So our first born is Ben.jamin (Re.id) - Benj/Ben/Benny for short. For the twins we really like Ge.nevi.eve (Gr.ace) for our girl and Alex.ander (Co.le) for our boy. We'd call them Z.an and Ev.ie for short. However, my husband thinks Ben/Z.an are too similar sounding.
I love the idea of having a Zan, but I just don't see myself with an Alex. What are your thoughts -- too similar sounding?

Ben and Zan do sound kind of similar to me. In the sort of way that they would be a tounge twister if you tried to say them fast. Are you dead set against Alex?
I love those names! My thoughts went along the lines of how are Ben and Zan similar so I think it's fine. I prefer Zander as a nickname to Zan but I like two syllable nicknames.
Thanks, ladies! I know he may prefer a different name later in life and that's okay too - I think that's why I like Alexander. Lots of options. I need to work on spelling lastkiss and how we'll go about his nickname. I enjoy Xander as well! Just "Zan" for short.
