. I like being on my own and using my brain. I get home in much better spirits and can handle Leo with more patience. So, yeah, liking this working thing so far. But I'm sure 2-3 months down the line I'll change my tune.
Pumping has been ok, as in I'm getting milk in a reasonable time. But scheduling time, jeez. Not sure how long I can keep this up. I need to pump at least 3 times and it's hard to get away with deadlines, mtgs and lunch.
Ugh, lo's cold has moved into the fun phase where he coughs, but is so snotty he pukes it up. He puked last night and again at breakfast. But other than that he's super happy.
Going to check out some new build homes this morning. Fx that maybe this might be our shot to move.
Finally getting a chance to check in after another crazy week. Wednesday was my student's wake and I was so emotionally drained after that I couldn't sleep and called in sick Thursday. We're having a low key weekend since it's gloomy and pouring rain. Finally have some pics to AW! We took F to her first hockey game, she was in awe and sat through two periods before getting antsy!
Our budding soccer star lol
So obsessed with her puddle jumper she wears it around the house
Another beautiful day here! Both kids are napping at this rare moment so DH and I are rewatching the Superbowl on our DVR. After they wake up we're going to grill and hang out outside.
I'm getting anxious for actual spring/summer to be here!
littlelion my aunt has one on her basement to work out on and lo LOVED it when we were there at Christmastime. He still talks about jumping on the "jumping bean." And omg at that little smirk on his face. So cute and mischievous. Lol megpie5 F is the cutest little hockey fan! And big hugs to yiu. Hope you're able to relax and recharge this weekend. That sounds so tough. dashook sounds like an awesome Saturday! ourcrazynavylife how's she liking soccer?
Omg. You guys. We ended up putting a deposit down to hold a lot for a new house. We need to scramble to get pre-approved for a builder's loan before we leave for vacation next week, but so far we're going forward with this. Send all the good vibes you've got that this all works out!
Lo hasn't had much of an appetite today, but seems fine. Hopefully he bounces back before we leave on Tuesday. I got out some water beads for him yesterday and he played with them literally all day. It was fabulous. I got them back out today and repurposed a strand of Xmas lights and a big tupperware tote into a makeshift light table.

ashlantic how exciting! Good luck! Does that mean you get to make some design decisions too? Fx your lo is 100% feeling better for your vacation. He looks enthralled with the waterbeads, very cool idea! I see the cat likes it too. 🐱

We've got a dude here helping DH clear out the soil/weeds in our backyard in preparation for the turf install. I'm so excited for DD to have a nice area to play outside finally. And his friend from work is gifting us one of the toddler slides his girls have outgrown. So excited!!
ourcrazynavylife that looks awesome! Those colors really pop! littlelion yup, we'll get to make some decisions. I'm actually headed over there today to decide on what upgrades we want. It's not likely we'll pick too many upgrades since this is kind of already at the top of our budget. It'll be fun picking floors and cabinets and things though!
