I am still mostly pumping as I continue to work with a lactation consultant on latching. I've consistently gotten 21-25oz per day pumping 7-8 times a day. I usually nurse twice a day too. Today I've gotten only half my usual output so far. I nursed twice, and both seemed to be the most successful nursing sessions I've had yet (she didn't drink from the bottle after like previous times). I'm concerned because DH will be gone at work for 24 hours tomorrow and it's more challenging for me to carve out all my pumping sessions when I'm on my own.
Should I be concerned that something is going on with my supply or is it possible I'm just having an off day? If it matters, Z was 4 months old on Friday.
How was your fluid intake on that day? I find the pumping volume is greatly affected by how hydrated I am.
Also stress can cause an off day (at least for me). If you're worried about your H going back to work, maybe that's preventing you from fully relaxing and getting a good output?

Thanks all. Unfortunately I can't think of anything I did differently food/water intake wise, and I'm only 4 1/2 weeks PP so no period yet. I suppose it could be stress. I'm trying not to freak out because today has been another very low volume day. I'm not even pumping what she eats in a day now, which has me really worried. I am using new tubing on my pump, but there's definitely still suction. lilyelayne what did you mean about changing pump parts? If it stays like this another day or two I'll probably call the LC.

Membranes or valves or duckbills depending on your pump.
If breast size changed with supply regulation, you could need different size flange than you've been using. But that would probably be a bit more obvious.
Your first post said 4 months and that is when my period returned with a few of my kids. Anyways, at 4 weeks, it's probably just initial oversupply regulating. I was always engorged and made a ton until things calmed down after a month or so.
Ugh, oops sorry! Yeah that was supposed to say 4 weeks.
